I don't get why people keep saying they are going to fix the engrams/cryptarch. My read on those notes is they are going to fix how the game communicates how shitty they are, not make them better.



To me that says they want to make it clear that it isn't loot identification, but a "grab bag" of loot. Not change the system.

I didn't understand it as tweaking the actual Cryptarch rewards, but rather making it more clear that a purple engram doesn't always mean a purple item, etc. That would be nice though, and it might be worth saving them.

• Buy and equip a Blessing of the Gifted (purported to have some effect on RNG rolls for the cryptarch)
• Decrypt the 15 Legendary Engrams in my Vault of various types
• Any reward engrams I receive as a result of leveling up Cryptarch rank through this process will be placed in the vault, to then be opened after the patch next week and get some baseline data.

Here's my eked understanding:

• Blues right now will have the old drop rates even if decrypted after the patch
• Purples right now will become blues upon the patch, with the new drop rates

I can't imagine how else it'd work.

umm, number2 and I just did the weekly heroic at 26 and got no coins. We did it on the base 24 earlier this week and got 3, not sure why we didn't any for the bump in difficulty.
