Looks like some of my friend request went through last night, but I still can't accept any...I really wanted to run the raid this weekend.

I enjoy them, especially when modifiers are included. There are some seriously challenging activities in this game.

I dig patrols because they are rewards that you can earn in seconds, I dig the immediate gratification element combined with the relaxing atmosphere. Public events spawning are icing on the cake.

Yup, I will be inviting you, Daraman, namikaze1, and now StrykerIsland to the hard mode Raid. That's 5 of us now, just need 1 more.

Farming 16 filaments for upgrades take a lot longer than seconds. It's probably worse for relic iron.

Also, I've been following some advice around here for Spinmetal farming and I can't figure out a good route like for all other materials.

Patrols aren't farming.

As for farming, there are paths you can follow that definitely collect that many resources in a short period of time. Relic Iron is the easiest of them all.

It's the only thing the Patrol is worth for me.

Loot chests and resources change locations. The route videos won't always sync with the game you're in.
 
Many more patches incoming from Bungie. I'm thinking that this release is just too big for them not to go the Diablo 3 way and actually make the game good.

I paid only $40 for the game so I'm just going to hold on to it knowing they have 2 years to make it a better game and I will actually play it.

I'm not going to buy the expansions though.

The Rocketyard route runs one complete circle and will net you at least 3 spinmetals per round, which takes aless than 5 min. There's one even more efficient for Iron Relics and Helium.

Would be both funny and sad if they locked some gameplay improvements behind the expansions, Civilization V-style.

More like 7+ easily

If you do the elongated loop, which adds 1 minute, you still come out with roughly 7+ Spins every 5 minutes, guaranteed
So many green armor pops from the chests, it's laughable, sooner or later you do get the 1-2 Legendary Engram punch, but very rare
 
Looking for a raid. Only got the last boss left but im willing to start from the beginning. Only looking for groups level 28+ though.

If you run the raid more than once a week can you still get loot drops from the chests or is all the chances at loot gone until weekly reset?

one chest per character per difficulty. once you grab a loot chest, you can't earn loot on that character from the same chest for that week unless you open it on the hard difficulty. you can get loot from the 3 raid chests on all 3 of your characters on normal mode and then again on hard mode each week. so if you have 3 raid ready characters, that's 18 drops per week, not including the drops between boss rounds, which i believe are also tied to the weekly character/difficulty reset
 
Have they nerfed glimmer now? Even with the boosts you use its taking fucking ages to get.

If they haven't does anyone know of good spots for glimmer, I really need to get some to upgrade the final parts of my armour.
 
how are you guys diving your ranks?,

I'm currently moving them all over the place, and I don't think its a good idea in the long run, I'm level 3 dead orbit, nearing level 2 for crucible ranks and nearing level 2 for FWC

should i just choose one and go full force with that, and hope new guns/ armor come out with a higher rank in the future?
 
Does anyone know if unopened Cryptarch rewards (still with the Postmaster) will be nerfed come the patch?

I assume the contents are decided only when you open them? so the game shouldn't count any potential Legendary engrams as already existing and downgrade them to rare?

After dropping in do a 180 and hide behind either the concrete slab at the arena edge or up behind the boulders, if you use the boulders keep an eye on your left flank now and again. Both vantage points allow line of sight to the boss with ways to easily avoid incoming damage.
 
Guys, how can I earn Strange Coins, besides in weekly heroic strike? The thing is that I don't feel like spending several hours arranging fireteam with people on my friends list just so I can play a fucking 30 minute strike. Why Bungie failed to allow matchmaking for that mode is beyond me.
