So I'm about to hit 20 and still have 2 missions left on Venus, I have been doing everything on hard, is there any point to continue doing that once I hit 20?

assuming you mean outside the direct challenge,

you still have more abilities to unlock, especially on the "other" subclass, and weapons/armor need xp too.

I mostly use my Suros now anyway. I have a LIGHT/BEWARE legendary fusion rifle, but I'd like to give the Pocket Infinity a go. :p I already had a fully upgraded Shadow Price when I bought the Suros anyway., so I can switch up whenever.
 
Got another legendary today... Decoded it only to find it was not for my class lol

Alright thanks, I wasn't sure if there was some funky xp mess after 20 with regards to skills/weapons.

Got my invective yesterday, but don't have a slot to upgrade it lol. I always have my Suros equipped when accepting bounties, and it won't let me equip another Exotic weapon...
 
The queens missions, does the item you get at the end depend on the mission you do?

I've gotten the chest piece 3 times, but it was from the same mission.. if I do another mission will I get a different piece?

You get a Mote of Light every time you level up now, so the extra XP will still be good if you think you'll spend them.

Yea, I'd like to know this too. Bought one Special Ammo one to use on my Invective, to consume just before accepting a big lot of bounties. But let us know how you get on lol.
 
Any tips on the "Void damage to defeat guardians" bounty for the Thorn? Do you have to just have void weapons equipped? Does it need to land the killing blow? I do a lot of kills but my K/D ratio is close to 1 so this will take forever. :(

Need to get kills with a weapon that has void damage. A kill grants 5 points and a death takes away 2 points.

I ran with a fusion rifle and machine gun got it in less than 10 games. But I'm fairly good at PvP.

That's not "what you get for rank 5." you just get a random reward every rank up, usually a legendary or one of the endgame currencies. i think it's tough to describe as not worth the effort since you can't really not advance in reputation over time. if you mean you did like 100 patrols just to hit rank 5 then you are certainly correct it wasn't worth that :P

You can use a void shotgun, fusion rifle, and machine gun. If you're a warlock, Nova Bimb and nova grenades also count. And yes, you have to get the kill; assists don't count. Also, a kill is +5 and a death is -2; the bounty isn't 500 kills but rather points.

I completed it playing rumble and using a void shotgun.

You need to actually kill people with it. I luckily had a void fusion rifle and rocket launcher. Was tough, put a lot of pressure on me not to fuck up since I couldn't use my primary. I found Rumble to be the best mode for it.

That explains why when I play past around 12am it feels like I'm playing in mud. I guess at this point I'm mostly being set up with players in further areas of the world.

If I play before 12am my k/d is between 2-6
If I play after 12am it's .5-2, almost every kill leaves the enemy alive for a good 5 seconds so they return the favour before they die.

Seems to be almost perfect during the day though. Still a few wtf moments, but in general it seems solid enough.

As for matchmaking, is there any kind of system that pits you against players of equal skill? A couple of times it's felt like my opponents got better as I won more, but that may have been coincidence.
 
any lvl 29's and 30's with fully upgradable 300 atk weapons want to give the raid a go on hard mode? one of the unknown rewards is a fully charged primary exotic fusion rifle.

I actually have 29 strange coins, I was hoping to save for last word but then with my shitty luck and after 90 hrs playing. .. I fucking deserved a exotic primary weapon and auto rifle is my most used weapon. So in the logic won me over

We had someone yesterday that was trying to set one up for around this time today. I'm not sure how many people said they'd go.
 
25 Strikes for Bad Juju is next. Though I may just wait until the next update where the Vanguard Tiger playlist will be much more worthwhile.

All of the guardians were super jelly of our brave heroes. But one of them, named Steamtrain or some shit this author can't remember, was so fucking peanut butter and jelly he decided to try and fuck up the picture by turning on the fan. Little did he know he only made it better because then the gang could take a picture like one of those 80s sitcom endings where they all jump in midair to celebrate



After the very long party of one like 3 minutes of strenuous sweaty dancing to honor the memory of Kevin Bacon, they sat down and stared longingly into each others' eyes



"Was that shit dope or what?" asked one of the bros

"Indeed it was broseph" responded another.

After looking at the time, they all decided to call it a night, with promises to one day repeat this. Not all of them got the raid exclusive gear you can get from the chests. Heck some of them only got shards and energy. As two of the bros kept rubbing it in Woofington's face all throughout the raid that they had Heart of the Praxic Fire and didn't even care for it, Woofington raged but ultimately he smiled because he...

Man, this game is just the ultimate "chill out and kill shit" game. I was doing the Tiger Strike playlist this morning with my daughter watching while we listened to a scary story podcast and we were having a great time.

I freaking love my Omni-tool.
 
bungie didnt mention this, but i wonder if along with the engram change (purples giving purples or better) if they will also change the liklihood of purple dropping... i'm not sure the intent of bungie's change was to make purples much more available, which is what will happen after this update, but rather to alleviate frustration from getting a worse item after decryption then expected. if this is indeed their goal, then they may play with lowering the probability of a purple (or blue) engram dropping.
