Destiny |OT5| New patch out Tues., Master Rahool reportedly crying into his robes

Alright. I'm doing this fucking weekly Strike, and I'm doing it now. It's almost 3 am here and I'm frustrated but I need those 3 coins before I go to sleep. I need 2 of the badassest guardians to help me, I'm only trying to do it on the lvl 22 difficulty (I'm lvl 24 hunter).

Help me GAF, you're my only hope.

Yeah, I'm okay with there still being a chance it's for the wrong class. What was so frustrating before was just how many layers of potential backfires you had to go through. Even if you got beyond the actual degrade y/n check (which certainly seems heavily stacked against you) it could still then just be materials or an item for a class you might not care to pick, which again is stacked against you. Just crazy to me that they launched with that originally since it seems so obvious it creates a bad feedback loop for the player.

They did it because there simply isn't enough high level gear in the game to support direct conversion, everyone will start to see this next week after the patch and the excitement of having a fully loaded purple character has worn off.

Why don't you put yours down and let me kill you 25 times so I can go back to doing things I enjoy in this game

Or better yet why don't you kill yourself

This isn't the youtube comment section. Calm down.

I wasn't happy that they wanted me to go into the Crucible as well. Know what I did? I deleted the bounty. I'll just rely on RNG or Xur to get me what I want in that case.

So ignore it. I was playing, then afking PvP due to the frustration and decided to post. It started about an issue, auto balance/team balance and then moved into a discussion about why I was pushed to even pursue PvP in the first place. Whats the problem?

Why? Just quit if you can't stand it. You're being a hindrance to your team who are actually putting some effort in.

I think another problem with Destiny is once you hit level 20 it's confusing as fuck. I know I need some light and I've managed to get 17 light...but then played for a few hours and still have that same amount. How in the hell do I get more light to get to 21 if the Engrams aren't giving up any better items?

Honestly I don't even personally care since I'll figure it out eventually, but for many people this has to be a deal breaker. I could see it being really annoying to the point you'd just not be having any fun any longer and quit.

Same deal with Queens Wrath. I see some weapons I can't get, and there's some bounties...one of them is telling me to headshot 15 Guardians. Sooo is this crucible (pvp) only I guess? And what if I don't ever want to play a crucible match? Tough?

I may be so confused because I'm only a little ways into Venus and haven't been to Mars, but christ they really should just simplify this shit like it was for levels 1-20. Why change it and complicate it so much at that point? Makes no sense to me.

It's a cluster fuck dude. I was told i could reach high levels by just Crucible but that's not true since i need stupid materials like Spirit BLoom (some ridiculous green orb i have to find in bushes on venus) to upgrade some of my stuff now.

I picture a mass exodus from this game come fall.

Yep, giving players rewards for playing both pvp AND pve truly is shit game design in a game with both pvp and pve. Mmhmm.

(There are things that make sense to complain about, and then there are your posts.)

It really is poor design to make the majority of the factions HEAVILY favor PvP only players vs PvE only, since they get to pick and choose what gear stats/weapons to chase. Even exotic bounties frequently pit you into the crucible when some people really just don't want the two sections to intersect. I definitely can understand his frustration with something like that.

Good call, you know it would be pretty cool if they had mats in PvP. Would be pure chaos seeing people snagging mats.

Afaik it's unconfirmed whether or not bounty weapons can be obtained through engrams or Xur.
Not actually trying to be a smart-ass here, but it seems clear that if the weapon is only obtainable through PvP than that's a PvP exclusive weapon. Wheres the twist?

The hunt for those materials is what I have a problem with since there isn't a fun or challenging way to get them. They should drop in quantity from mission and strike bosses as well as crucible matches. Its the one part of the game that seems like pure boredom by design, with the additional drawback of high level players laying waste to areas tuned for lower level players.

All you have to do usa get higher than a 1/1 kdr by one kill in 25 games, or get more kills over 1/1 in less games. It's really not hard at all. Be a cheap shottybro like me and crouch near objectives. You'll be done in 5 games, tops.

Assists counts as kills for the bounty so you don't even need a positive K/D ratio.

Completed my Exotic Bounty very late last night, huzzah!

Only had 13 coins so I soloed the weekly heroic on 28, got my 9 coins, got another one from a blue engram I got there, and then bought the Suros regime in one fell swoop. Feels good man.

Now I just need lots of ascendant shit.

Nod, and I'll admit I'm being an ass cause I'm extremely frustrated. I really enjoy the hell out of the PvE aspect of the game but they need to get their crap together. What kills me is people actually trying to say that the game is evenly remotely balanced in terms of reward. From my recollection the game was marketed as a PvE game, I expected basically the opposite of Titanfall. If I wanted to play PvP/Deathmatch I would be playing BF/CoD, etc. that isn't what I wanted.

I wouldn't have any issues at all if the rewards were fairly split, they aren't...hell it isn't even close. I'm hopeful that it will change, cause pushing PvE people into PvP isn't fun for either camp. I saw this first hand countless times in WoW with the Cloak quest, it is 100% bad design.

With that said, I know my attitude on it is also pure shit. I know how pissed I get when I do a random strike only to have someone AFK right off the start and never do anything. You know one of the differences though? I get booted out of PvP, not so for PvE, that kid gets to sit there the entire time. Regardless, I'll be in a better mood about it next week, just extremely frustrated right now.

Aren't the Spirit Blooms only used for damage upgrades on the weapon? Those are all normalized out anyway so you don't need them for PvP.

They're the second most viable primary, imo. I have plenty of success with them, but I still generally use ARs.
Yeah, on larger maps pulse rifles can destroy enemies from afar. After the incoming AR nerf they will be even more viable, next to scout rifles.

eh, pvp is mostly a crap shoot. i've played 200+ matches (iirc) and the best thing i've gotten was an exotic hand cannon, otherwise nothing else of worth. at least nightfall gives you a pretty good chance of an exotic and guaranteed legendary, not to mention that the raid has the best gear as well as exclusive weapons

Well then, if that is the case then there is no reason to have 4 vendors tied to PvP vs the 1 for PvE is there?

Got Bad Juju. It really is kind of aggravating to use. Sometimes when holding the trigger for the full auto it'll just... stop firing with ammo still in the clip. Also, the glowing shit needs to be toned down. Really obscures your vision.

That said I got another exotic bounty. Choice was the shotgun (which I don't like to use) and the Hand Cannon and... Bad Juju again? Lol? Took the Hand Cannon. On the void damage part. Really sucks being a class without a Void Super (Hunter).

In the Exotic Bounty for Incentive, what does a K/D of 25 mean? Like 2.5 K/D ratio or like...25 kills to zero deaths lol.

Hey anyone got a recommendation on which legendary scout rifle to buy with crucible marks? I can buy either one of the crucible ones or one of the future war cult ones...

I've been running a Neraka rare one the whole game until now because drops hate me. But I'm not sure which one would closest approximate that. I hate recoil but I also want to maximize my raid dps when I'm using scout rifle.

25 kills to 1 death. Assists count as kills too. Doesn't have to all be in the same game.

I THINK that is how it is.

With that said, they are still gonna be OP. Thanks, Xur.

And dmg.

Why do you care? You don't like PvP. The only place nerfs/buffs really have a dramatic effect on gameplay.

I'm sure those Hive/Fallen/Vex/Cabal really complain about your auto rifle range.

Depends on the pulse rifle, in either case Hand Cannons are the second most viable simply because they actually kill faster than AR's if you have perfect aim. Pulse rifles don't really fill that niche, they work the same way AR's do and don't do better at it. They're viable, more so than Scout rifles anyway.

There's not a whole lot of reason to utilize more than one PVP vendor though unless you want a second set of gear for stat reasons or something.

Multiple games? How many exactly? I honestly don't get the description. XD

Weird bounty.

Just kill people and don't get killed as much and you'll have it soon enough.

it makes sense since they're all opposing factions with differing ideologies as to how future should be handled. again, you're just looking at it from a faction point of view, which doesn't take into account the multiple other avenues of getting items from pve content
