Raid enemies are LVL 28.This can be done in 2 weeks. Hell, the only reason to go from 26 to 28 is the lvl 28 daily / nightfall / and heroic weekly.

if only you actually worked for bungie and put all of that information in the gamelong winded work around crappy loot system
Dat Trial period commencing. Abusive relationship ftwI promise I'll be better come back!
I spent two days at 27 because the game refused to cough up Shards from every one of these sources. You're still at the mercy of a die roll.No you aren't. Daily story mission gives ascended mats and can be done on each of your characters. Same for daily public event mail. Same for daily public event completions.
no one does them anyways because they have the same chance to drop engrams as anything else
Do you get shards from dismantling legendary engrams or just legendary gear?

Shit I don't even know what to do in this game besides the loot cave.
(embrace the light)Departure from the Cave
Plato then supposes that one farmer is freed, being suddenly compelled to stand, turn, walk and look towards the fire. The light would hurt his eyes, and cause great difficulty for him to see the object's shadows he had seen before. In his pain, Plato continues, the freed one would turn away and run back to what he can make out; the shadows of the carried objects. He is then told that what he has formerly seen has no substance, and that what he now sees (the carried objects) constitutes a greater reality. When he sees the world outside the cave he begins to question his previous beliefs.
The freed one is then dragged in pain and irritation up and out of the cave. Upon exiting the cave, this discomfort only intensifies as the radiant light of the sun overwhelms his eyes. The sunlight is representative of the new reality and knowledge the freed one is experiencing.
Slowly, his eyes adjust to the light of the sun. He is first able to see only shadows of things. Next he can see the reflections of things in water and later is able to see things themselves. He is then able to look at the stars and moon by night and finally he is able to look upon the sun.

The hard mode raid? Any future raids, which I presume will start at level 30 for normal mode, and be level 32 on hard mode? What content is there at 30 that you're gearing up for?
That is 100% untrue, and all that it tells me is that you don't actually play very many MMOs. There are plenty of MMOs with barter-based endgame progression, where loot is actually, you know, earned - instead of being randomly assigned.I actually will have fun, no need to worry about that. Welcome to every MMO ever, where what drops you get is random.
Fantastic post.Everyone complains about lack of loot. Bungie reduced drop rate of engrams.
People say buy your own and dont rely on engrams. Bungie eliminates ascendant materials from Queen's wrath.
Game is supposed to be social. Bungie patches out the most social location in the game.
People complain about not having enough wild encounters. Bungie reduces the respawn rate at the few places who have plentiful encounters.
Was anyone really complaining about the Loot Cave? Or the drop rates? Or about getting materials from Queen's wrath? Were these things that anyone actually wanted "fixed"? Who are these fixes meant to please? Is this making the game more enjoyable for anyone?
And yet all the fixes people are actually almost unanimously begging for are ignored. Bungie needs to stop yelling "youre not playing it right!" and analyze why people arent playing it "right."
Solutions that Bungie clearly has no interest in implementing? It's pretty clear that they're 100% focused on slowing player progression no matter what, because instead of fixing any of the multitude of other problems, the first thing they do in the game is nerf progression. It's a bad omen, I say.Man, you are so pessimistic about everything. You ok? You come in here to bitch and moan consistently and talk down about the game and Bungie. Hopefully it's making you feel better or something, but damn, quit bitching all the time. If you really feel as you say you do, stop coming here, stop playing the game, and sell it.
You want to be a productive contributor, talk solutions.
All RNG.No you aren't. Daily story mission gives ascended mats and can be done on each of your characters. Same for daily public event mail. Same for daily public event completions.
Hard mode raid? The amount of materials needed to reach level 28 isn't particularly large. Unless you're pushing all your gear to 29 (why?), you don't need a ton of shards.
Which would be great, if higher level enemies didn't roflstomp you into oblivion. On top of that, I'm not sure people have realized that higher attack does precisely fuckall for you against enemies of a lower level, it helps if you're fighting higher level enemies.
So why bother progressing at all, then? Why even play the game, for that matter? If you've beaten it when you hit 28, might as well stop playing!Or to put it another way, if you're blowing all your energy and shards upgrading all your weapons and armor, you're wasting them for no good reason.
The scaling was pretty extreme, even if the beta where the cap was level 8.More confusion and misunderstanding.
You aren't going to get one shot in iron banner if you're lower level. The scaling won't be anywhere near as harsh as it is in pve.
And given that you can get within 2 levels of cap with minimal pain, yeah. Not much reason to panic.
People do strikes all the time. Daily, weekly, nightfall, for bounties, the vanguard strikes. I know the purpose isn't getting engrams, but it's nice to pick them up. Now you'll see less if you wipe, which is easy to do playing solo and happens with others too for dumb reasons or if you're playing high levels.
People aren't going to notice it, but it's still a shitty consequence of this farming fix when there are probably better ways to go about it.
But we didn't adequately communicate the potential random outcomes of decryption. Players see what looks like the familiar metaphor of item identification, while the Cryptarch thinks he's opening a grab bag of loot. Rage sharding of blues ensues. Expect to see changes to address this soon.
Why fix the cave? Why not fix the reason why everybody was farming the cave.
So would you not call the Christmas Cave an exploit?
Well it's getting a buff in the future according to Bungie, so you're in luck haha
Do the nerfs mean they'll be nerfed for PvE as well?

I'm interested to see what Bungie has planned, because no way this game lasts until the next expansion with the current level of content. Pls tell me I'm wrong Bungie D:
I love the game but damn is the lack of content tough.
are they going to nerf bladedancer? cause really that's the one thing that needed nerfing

Armor in particular should only be capped if it is either a) raid armor that goes to 30 light or b) you're pushing to hit 29 so you can do the hard mode raid.
Otherwise you can reach 28 reasonably easily (especially easily now that queen is giving you free chest/helm, that means you need a whopping 65 marks or 130 marks to cap out in armor depending on what xur has for you).
Once you're 28 you can do the weekly nightfall easily, and all other existing content outside the hard mode raid without trouble.
If you want to do the hard mode raid right now, then yeah, you're going to have to triple farm dailies and weeklies with three capped characters, but for literally any other content in the game, you do not need to do so (and frankly, doing daily and weekly events on three different classes sounds a hell of a lot more fun to me than farming engrams, ymmv).
The sheer amount of misinformation and FUD being talked in this thread is unreal, I think I'm going to take a hiatus for a few days until things calm down or we get a dedicated gameplay talk thread in community or something.
There's very little point in attempting to ask or answer gameplay questions in the OT when the majority of posts are throwaway rants that we've seen posted literally hundreds of times.
On top of that there's a ton of misunderstanding, confusion, or outright false complaints about the way loot and progression function in the game. A lot of that is on Bungie, they fucked up by not laying out progression clearly, but the information is out there, if you care to look for it.
Hell, a lot of the information is right here in linked posts in these threads, but again, it's drowned out by the noise.
are they going to nerf bladedancer? cause really that's the one thing that needed nerfing
Part of the issue seems to be people are only playing the game for loot and not to actually play the game (i.e. the strikes and raids only have value insofar as they give me loot, not for their own merit).
are they going to nerf bladedancer? cause really that's the one thing that needed nerfing
Wait, how do you hit 28 without spending a lot on the armor? Specially the "Armor in particular should only be capped if it is either a) raid armor that goes to 30 light or b) you're pushing to hit 29 so you can do the hard mode raid."
I'm currently 27, and that's with all legendaries and a (maxed out) exotic gauntlet. The armor is all 'maxed' but I haven't applied the final defense boosts to them because I need a TON of ascendant materials for each level. I used a bunch of the queen loot to fill out the gaunlets, but everything else isn't, and I'm only around halfway into the level bar.
Exactly this. I'm actually glad I don't have to bother with those Queens quests anymore. Even as it was, I was only able to do about 3 or 4 a day.
I think the simplicity of these changes is VASTLY overrated.I don't disagree, but the frustrating part is how there are a ton of seemingly simple fixes that need to be made elsewhere...
