I watched one episode once like 8 years ago and I figured it was like ninja harry potter or something. The main dude can turn into lots of himself and also can become a log.

There were like 3 weird kids in high school that wore the little silver things on their heads that I learned were from this too many years later.

Also through random osmosis I've learned that Naruto is actually a giant fox or something, there is a big war, people made of stone, and that it's still going on?

Someone give me the tl;dr on this stuff because I have zero clue what the fuck is/was going on.

Did he have a crush on the pink hair gal? Did they all graduate from the ninja school? What's with the giant fox thing? Is any of it any good? Is this one of those things that has like 800 episodes and like 750 of them are shitty filler? Why do they wear the goofy shit on their heads? What's with the logs? Is it still popular?

I have like zero time to do this. I barely read or watch TV as it is.

The main character's dad was the best ninja ever, but died trying to defeat Satan Fox. To defeat Satan Fox, he had to seal Satan Fox inside his son, Naruto. This gave Naruto nearly unlimited potential power, but everyone hated him because they thought he was the devil so no one tried teaching him how to excel. The show is about finding your inner strength that people were stupid enough to hate or something.

Because when naruto was originally made he wore goggles on his head. I guess the goggles were difficult to draw on every scene in the manga, so creator made the headbands that are much easier to draw.


Story wise... it's suppose to signify what village they are from.

I dunno I was watching a giant bomb quick look on it and I realized I knew nothing about it. I could kind of explain the very basic premise of like DBZ, One Piece, or Bleach even though I never watched those. I can't do that with Naruto. I just want a gist here.

The goofy shit on their heads is useful for merchandising. Oh and I guess it symbolizes their ninja clans.

I have no opinion on the anime.

The giant fox thing is the reason the protagonist can continue to have his shonen power fantasy level ups so he can fight bigger and stronger enemies.

Naruto is above the rather low bar set for shonen manga, but the quality of the storytelling isn't where it was ten years ago.

The Giant Fox was a beast that almost destroy the village where the story takes place 16 years ago. The Hokage (person in charge of the village) sealed the Fox into a newborn baby and died.

The little kid was Naruto, because he had the beast inside him people on the village always avoided him, the beast killed his parents so he grew up alone. Because of that he seek to be acknowledge by become himself Hokage.

Can Satan Fox get out?

When Naruto is furious and really wants to kill someone, he turns into a combination of Satan Fox and himself. If he gets angry enough, he could transform fully into Satan Fox IIRC and have him take over. I don't follow it too closely anymore though. It's kind of like the Hulk except Naruto has reach a level of anger that someone would have after watching several of their best friends murdered in front of them while near the point of death.

at least then you can skip filler episodes and go at it with a faster pace

Green Guy is a Bruce lee knock of character, he can't use ninja techniques so he work his ass off and become good enough in martial arts to become a relevant ninja by cheer effort alone.

When he fought a ninja that just happened to have natural talent that controlled sand, he got wreck.
