Oh, I just noticed this update that came with the Cave nerf.

Reduced drop rate of engrams following a hard wipe [fixed in 1.0.1.4]

*Clarification: This effect only lasts for a short period of time immediately following a hard wipe

This nerfs the other method of using the Moon mission to farm engrams, right? lol

Btw arc blade is soo much better than fist of havoc. Being able to move and kill multiple targets that are spread out is awesome.

The writing in Destiny is terrible. The dialogue, the overwrought presentation in the cinematics, the way the story doesn't really flow, and so on. There's really no two ways around it. I know some Bungie folks as well, and they are all awesome people. But that does not make them immune to criticism.

Today I got randomly a new legendary handcannon AFTER getting the red hand IX only last night, I also got the mass effect looking AR today in my VERY FIRST PvP match of the day.

The loot system is abysmal and should be burned to the ground, but it's too late now that everyone has random dropped exotics.

Bungie and their talk about how loot has a story is straight out bullshit.

I wasn't saying they should be immune to criticism, I just read that "the names should be made public and they should be shamed" as attacking the people and not the work, hence my reply.

Had he just said the Destiny story is terrible I wouldn't have had a problem with it.
 
What the fuck is this? I do two Queen's bounties, break down the legendary gear to NO SHARDS??? Are you fucking serious Bungie? Has this been patched out? If so - fuck this game, I'm done with it.

Yes they removed shards from any queens gear because it was rather easy to get ass shards, now doing her bounties is near pointless unless you want a purple shader.

Wait till you get to the point where a kill with an arc blade restores your health. For PVE anyway, combining that with going invisible is great.

My story is even better. I went to the Tower's version of Target and bought it for 13 strange coins!
 
Just beat the Nexus (our first time) weekly Heroic on level 26 with 3 underpowered level 25's.

OMG I dont know how we did it, but we did! What a feeling..

I just read it as a way to say the writers should be ashamed. It's harsh but it's not a personal attack. "They should be ashamed for being a stinky poo-poo head" would be a personal attack (and would not be okay). Aren't the writers listed in the credits anyways?

Yep, no more queens bounties for me! Maybe if they gave us a choice after mission completion, like they did with story missions, I'd do it. All I need is a legendary special and I'm in full Purps/Exotics.

As it stands now, Bungie can expect to see a massive drop off in peeps doing those bounties and missions.

My most optimistic take on that line is that they mean stories on how players get through Exotic Bounties. I mean, the only real alternatives are to buy them from a vendor or get them as a random drop, right?

Man, would I love to know what the last six months of putting this game together was like. We need a last days of Destiny or a detailed insider post-mortem at some point. I honestly don't believe that what we got on day one was what was intended all along, and I wonder how far removed from any initials plan things currently are.

Well the already know the names of the writers, somebody took a screencap or something in the writing thread. What I would like to know is who wrote what and was responsible for what. Also some games media people need to find out what went wrong in the writing room so the appropriate people get criticism.

I also want to know so that if the writing in Destiny 2 is that bad, I can lower my expectations appropriately. Appropriately being D-tier anime.

Unlike with ME3 we can't blame it entirely on Casey Hudson and whoever thought Gary Stu Space Ninja was a good idea.

Its like a reverse D3 thread. That game got better with each patch, this game seems to be getting worse the longer it goes on for =\
