My Shadow Price has an upgrade for maximum stability and almost max rate of fire. Not sure how many versions of the gun are available. Mine was a drop. Reload speed is fairly close to max too.

Yeah dropped versions can have random mods on them, meant mostly the vendor one which is always the same

You guys think the problem with the Loot is unlike borderlands or diablo 3, their engine requires a very exact realistic looking model of the weapon and this the art team is strained to keep creation new loot? I just don't understand how they can't have at least more cool / unique looking loot that adds some cool effects to your char and how they look.

They do have that kinda stuff,it just comes from the raid/exotic bounties.

Do you inspect new gear when you acquire it? You can clearly see the defense rating goes higher than any legendary you've seen so far. The defense max on raid gear equals that of exotics in each category.

Not really sure I agree it's the game's fault for not telling you it's unique when the stat is right in your face

yeah, it was my fault, should have kept it :/

Just go around the area where you spawn in through patrol on the Moon. It's the easiest material to farm from what I've experienced.

Spinmetal is ridiculously easy to farm. I think I've said to friends I know where every chest is in the Divide.

I've said it three different times since I keep finding new places they've hidden the damn things. The nice thing is there always seem to be two chests "active" in the Divide and the Divide is tiny compared to the Rocketyard.

It's far superior to the Rocketyard, imo.

Damn so the Shadow Price is better than the Doctor Nope? I finally got to vanguard 3 yesterday and bought the Nope over the Shadow price because it had a stability upgrade and the radar perk. Guess I need to grind out another 150 vanguard marks...

If anything, I think the best Shadow Price guns are the ones you can get as a drop.

Check out how many talents are possbile. This gun can get ridiculous if you get lucky. I dunno how Destiny DB works, but getting a Shadow Price with Half Glass Full + Perfect Balance + faster reloads is damn hilarious.

I love how so many people have been destroying raid gear. Raid gear is best gear. Silly gooses.

So I just checked Expansion Pass price and it is $34.99 on US store and £34.99 on UK one?

Are they having a fucking laugh? $1 = £1 now?

Not paying that.

Got a legendary hand cannon from a (blue!) engram at the weekend.

Nothing special but it is purple as hell so I'm enjoying it

Hi, guys.

I really want to beat my first Nightfall strike this evening on Xbox one. I have a lvl 27 Titan. If you are lvl 27 or above, please let me know if you can help. My team died last night at Nexus and we hella cried.

I will be around. Level 28 Hunter. I haven't finished it yet either.
Gamertag is Truelize

I have a fully upgraded Thorn and had 1000+ damage crits on level 24 Cabal Legionnaires last night. Before I did the final damage upgrade I don't remember it going past triple digits.

Thanks for the feedback! I'd hope that there were great reasons to fully upgrade a weapo. Having there be no difference between 267 and 300 would make no sense.

I could test this myself this week. I have plenty of Energy to fully upgrade my Suros once it's leveled up so I could post my testing. Not sure what the best method of doing it is.

Any suggestions? Versus enemies below and same level and higher is obvious.

Defense upgrades = light.
It can therefore be inferred that higher defense = higher light given the same slot (boots) is being filled.

You can't get to 30 unless you have all raid gear or 3 raid gear and 1 exotic.

I don't know why they didn't put a +light value on each of the armor upgrades to make things more clear. I knew about the raid gear before I got a piece and avoided spending any shards on the armor I got from vendors, but they probably could have added something about total light value to make things more clear.

Anyone have a recommendation for what legendary weapon to get from the Vanguard vendor? Does anything really stand out from the other ones?

Damn, dropped Shadow Price's are amazing, you guys got lucky. I'd love to get a drop like that.

My first Shadow Price has the "grows more accurate as it's fired" and radar stays visible while ADS perks. My second has the glass half full and damage buff for reloading after a kill. They both have the agility perk which I love, but neither have a scope that I particularly like. (though, both have a serviceable option) At this point, I don't think the Suros will be supplanting them.

I was thinking about getting a "stock" one from the vendor. Thoughts?

I just found out that Raid Gear gives more light than Legendary, WHAT? I destroyed the boots I got to farm the ass shards and upgrade my current gear.

WHY DIDN'T THEY TELL US THE GEAR WAS UNIQUE?

FUCK!
Its been known for awhile that it's the only way to get to lvl 30. I mean raid gear is usually unique in games. Would seem kinda obvious to me.

There need to be shaders for weapons or transmog for them, FWC colors are atrocious. Have The Chance and it looks terrible on any shader I use. /fashionDestiny

No really...Hunters are rather weak and their specials aren't that great in the broad spectrum. I am a hunter and can't say the amount of times I've killed blade dancers trying to kill me. Hunters being OP is just a popular mantra that's repeated without merit.

For people who don't have any immediate plan to do the Raid on Hard mode yet are Level 28, there is no reason to fully upgrade weapons to 300 Attack, correct?

Me at 28 versus an enemy at 28, I will deal the same damage to him if my weapon is at 300 Attack compared to 267 Attack, correct?

Only the higher Attack matters if I am going up against Level 29 enemies and above.

This is a myth. When i was farming treasure chests i was doind 282 yellow damage to regular Legionary in the area. I got a damage upgrade while farming, suddenly doing 320 yellow damage to them. These are enemies 8 or 9 levels below me.

Yes, PS4! That would be awesome. I never thought I'd be viable for the Nightfall so soon after making my alt but it was good that I already had an exotic and legendary boots vaulted.

Is around 7 PM Eastern good for you still? I don't get home from work until then.

Dhruv if you can/want to wait until later you can join me, but if not and you have the opportunity to do it sooner then by all means don't wait for me. I could be your Plan B, haha.

I'm kind of dumb, but that's 6 central right? That time is perfectly fine. Accepted your friend request and looking forward completing that dang mission lol.

Shaders for ships would be nice as well. We
Can change colors for armor at will but not for anything else is silly.

The Doctor Nope is a lot of fun and sounds great when you let loose a long burst, but it's far too wild, even with the baseline models stability upgrade. I don't have the Shadow Price, but given its apparent similarity to the Vanquisher, yes, I'd say SP is better.

Yeah dropped versions can have random mods on them, meant mostly the vendor one which is always the same

Something to note, when you get rewards for hitting the subsequent levels after 2 for a vendor? Those items you receive also get random abilities / perks. They're not necessarily the baseline variants.

I got New Monarchy boots that were INT / DISC when their baseline models are not that....

Do it against a boss.

If you are doing it against regular enemies then make sure they are the same level, higher level enemies take more damage. Also make sure its at the same range otherwise its possible that the values will be skewed by damage drop off at long range.

But really if you mouse over the attack value in the weapon description it clearly states that it just lets you do more damage against higher level enemies and that's it.

I'd make videos of the following.

1) you shooting an enemy lower leveled than you without the upgrade

2) you shooting the same enemy at the same level as you without the upgrade.

3) you shooting the same enemy lower leveled with the upgrade

4) you shooting the same enemy at the same level as you with the upgrade.

Ideally, you'd find an enemy higher leveled than you to test this out. However, this might only be possible with you picking a Vex Goblin to shoot at and jumping into the heroic raid to test shooting at Goblins higher leveled than you.

I wouldn't save them, the patch notes say all blue engrams in your inventory will automatically become green engrams. I would roll them now for better odds.

This is false.

Bungie said:
The 1.0.2 patch will go live next week, and includes several changes to the Cryptarch and Engram experience. These changes guarantee that Engrams will always decode into items at or above the quality of an engram.

Only Engrams that drop after 1.0.2 are subject to this change.

Cryptarch Changes
Cayde-6 took the Cryptarch aside and showed him a sack of doorknobs. He decoded that mystery pretty quickly.
Legendary Engrams will always produce Legendary or better quality items, including Materials or Exotics
Rare Engrams will always produce Rare or better quality items
Rare engrams will have an increased chance to produce Legendary quality items

Activity Changes
Daily Heroics, Weekly Heroics, and Vanguard: Tiger Playlist activities will include Rare and Legendary Engrams in addition to their existing rewards

Item Changes
Ascendant materials have been promoted to Legendary to closer associate them with the gear they are used to upgrade
Legendary Engram items that exist in your inventory will be demoted to Rare quality when the patch goes live, so decode them while you can. But let’s be honest--even if you don’t, we all know they were blues already...

Any blue engrams found after the patch will always be blue or better now. Blue engrams you have now may still become green, but can still roll blue or purple if you decrypt them now or after the patch.

Gotten error code "olive" a couple of times today and gotten sent back to orbit. Went to help.bungie.net and didn't even see that error listed... Anyone else had that issue?

Should I buy Shadow Price or Grim Citizen III? Don't have time to wait for a drop. Either gun would be my backup when I want to use an exotic other than Suros Regime.

I don't think the hunter's abilities are that overpowered at all. As a hunter, I find myself getting titan smashed far more than anything ekse.

If you're a Sunsinger you have absolutely no way to counter an arc blade though. If I see that shit I'm dead most of the time, even if with my invective shotgun. :P

Shaders for ships would invalidate half of their "ships" in this game :).

I would be upset too, sorry man. That raid gear is very valuable. At least you have another shot at it tomorrow.
In his defense, I was also pissed at the raid boots I've gotten. They're 100% intellect, which can be good, but I'm already over Intellect cap, so it pisses me off.

Anybody else saving their Cryptarch mail for tomorrow?

No, I was worried the rewards in the mail already may be decided so I saved some blues instead. I know existing blues aren't affected by the patch, but I have enough to level up the Cryptarch and I know if I get purps in the mail they will either be purps, yellows or materials. Playing this one safe.

That is a bummer, but that increased defense stat is more important, and imperative if you want to get to 30

Defender Titans are the worst in PvP. Fucking armor lock.
Stopping the God damn flow of battle. I usually just walk away from the bubbles when they appear. I ain't got time for your games fool.

Hunters can't counter Novabomb so it seems fair to me.

Blade Dancer rules PVP. It'll be even more powerful when shotgun range is nerfed, not that you cannot be melee'd from out of effective shotgun range by one now.

Yes, but not sure if the mail is effected or not.

It definitely does not - especially not at the high level. All it takes is two people shooting and the Hunter is dead. Like I said, Titans have a win button that is impossible to dodge, and warlocks have their fireballs. Blade Dancer does not rule PVP at all. In fact, I think Gunslinger is a lot better.

Here's some NaCl for this thread:

Take two Gunslingers into pvp. Have them follow each other the entire match.

If this is Clash where it's less likely for there to be Nova Bombs and Fist of Havocs, this is a straight GG.

Even if Hunters did have an advantage in PvP, they are shafted in end game PvE. Titan Defenders and Sunsinger Warlocks are just too usefull. Golden Gun class is only good for enemies weak to solar and the actual super does embarassingly low damage. Pretty sure a headshot from my legendary sniper does more damage than a golden gun shot (which for some reason can't do precision damage)

Blade dancer is the only useful one. Blade dancing is good for evasion and mobility and for clearing low level adds. Besides that its a useless super on high level enemies/bosses. The only thing the class is good for is going invisible and trying to res teammates.

Shotgun followed with an instant melee is enough to kill a bladedancer and it takes more then one swing to kill a sunsinger warlock in arc blade. I would know since I have this happen to me all the time D:

My Shadow Price has the Radar Perk. I wanted Dr. Nope for that reason but I got the Shadow Price in a drop so I'm keeping that.
