Man, you Thorn haters need to use it in PvP after getting both unique traits unlocked. Last round is a killer and the damage over time effect of each round will make you win every 50/50 exchange.

Thorn is the biggest piece of crap to grace my inventory. I put a ton of effort into 500 void kills in PvP and the heroic strike to unlock it.

It's garbage. Ugh.

Milk was a bad choice.

Lol

Thorn in PvP can get you a kill with 2 headshots or 3 body shots. The damage over time acts as a "wall hack" too, since you'll see the numbers for a few seconds popping off them.

Just saw this on Destinypedia:

I wonder, was the Reef at one point a town? (Hence the third person. The Fallen is merely a Guard, just like the Frames are in the Tower.)

I recall pre-release there being talk of two "hub towns" so I wanna say yeah.

So now that the community has had some time to digest; how difficult is the Raid, going it on normal for the first time? Would it be far easier going in armed with some knowledge/subtle hints on how to tackle each portion?

Also, did some team really beat it in under an hour?

I want The Last Word so bad. I think Thorn would be able to hold me over. I don't even have a legendary weapon yet and I'm level 28 :(

I really suggest playing it blind the first time and making the connections yourself. I can honestly say if Bungie made the rest of the game like the raid, it wouldn't be getting mediocre reviews.

EDIT: Just realized I didn't really answer the question. It can be quite difficult, but you get the hang of it eventually. I personally recommend being at least lvl 27.

Only consult guides for finding loot chests.

So I need a lot of Spirit Bloom from Venus to upgrade my Queen's Wrath armor. Been running around like an idiot and so far nothing

Any advice?

Haha, lots of replies. Thanks guys. I'll do it even if the weapon is crap. I'm a bit tired of farming for materials right now, so I need something else to do for a while.

Yeah it's in a different section of Venus, though I can't remember what it was called. Try using your vehicle to get some distance from the start point.

Here's to hoping that Xur sells the Ice Breaker this week, though considering the Nightfall mission I suppose that'd be just a little bit too convenient.

There's an area on venus you spawn there when you do the nexus strike(forgot the name). Thats where you can farm chests and spirit bloom.

There is a generous amount of spirit bloom in that world, go everywhere there's even a massive area where none of the venus missions takes you to.

Only reason I haven't junked it, but it eats up so much XP and the Invective is so much more useful. Everyone knows PvP is an Auto Rifles game anyway.

If only the Thorn were full auto like the Invective though. *banderas.gif*

I swear this game just doesn't give a fuck. Yesterday I had a Legendary Engram actually turn into a Legendary I could use, for only the second time in 50+ hours of playtime. Guess what; it's the exact same Legendary weapon I got from the first First Legendary Engram that actually turned into something usable... The one that I HAVE ALREADY FULLY UPGRADED.

So I go do the Nightfall ( thanks EverydayMath and MrStephen! ), and guess what?;

Everyday Math was a Hunter and got an Exotic Warlock Helmet ( Me and Stephen were Warlocks ), Stephen gets an Exotic Auto Rifle, I get a Legendary LMG that's barely an upgrade over the Rare I was using.

This game just does not give a fuck.
They really need to change up the loot system.

1) Stop faking me out. ( Legendary Engrams should give Legendary stuff. This has nothing to do with droprate; I'm not asking for more Legendary drops, I'm asking for Legendary drops to actually be Legendary. )
2 ) Get me smart loot. ( High-end loot should be heavily biased to the class you are currently playing. )
3 ) Loot tiers should be tied to enemy tiers. ( Bosses and Majors should have higher drop-rates than your regular Dregs / Acolytes / Shanks. This would at least go some way in making strikes and missions more rewarding than just going into Explore and mindlessly blasting tons of Dregs. )
4 ) Level-biased loot. ( I should not get heaps upon heaps of lv. 16 / 18 Rare gear at lv. 28. It is completely useless and makes finding upgrades for existing weapons through normal play nearly impossible. Just give me lv. 20 gear. )
5 ) Cooperative activities should award participants consistently, not reward any certain player less than the others based on pure RNG. It makes that player feel shitty despite having participated just as much in the activity as the others.

C'mon Bungie, you can do better than this...

Nothing beats an "You're already dead" moment when you know the guy is going to die from your damage over time and you just bail as he panics with his last moments of life.

just tried to do a Queen's mission in the cosmodrome and shat on by the fucking flying turrets, all my shots were immune

WTF?!

Elementals play a part, I got mauled by them to, fuckers actually rushed me knowing full well I ran out of shotty ammo. >:(

Worse is when you do take out their shields they go out like a bitch with any gun.

So, Destiny crashes as I complete the Earth mission.

Lionfish.

Getting pissed off tonight.

I log back in and..get a hood.
Once again...hood and robes, hood and robes, hood, hood, robes.

Real talk, I legit had a dream last night that I received a Monte Carlo. How sad.

lol.

I just got a Monte Carlo tonight from a purple drop from the loot cave that I got from just a quick drive by while I was finishing up a Queen's bounty. To date that makes 9 legendary engrams found, 5 turned into purple items, one materials, two blue and that exotic. Blessed be the Cryptarch!
