Has there been a FF15 photoshop yet?

Looks awesome. I hope they're able to really bring things together and to a close that is enjoyable and satisfying.

That's definitely a possibility, but it looked more to me that
he's part of the metal city guard to be with Opal/train as an earthbender in combat, and is fighting people trying to take it over for the earth reich, hence Suyin looking captured/defeated/sad

Honestly,
it looked like Opal was not at all with the Metal Clan anymore, and her face in some parts gave me the impression she was sad at what became of the Metal Clan.

Yes, that's my worry about the time lapse too. I'm already questioning whether three years is enough time for Kuvira to grow and build strong motivations on what it seems to be 'taking the Earth nation to rebuild it'. She was only mentioned once or twice in the last season as a foreshadowing.

I think it's ok. They don't have to do the whole "wink wink, she is the next villian" thing. It's been 3 years so it would make sense that she became a threat over that time

This would be an absolutely terrible idea for an evolution in his character. I wouldn't mind much him unwillingly working for them due to Opal, but even that is very weak since their relationship on screen has also been weak and ineffective. The motivation isn't believable to the audience.
I agree with you because it would seemingly come about from nowhere with Bolin, as he's never shown even the slightest indication that he could be a bad guy.

However, with the time skip, I could see him pulling an
Aqualad becoming Black Manta
dealio.

Why would Opal
join the communist movement that usurped power and everything her family built? I'll have to see how they sell this plot. Plus Opal is an air bender now and the air benders are like global police. Would be strange for her to get involved with a movement that destroys her family and when she's not there as it forms.

Really? I'm not seeing that working at all. I would honestly hate that. Using a time skip to completely change a character even if it goes against every personality trait? That's really something you have to show the audience. Would be really lazy to make Bolin bad and say a lot could happen in 3 years. While that may be true, characters really need a deep motivation or something major happening to completely flip them upside down and change their morality. Relying on a time skip for that is awful and jarring.

This would be some Dexter level writing.

My guesses:

-the 3 year time skip is because Korra needed to heal plus goes on a journey to "find herself"
-Kuvira kicks out Suyin as leader of the metalbenders.

Also, I'm sad there's no Iroh Jr. :(
I miss you, Dante...

Iron Jr. sure became non existent. If they do a flash forward at the very end, maybe he'll make a cameo. *shrugs*

So first episode revolves around disabled Korra. Time skip will be in second episode hopefully. Hiroshi reappearance confirms Asami development. Korra recovered from her condition but looks mighty worse for wear though. :X

Hype Meter ON!!!!!!!!

Best part looks to be no cheesy romance. :D

Wow, that trailer was fantastic. I had my reservations, but I'm a sucker for
time skips.

Can't wait til this Friday.

I don't see that as changing a character but just establishing her. Like said before, we didn't really know much about her or her personality in book 3. It's honestly one of those things to me that I feel doesn't need to be fully explained unless it is something out of the blue like Bollin being pure evil or something. We know nothing of her now, so what difference would it make if we see her personality finally shine after 3 years of possibly rebuilding the earth nation? If the time jump is done correctly well see a new maturity of the characters and possibly a more morally grey storyline for each of them.

Sorry I thought you were talking about Bolin lol We were having two different conversations. It was my fault as I misread your post and was lumping it into another convo about Bolin becoming the bad guy (ie. Reverse Zuko).

Opals is fair game as we know little about her. Still I'll be curious how Opal who is with the wandering air benders gets caught up in the communist movement that destroys her family. If they do go that route I hope they sell it.

Sorry, didn't make myself clear. I actually agree with you that
she's not with Kuvira´s movement. I was implying that Kuvira usurped the Metal Clan away from the Beifongs and Opal's reaction in the trailer to that crowd was her sadness of what the Metal Clan had become, meaning, the Metal Clan transformed into Kuvira's movement.Nothing in the trailer implies she left the new Air Nomads.

Bad Bolin would make no sense in any way shape or form though, he's the puppy character of the show and (while not always effectively) the comic relief. The writers don't have the balls of making him choose a side in a war for a cause he may believe in and having to fight his former allies in the process. That would take balls.

BIG. BALLS.

Nah it's my bad. I misread two posts back to back. Need to do a better job reading more carefully while on mobile. I agree with what you just wrote. Sounds very plausible.

I'm still curious how they sell an Opal is evil plot (if they go that route).

Red Lotus philosophy of chaos and entropy= getting a huge army with robots and leaders/factions.

2+2= potato
Unalaq could backstab them, so could she. Plus we had many revolutions where the original idea got significantly corrupted in the process. Its entirely possible that she was and maybe is Red Lotus. With Zaheer gone nobody keeps reminding them of Guru Lahima for three years.

I highly doubt it as the master plan of the red lotus was stopped and she could've helped out during a critical moment.

If she's Red Lotus I will eat a whole cucumber.

And I fucking hate cucumbers

They said the plot would tie directly to the Red Lotus. I guess a separate group stepping up to takeover after Red Lotus caused chaos fulfills that claim.

So how many children do you guys think Mako and Korra have? :3

I still think he'll get back with Asami. She still wanted to be with him even after he left her. And Mako seemed okay with getting back together with her before Korra forgot they broke up and made it awkward. They are the only pairing that makes logical sense at this point in terms of set up. I think the time jump will have them get back together during those years as Korra goes off to train and find herself.

I honesty expect this. Korra isn't in a place to be dating. Only way Makorra happens is if they wait till the end of the show to do it. Which I guess is always possible.

I just really hope there's no splinter group from the red lotus.

Because a splinter group from what was effectively a splinter group would be hilarious. I mean what the fuck do they call themselves?

The Maroon Lotus?

Well last season ended with leaders saying Red Lotus were under cover in various places across the globe. I wonder what the point of that was if they have no role this season.

I could see them having a role, just not the role of once again antagonists trying to take down the Avatar for good. I'd rather it be just regular old earth nazis.

It seems as if the Metal clan and what not are trying to make "peace" because the Republic City failed and they're trying to institute world law that covers all nations. I don't think it's about conquering but making all the nations the same.

Yea I dont think metal clan is "evil" but basically are positioning themselves as the new world police. Them being part of the takedown of Zaheer probably gave them browny points.

She maybe didn't give a damn about Zaheer and friends. Maybe she thought that their way of doing things was wrong.

The Maroon Lotus?
The Redder Lotus
The Peoples Red Lotus
The Lotus of Red. Splitter!

I rather liked that trailer, I never thought I would get excited for a season of Korra, but I am glad that has changed.
