Suros regime handles like a dream. I wish exotics didn't take so long to upgrade though. Xur doesn't have those faster auto rifle upgrade things this time.

oh yes

they all float

D: !

honestly I didn't even use the loot caves for engrams, I just used them to leave my guy sitting down for armor exp, or to shoot easily at a group of enemies straight ahead for weapon exp. Not like it matters now as I'd gain more consistent daily exp for both by doing bounties.

If there is one major use for the queen's bounties right now is that some of them can coincide with vanguard bounties. I think from one I grabbed yesterday that I didn't do plus today, there are now two bounties I have to kill Septis Prime. EXP galore yo

Wouldn't people mess with your character like that?

Might have to try this.

Its a good thing I am a gun hoarder... seems like every high level strike or mission we do I am always like "ok use your solar rifles to take down shields" and people are like "huh?" I don't have any solar rifles?"

>_<

I carry special and heavy weapons of different types and elements, I can only pick up so many engrams.

Yes... this might make them open their eyes.

"Why are people spending more time standing still shooting into mob spawners instead of playing our game!?" This means you're loot system is f'd Bungie... Or your game just isn't that good? Not sure which way i'd go just yet.. lol it's entertaining for me though.
i do hope they get it, i love the base game and adore the gunplay. i'm optimistic because when they talked about the treasure cave they pointed out the social aspect and the excitement of running up to the cave to see what you got. they seemed to understand at some level about why people did it.

you're exacting right, the cave and now the closet are a better reward system. people are tired of running missions and having shit to show for it. why 'work' hard when the reward sucks. it's easy to stand in place and farm but it was the best return on time for some people that were tired of longer mission grinds with crappier rewards.

By the way Hawkian, bless your cotton socks dude. Your constant updates, tips, advice etc are super helpful. I hope Bungie give you a free copy of the Destiny 2 Special Edition or something for your efforts. You're doing a better job explaining the best progression systems and strategies than Bungie have lol.

There was a group of us planning yesterday and might need a #6. I'll check to see where we're at. It would be great having someone that's been there before.
I forgot to mention I'm on PS4, in case you guys are a MS group.

What's going on with Public events? I've been on the moon patrol for 15 minutes and not a single one has popped yet

I just realized that the Queen's Event is a great way to level up Alternate characters with easy Legendary.

I'm definitely going to take advantage and use them as placeholders until I get better stuff for my alts.

Agreed. Hawk, call dibs on an OP already. Quit bullshittin son!

Yup, vault up. That's what I'll be doing if I keep doing bounties now that there's no ascendant material rewards for dismantling them.

He'll stay there? But if the person dies you have to worry anyway? I may be not understanding you here.

Me and the second guy killed the boss in 30 seconds so it wasn't really an issue. But yes you lure him out and just keep him busy, and yes they can die but then they just call it out and you deal with the minotaur, res and repeat. It might be just as easy to deal with it but that's how we did :3

I think fusion rifles are best for tearing down shields quickly. Sniper maybe if enemy is far away but it seems like most shielded enemies rush you.

Have a few different elemental MGs I really like for huge spawn waves and dealing damage to boss although my fully upgraded shadow price has some pretty great DOT if I can get a clear shoot long enough o empty the mag on the boss.

The recoil on that thing though, in my experience it's all over the place.
DON'T CARE, STILL WANT.

Nope, we're PS4! I only saw your XB GT in your profile. Shoot me a PM if you don't want to post or just add me, my PSN is the same as my gaf name (gawd that's so nice that they're the same now, should've switched a long time ago).

Sure if they're like obsessed with me or something can't blame them.

She has said before she wants an exotic weapon. This week there is the exotic assault rifle people keep getting here in crucible which is really nice, but with debuff incoming for range/stability of AR's and buff for scout rifles and my handcannon, going to start getting better with them. Regardless it's 23 exotic coins so unless somebody wants to carry her through the level 28 weekly she might not have enough for it.

I've been playing mostly with a handcannon as I really enjoy how it fires, but I like to switch it around with all the primaries. However with ARs I've only stuck with the Shingen and anytime a Sahara fell into my inventory I'd immediately dismantle it, seemed useless.

While leveling up my hunter though I ended up with one and it was my only AR so I thought I'd just see. I can't believe how much fun it is to shoot! There is something about that ridiculous rate of fire. It is so great when you have a bunch of enemies in front of you and you just hold the trigger and try to control it. I didn't think I could have fun with such a spray and pray type weapon, but it is great (admittedly this is PvE, don't know if I would have the same sentiment in PvP)

Unrelated, does anyone know the logic behind when you get JIP during strikes and when you don't? I have some where either it just starts us with two or some guy quits and a new one will pop up somewhere along the way and other times where we are left a man down to the end.

Are they buffing the hand cannon? I thought they were leaving it alone.

Just for Defense upgrade and it is not 2 for every upgrade... in the Queen's Legendary Helmet it give me 2, 2, 2, 1, 2... it starts with 18+ and ends with 27+.

No. It is the same.

Exotic: 2, 2, 1, 2, 2

Start with 21+ and ends with 30+.
Just fixing my own mistakes...

Exotics and Legendary gears have a 2. 2, 1, 2, 2 light upgrades based in the defense upgrades.

The difference Exotics starts at 21+ and Legendary at 18+.

Exception is the Raid Legenday Gears that give more Light than normal Legendaries starting on 18+ and reaching 30+... it is 2, 2, 2, 3, 3 (not that order).

You can get a lot done in 3 days. Finish the game and get to 20 I'd say. Skip the grinding afterwards and head to MP.

This was roughly my plan. Like I was saying, I'm trying to "get my feet wet" with the game, not jump into the deep end to do 50 laps. If I like the "feel" (if there ever was a more ambiguous descriptor) of the game overall, I'll likely purchase the full game down the road. I really took a step back a bit when I saw all the middling reviews the game was getting, thus my desire to save the 50+ dollars.

I guess it's the pocket infinity.
Exotic auto fusion rifle.
Because the best kind of infinity fits in your pocket.

Thanks a ton man.

I always think back to when I first started Demon's Souls.

I played for 3 hours and got absolutely nowhere on 1-1. Nowhere. I hadn't been that enraged by a videogame since playing Castlevania 1 as an unprepared 6-year-old. I had rolled thief and was trying full melee, which was as it turns out one of the roughest starts to that game. I poked my head online and was basically pissed posting in the OT here. I wasn't making progress and didn't even understand HOW to make progress. I actually kind of hated the game and I had to some extent bought a PS3 for it alone.

Then GAF helped. They explained the basic systems of the game and the one major key I was missing- I hadn't even reached the hub yet to allow me to progress. And also there's a shortcut lever that acts as a checkpoint. And also there's a crossbow and an awesome ring over there. And if you bait this one guy he's easy to backstab. And firebombs make the boss go all runny.

And BRING MORE SOULS. 600 hours later, the Souls games are among my absolute all-time favorites.

Just trying to return the favor.

I've been relatively lax in my approach to the game so far (ie, life has gotten in the way), leveling up when I had a chance. So, I take a Queens bounty and decide to try a strike for the first time. Level 8 Septis Prime. Clearly, I was not ready as Titan at level 8. Luckily, my partners were relatively patient, reviving me when possible, and I did my best not to get killed when I was last guardian standing.

We made it without a hard wipe, but it wasn't fun. I'm going to stick to the story missions, patrols, and maybe start the Crucible until I get to 20. I need to be on a closer footing with everyone else.

I should get to reading the thread, as well.

Dax can't even do the Level 28 activities since her level is too low. Having an Exotic helmet would definitely get her level up so she can do more things and have more chances to get an Exotic. Being able to do the Level 28 weekly strike would result in more strange coins as well.
