My roommate was playing on my account and was invited by a fellow GAFfer to try the Level 26 Weekly.
He apparently messed up when they were close to killing Nexus. Having no mics, the other two sides expressed their frustration by meleeing and grenading him after respawn
Interesting how, lacking voice, people still find a way to communicate.

What's the best way to farm glimmer post-patch? Is it still to do a chest run? Each chest only gives like 50 glimmer.

I got a legendary ship today to replace my other legendary ship... It looks awesome... a weaponized version of a rare ship. Still fucking brown tho.

its still pretty significant
use a glimmer consumable applicable to the area and you'll still rack up money at a huge rate. with the increased public events... its kinda works in a weird way

Not sure if you this has been posted but if your're having trouble adding friends on PS4 so you can group you can start a party chat and send the person you want to play with an invite to the chat. It's a little slow when you search for a person but so far has been working. When they join they can select your name, hit options, then click join session. Just make sure in game under roster in the options menu you set your invites to public. I just got the Thorn bounty done like this.
Night time is way better for chests! They all have lights on them that make them really stand out in the dark.

First time I'm playing with strangers in a Party and already getting comments about my ingame boobs and players in my team using gestures to "touch" my character's breasts.

Depends on the group. Could be completed in about 2 hours if everyone knows what they're doing.
If you and your group know what you're doing, not very long, 2 hours tops, but if it's your groups first time through it, you'll be there awhile lol

Just hit 20 on my hunter. What rep should I grind out first?
Largely depends on the team, gear, and experience.
First time through and everyone is going in blind? It can take 10 hours.
An experienced team that's well geared? Under an hour easily.

Yeah, yesterday we just kept dying at the final boss. Today? Finished the bastard within 20 minutes, only got whiped twice.
Both. Hit 20 and you will start to get items with some Light on them. Enough to get to 24 at least but getting the higher gear will have more light.
There's a very good guide that's linked in the OP.
Short answer - From 20-24 you'll rely on blues that are random drops. After that it's purple and exotics which are purchased with marks, or random drops.
From 20-24 you'll be fine by just relying on drops. 24-26 however its best to buy them from the Tower to avoid frustration with rng.

Yo! They mentioned they were going to augment the Bad Juju Pulse Rifle and Thorn Hand Cannon exotics to strengthen them based on fan complaints.

Part of it is that you don't always have the right element of a secondary weapon. That's the case with me sometimes, especially when first hitting 20.
To be fair, Bungie did a poor job by never really explaining it. They just throw elemental weapons at you and don't give you any sort of tutorial. And you don't really need to pull out specific elemental weapons to get shields down until you get to the end game content (Nightfall, Heroics, Raids, etc.) because you can blaze through them with whatever you've got.

That's probably a bad group of people. I am a straight guy playing with a female avatar and that has never happened to me.
It only matters when modifiers boost shields and the game never explains anything. Not really surprised by that.
I have an incredibly tasty slice of beef here, a blue duck that squeaks when you bite it, and a chicken flavoured chewy bone.
I'll trade you all three for that hand cannon.
I'll throw in all the exotics and legendaries I own, too.

Good point. Though I do keep one type of each element as a special weapon. Sure switching weapons makes you lose 50% of the ammo, but at least you can find some dropped by enemies.

Yeah, I really wish there was a way, but sadly they only definite way to get Strange Coins is in the Weekly Strikes.
I got mine for a reward from beating Nightfall this past week, so it's possible to get it from that and probably Crucible too

You get a Mote of Light for every level gained after 20. Other than that, just blue and purple engrams. Yesterday I got 3 strange coins and 3 motes of light so it's possible to get it within a day.
