Next week all held pruples become blues so you might as well use any purples up unless you just want blues.

How many missions did it take for you to get it? And is there actual fact behind all held purples becoming blue come next patch? I have one in my vault waiting for the patch..
 
I wouldn't have had a purple until after I leveled him though

Guess this bodes well for my level 8 titan though when his cryptarch starts leveling

The 1.0.2 patch will go live next week, and includes several changes to the Cryptarch and Engram experience. These changes guarantee that Engrams will always decode into items at or above the quality of an engram.

Only Engrams that drop after 1.0.2 are subject to this change.

Cryptarch Changes 
Cayde-6 took the Cryptarch aside and showed him a sack of doorknobs. He decoded that mystery pretty quickly.
Legendary Engrams will always produce Legendary or better quality items, including Materials or Exotics
Rare Engrams will always produce Rare or better quality items
Rare engrams will have an increased chance to produce Legendary quality items

Activity Changes
Daily Heroics, Weekly Heroics, and Vanguard: Tiger Playlist activities will include Rare and Legendary Engrams in addition to their existing rewards

Item Changes
Ascendant materials have been promoted to Legendary to closer associate them with the gear they are used to upgrade
Legendary Engram items that exist in your inventory will be demoted to Rare quality when the patch goes live, so decode them while you can. But let’s be honest--even if you don’t, we all know they were blues already...

Ah I see. So my purple engram could still end up being a legendary even after the patch..

Anyone high level willing to help me with the weekly strike at level 28 on One?
I'm only at level 26 and i'm not gonna do much, but i desperately need those 3 strange coins to buy the Suros... :/

It's been close to two weeks since I've encountered an Ascended Energy without dismantling a legendary. Early in the game, before I even knew what they were, I had somehow collected five.
 
Ok I just looked at Xur's inventory for the first time in weeks.... I need coins and motes STAT.

I'm one coin short of the helmet but the gun is so amazing...

And something like 4 motes short for the engram...ugh

For some reason I acquired 4 Ascendant Energy last night and was just playing normally. Got some from chests on Venus and Public Events.

Before last night I hadn't gotten one in about a week.
 
I love Bungie's sense of humor, I really do. Blizzard was never this funny:

I've been pretty lucky with Exotic bounties. I've completed 4, and am working on my 5th for Invective. They take awhile, especially the one for Bad Juju (for me), but I want to collect all the Exotic weapons. I don't know what it is, but I try to do as many bounties that I can.

Here's what I have =}P

Exotic Bounties (in order that I got them):
Pocket Infinity (FR)
Super Good Advice (MG)
Thorn (HC)
Bad Juju (PR)
(working on Invective shotgun now)

Exotics from the Vault of Glass Raid (I've only completed it once):
Patience and Time (Sniper)
Ice Breaker (Sniper)

And then I have for Exotic Armour:
Apotheosis Veil (from Xur Engram)
Sunbreakers (from Xur)
Voidfang Vestments (Xur Engram)

So far no luck on Exotic Pants. :(

I also want to know if it is possible to upgrade my Sparrow to Exotic...

Purps becoming Blue was at the end I think of the notes for the upcoming update.

Dunno how many it took me to get the Sniper. Under 10 missions for sure. I think it took me 5 or 6. I did them all on Earth too.

Lucky. I chest run on Venus all the time and haven't seen any. Maybe doing more Public Events away from Earth will do the trick. I usually just do them there since they're relatively regular and really easy.

Last night I decrypted 3 legendary engrams I had been saving in my vault. I got a legendary chest, legendary cloak, and 3 Ascendant shards. I can use all of these.
 
Am I missing a way to see how many dead ghosts have been found per planet? It seems weird that they would have a 0/5 counter for golden chests but not ghosts
 
Looks like I have to get suros for raiding purposes. Since my current legendary items are not too upgradred, ill just have to play all week to get the remaining 16 coins for nxt week.

Xur might not be selling Suros Regime next week, since his wares change every week. Unless RNG puts it back in his list again, like with the Sunbreaker gauntlets.
 
I wasn't really enjoying The Conduit I received but I decided to start using it in Strikes and it's 80% upgraded now and its really good.

I hope to receive a Legendary scout rifle soon. Still loving the one I have with explosive rounds but it would be good to get one with more attack.

Nah, they took WoW too seriously. I spent hours and hours on their forums. They were always very smug about any changes to the game. Like they always knew what was best for the game and you should thank them for being able to play it.
