Hmmm, the trailer does show Kuvira and her army unfolding a banner over the entrance of a village, as if conquering it. I think that, while THEY might now see themselves as conquerors, they aren't exactly giving the rest of the Earth Kingdom much of a choice by the looks of it.

And they also seem pretty earth-centric, or metal-centric.

Guys, I had let go my Earthly tether. I had entered the void. I had emptied like the best of them and I had become wind. But that trailer. That motherfucking trailer, you guys. It pulled me back in!!! I am hyped beyond belief. Let's do this! Let's freaking do this, y'all.

Meh. Screw toph. I hope its not a
vision so she can get a slap. I wonder if her plot about traveling the earth is suspect. Maybe Kuvira and co jumped her while she was on the go. Like a bigger conspiracy to get power in the city removed.

Plot might just be straight forward and be an army coup. But apart of me feels suspicious given the metal city was already infiltrated by the red lotus.

Definitiely their new suits. Makes since from a practical perspective. It's a modern outfit to take advantage of their abilities. Pretty smart. Lol I think they are kind of dorky looking though (when they are actually flying lol).
 
It won't show Toph until the very end.

The last scene will show Tonraq hanging from a random cliff completely unrelated from the rest of the plot. Some woman in a cloak will pull him up.

Tonraq - "I owe you my life"

Cloaked woman - *takes off hood* *slowly zooms in* "you can call me Toph"

*ominous music plays*

*end scene*


And that's it. No more avatar ever from that point on.

FIGHTING WORDS. LET'S DO THIS, FUCKER.

The way it's said, it doesn't seem to be that she's dead. If she is dead, she probably died long ago or just after she left. If she is part of a conspiracy and was a prisoner of some sorts I will throw shit and break shit. That is unacceptable. The Blind Bandit AKA Toph Beifong AKA Melon Lord cannot be defeated by weaklings like Kuvira. She's a master earth, metal, and sand bender. Probably can lava bend too 'cause fuck it why not she's already a Mary Stu.

Best Bender is making a return. I am so not prepared.

Lol I can agree. But this show isn't consistent with people being bested by others despite being really strong. But i agree toph was OP as hell. Would be pretty unbelievable.

I doubt toph will come back in a big way. Will be like Zuko cameo. I see her playing a mentor role vs full on returning and destroying everyone.

Toph had her bending taken away by Amon and she couldn't get out of her earth tent.

Starved to death.
 
Over the course of the past 3 weeks, I've watched the entirety of The Last Airebender and Legend of Korra for the first time, and man, what a binge watch it has been. Wish I had discovered these series earlier before the animated universe comes to an indefinite end.

Looking forward to watching Book 4 every week with GAF.

Another big question after the trailer...

Where are Pabu and Naga?
Absolutely no sign of them after three years :S

And for those of you wondering: that scene with
Zuko, the Fire Lord, the Raiko and Tenzin seated togethe
r takes place after those three years,
judging by Tenzin's use of the new air suit.
 
Well it doesn't look like the season is gonna start off with the time skip. There is a decent amount of footage in that trailer pre and post timeskip.
 
Just caught up with the 3rd season, man that was intense. Using air-bending for suffocation, probably the darkest this series has ever gone.

And I know this is what they were going for, but Jinora really did look just like Aang when she got her tattoos.

Excellent season, hope the upcoming one can be just as good if not better.
 
I just watched the season finale again. That music at the end when Jinora takes off her hood gives me so many feels. What's the name of the track.
