Bungie needs to balance pvp and pve weapons seperately. Pve should be about the effectiveness against the monster. You're a team after all, you're not fighting against each other.

I don't use ARs. What's your gun? Finally got my hands on a Regulator with the "extra damage from last round in chamber" mod. I just need to get OUT of the habit of reloading after kills and I'll be a beast.

But I did buy Suros Regime because I collect exotics I deem useful.

Level 24 is the wall for using just blue gear, you need to buy some legendary stuff from the vanguard/crucible or exotics from Xür, and maybe start praying to the RNG jeezus Rahool for good drops
Do the Queen's Event to get a Legendary Helm and Chestpiece and possibly a Legendary Sniper Rifle.

I am fucking god awful at first person shooter pvp. I destroyed and topped the scoreboards in 2 out of 3 matches using nothing but Pocket Infinity. That should tell you something, my feathered friend.

I'm not a fan of either of the helms. I mean I don't know how Titans play properly so I don't know how much of an advantage either would give but.. one gives you the typical buffs and bubble blindness, the other hust gives a bunch of replenish on hit stuff. The first helm looks cool though, not checked saint.
The chest pieces however are pretty sweet. Ine gives me quick revives and extra ammo, perfect for raids/strikes. The other gives an extra grenade and extra heavy/special ammo.

Damn, I don't know what to do with Xur this week. I'm a Hunter and have enough Motes (28) to try my luck with the Engram and just enough Coins (23) to buy the Suros. I do play a lot of PvP so the radar on the helmet this week seems like it would be awesome to have, but I'm not sure how much that would help me out for PvE missions.
Also, with some changes coming to weapon balance, I'm not sure I want to spend all those coins on a weapon that might not be as good in a few weeks. I love Scout Rifles in PvE, so maybe I'll hang on to my coins for an Exotic one for when they get a buff in PvP.
I'm thinking right now I'm going to gamble on an engram and hope I get a nice Hunter helm from it and then hold onto my coins for a little longer. If that doesn't work I'll just pick up the radar helmet. My Crucible rank is nearing 3, so I guess I'll be able to pick up a nice legendary weapon if I don't end up getting the Suros today. Decisions, decisions.

You probably wear it 20% of the time because you're wearing a faction mark.
The Regulator is a workhorse. Guardians get holes in heads. It has one of the most accurate if understated flavor text descriptions in the game IMO

I have Legendary Chest and Leg gear for my Titan. Should I not buy the Exotic Chest piece from Xur so I can just wait to get Exotic Helmet or Gauntlets?

I have a Level 20 rare hand cannon, Silvered Maverick Mk41, and Thorn. The Silvered Maverick carries 8 rounds and I can either choose to use increased reload speed or explosive rounds in one of the upgrade trees. I also use scout rifles and just got Alpha Centauri as a reward for reaching Vanguard rank 3.
Seems like you love the infinity. That's good news, I have the bounty but have only got 2 fusion rifles so far. Any advice on getting more? Also, that hunter helmet Xur has, at mid 26 am I better off getting that helmet to position myself to get more exotics I might prefer? I do like the radar while ADSing perk but it has strength and I was going for an all discipline build with the blink strike cooldown perk enabled to up my PvP viability.

Sad thing is I will have a thorn from a bounty and two legendarys I found within about 48 hours, all with their good and bad sides. lol RNG

One has a bigger clip and explosive rounds
And the Thorn has that poison effect.

Sadly no. This was my reaction when the gunsmith got them in stock: "BLUE FUSION RIFLES BLUE FUSION RIFLES BLUE FUSION RIFLES"
So I look at it this way: do you have an exotic armor piece of any kind yet? If yes, then don't buy something just to have it. If not, this is a perfect "starter" exotic for either bladedancers or gunslingers IMO. The Radar perk is infinitely useful in PvP and some of the trickier boss fights. You can always keep it to be swapped out when you get an exotic chest or gauntlets you like, and aim to replace with a raid Helm.

What a friend and I did was make an agreement. If the weaponsmith ever sells blue fusion rifles, no matter what fucking time it is, no matter if you know the other person is busy, you will call the other person and get their ass online.
I have a level 18 rare handcannon that outdoes Thorn, lol.
Buy the exotic chest if that's the one you want in the long term. Keep in mind that getting exotics is totally random... this might be the last time you see that exotic chest for the next 6 months.

Ishtar Commons on Venus. Simply run around the perimeter looking in every room you see. The bushels also respawn quickly. After two hour long runs I had enough to fully upgrade the queens helm and sell 100 to the Vanguard...still have blooms left over.
That's also where I got to engram farm since the death of the magical treasure cave. Found the purple engram that gave me my exotic rocket launcher there.
The Saint-14 Helm would be wonderful for Defender Titans in PvE because often when I pop a bubble enemies will rush in not giving a shit, and if they're all blinded and unresponsive when inside my bubble while I have an over-shield and increased damage resistance then I'd have such an easy time handling anytning that is stupid enough to enter.
This will also work well in PvP I think, but I'd have to test it. I'd still prefer my Force Barrier gauntlets for PvP most likely.
You really have all the stuff I want, haha.

I'm so happy... The RNGods didn't see fit to punish me today so I got the Helmet of Ahamkara from the exotic engram. It's not the exact one I wanted but at least it was for same class.
And I got an legendary warlock bond from cryptarch... Today is a good day

But Thorn naturally has a higher Attack rating, so it'll do more damage against high level mobs in PVE. Your hand cannon probably does do better in PVP. But I still like using Thorn even in Crucible. It's a lot of fun.
Here's my suggestion. Pick one exotic and keep it... upgrade it max and don't buy any more exotics. You'll need raid gear to hit level 30 so I wouldn't waste anymore mats or anything buying/upgrading any new armor once you hit around 28. No reason to waste it all to get to 29 when you're stuck until you get raid gear.
If you want an exotic helmet or gauntlets later, then don't buy the chest now. My advice is to pick the one exotic item you want and stick with it for the foreseeable future and work on raids.
It'll be in two weeks, and the people will find another one and then it'll be another 2 weeks etc

I don't know man, things can hit at telescope range... then again PI feels like a railgun...

Look, the Suros a beast but TTK is pretty tiny for all high ROF auto rifles. If you have the jump on someone and half of one eye's worth of aim you can kill them no matter what they're carrying, and your goal is to get the jump on someone, you know, as much as possible.
ARs are getting nerfed for a reason, but if I can be competitive against them with a hand cannon, you certainly can with a lesser AR.
Anyway go defender titan, weapons of light in team modes, armor of light in Rumble, barrier melee. Won't matter what they're shooting at you with in that bubble
