I agree they never explained it, which is ok we figured it out ourselves but still, it doesnt mean we should make it our job just to get a new weapon/armor. It's suppose to be fun!

Yeah I got a bunch of legendaries out of the cave and from the cryptarch for all the other engrams I got to it. I got to level 27 first through the normal means and I was surprised at how effective it was.
If it was only 1 hour per legendary people wouldn't be bitching about RNG as much.

Got up today, went to do some cave looting because my controller is malfunctioning and I cant do much else until I get a new controller which wont be for a while due to being poor... i am disappoint.

Yes, because, you know, despite what you may think, I can't solo a raid. I only have time very late at night to do the raid, so I use the LFG website to find whatever ragtag group I can join. I was also 27 during the raid, not that it matters.

It's pretty disingenuous to just say that legendary engrams only decrypt to blues.
Some also decrypt to legendaries for classes that you aren't playing

Used 3 legendary engrams I had saved up from yesterday, all 3 were legendary, 2 fucking comedians.
The only thing I got from a Legendary Engram was a legendary Shotgun. Every gear I got was through Crucible marks. This week I'm getting the last piece I need.
I'm at level 26, and have plenty of stuff to upgrade to get me to 28.
I'm not depending on RNG in any way, and I'm having a lot of fun. Maybe the fact that I play other MMOs, like FFXIV, makes things easier for me.

I would do 30 minutes at the cave before logging off every once in a while. Not really a big timesink. It was relaxing and was one of the more social areas in the game. More social than the designated "social" area.

I'll ignore your smartass comment. What issues are you running into when doing the raid? Enemies are significantly easier to deal with going from the jump from 27 to 28. I can only imagine 29 being bigger.
One of the most exciting things for me too... Time to bring juju out of the vault and start leveling it up. Though realistically, what will they do to make it better? Up the magazine count from 15 to 21 or something?

BUT I WILL CORRECT YOUR FACTS, DAMMIT.
I remember loving it when you suggested it, I just didn't think many here would understand it.
It's a shame as I love the story / premise behind it.
That's the only thing I'm upset about, myself. I could care less about the Treasure Cave and I'll be 28 tonight. The Queen's Bounty would've been nice, but I can grind for Ascendants. I'm okay with that.
It's just them not realizing what the players would do that has me confused, concerned, and worried....but whatever, I'll still be headshotting Dregs tonight.
That being said, the reason the Cave is different is it took the players to figure out exactly how the spawn worked and how far to stand to "exploit" it. It's why I said it was low tier. It wasn't a clever exploit, it's not impressive, it would've been discovered rapidly by any number of people....it is exploiting the mechanics, though. They won't spawn if you're close.
The dismantling is not bending or breaking any mechanics. It's just doing what the game taught the player to do. Don't need that green? Dismantle! Don't need that blue? Dismantle!
Don't need that purple? Disman....wait, what?
That's why it's different and that's why it's important to stop people from associating it with the word exploit. It was not. It was an error / lack of foresight on Bungie's part that they're trying to retcon.

Yeah, that's what I'm planning to do. I just hope december's content is indeed new content. I was hoping that this "Queen's Wrath" event would actually bring new/different missions, monsters and maps but - in the end - it was just more of the same, unfortunately.

I got to 28 (will hit 29 tonight) without shooting a cave, others can too.

I liked when the review thread was still open. I have a number of issues with the game and I used that thread to express my grievances. But, yeah, that sort of talk doesn't really fit in here. I understand why the mods did it, but this thread moves so quickly that I would rather it be used to discuss discuss game content and not how Bungie shit the bed on certain things. I suppose you could argue they're one in the same, lol. But again...now that the review thread is closed you can't fault people for talking about the negative stuff here.

You can still get the Legendaries from the Queen missions.
You just wont be able to break them down into Ascendant Shards.

Saw this on twitter..cannot stop laughing. And it's pretty accurate.
We should add another frame with the Destiny player turning in his blue and receiving a literal handful of shit while Borderlands and Diablo frolic in the background.
Maybe I'll do it myself when I have time, which might be sunday afternoon.
I don't think the drops stay there, and the orbit load times would be a nightmare.
