Level 26 here and haven't seen an exotic yet. I've only seen 3 legendaries total.

RNGesus is trying to tell me something...

Level 26 Titan and I see lots of legendaries but never an exotic. No PVP, just did my first strike and rarely team up with people.

That's what everyone says, problem is that I'm a Hunter. In general though I'm getting tired of them trying to force PvP stuff on you in a game where I only care about the PvE. It's easy enough to ignore pain in the ass Crucible bounties if you don't want to do them (fusion rifle/shotgun sprees etc), but then you get saddled with teammates who are performing very sub-optimally because they're trying to get them so that sucks shit. And in the case of the exotic bounties I think they all force you do to do PvP, although this is the only particularly hard/annoying one. And I don't like that they're going to nerf Auto Rifles and Shotguns since I don't give a shit about how it's balanced for PvP, but you're punishing me in PvE for it. They need to have this shit separated.

I totally agree with you, but to take some of the sting out of it, I've heard that you can get a pretty awesome void primary from the Raid. So I really think they are trying to give higher level PvE players a way to gain the edge on those type of bounties. If you aren't a higher level player, then you should choose an easier Exotic bounty like the one for Super Good Advice.

Level 26 myself. Only gotten 2 Legendaries, both from blue engrams, though I've gotten like 5 or 6 legendary engrams. I had to buy my exotic from Xur.

Bullshit. Sony should have two lanes... paid, and pleb.

Also, out of 3 legendary engrams, one has given me legendary gear. That was an awesome feeling!

welp, I'm just level 21 with not a single legendary/exotic piece of equipment, what's the best way to farm them? I have to buy them or I can try my luck somewhere?

I wanted to get some strange coins for the gear that Xur has but doing heroic strikes with my current equip will be hard, I think. also no matchamking, lol.

This is the issue with having PVP in this game. It hurts the PVE end of the game because exotic weapons can't be too powerful since you can take everything into PVP.


Edit: this is a clear example of a weapon being too powerful for PVP. They'll probably nerf the weapon soon

To get anything in this game, you have to grind like hell. I just completed most of the vanguard bounties to get rank 1 in my faction. Now the only way left to gain reputation is by doing the vanguard tiger over and over...for a measly 25 rep each time. WTF.

the charge time is low but i've got rare fusion rifles that can one shot from that distance reliably

destiny gives people so many fucking options but no - face check flaming hallways illuminated by the dead ghosts of your allies is plan A for too many people

any number of weapons could've styled on them. you want to be mad? check how the invective shoots faster than most scout rifles and has universal remote range

yes but you don't pull instakills with every super or every weapon, which is the main point of why the pvp isn't balanced at all.

OMG!! man this also happened to me yesterday. I came from work all excited to buy the weapon and the engram from Xur.

I bought the engram first, and after I went to the inventory I highlighted it closed my eyes while muttering (please let it be for hunter, please let it be for hunter) while holding the square button.......

When i came to my senses, I couldn't believe what I have done, and proceeded to pre order Shadows of Mordor

You can use those to complete kill orders and receive loot, you get one per bounty turn in. Without them even if you join someone elses kill order you don't get loot.

You use them to start the queen's missions and also to get the legendaries at the end of each queen's mission.

You can farm chests as well and sell materials such as spinmetal for vanguard reps and marks. Public events will also give them to you. And yes it's very Grindy especially since you seem to be in a hurry

You randomly get them after turning in completed bounties. Only thing you can do is make sure to complete as many bounties as possible and hope to get lucky.

No, all three of those do. The other two ones are pretty easy though (the 25 kill/death spread and 10000 points in the Crucible).

i'm absolutely going to blame the players for being idiots (at least the warlock upped his shield and nearly got the kill) right there. its not halo - you're not going to have a shootout decided by skill in every encounter. its not CoD - you're not going to be in a twitch shootout in every encounter. evolve with the game, if you're face checking dark alley ways when you absolutely do not have to then you're gonna get plastered more times than not. fusion rifles generally take more skill to use than the other special weapons (charge time, leading targets, managing and throwing the spray, etc) so i'm a bit more forgiving

but that right there? by all means. say that dumb players weren't being dumb for the sake of an argument. i'm not even saying the weapon isn't stronk. in this situation - the players were dumber than the weapon being overpowered though.

Do the packs sit in inventory until you activate them? Should have turned it on right before completing a high xp mission and then gone to turn in bounties, then completed a quick strike.
