Or you know,have matchmaking that filters depending on who has mics, who has ran the raid before, who is level 28+, etc.

That's a pipe dream though; if you're going into the raid and more than 1-2 people don't have mics, you should expect to have a hard time.

what strategy did you use at the end? We stayed at the door yesterday and everything kept resetting on us

running around like a mad man, and the doorway.

theres also a little spot all the way to the left before the edge of the pit on some stones on the cliffface that you can hide in the helps until the wizards come along and then you have to backup to the doorway again. when the shrieker spawns just move back into the other room further back until it despawns and then rinse repeat.

bring lots of ammo caches and fire and arc weapons, its a long grind.

Any tips for the Crucible? I’ll have to go all-in with Voidwalker and my legendary proximity-detonating void rocket launcher on that quest… just need some sort of void damage fusion rifle and I will be more cheesy than an extra large stuffed crust Pizza Hut pizza.

Dont die is the important one when doing the crucible part otherwise it takes ages, be a coward, i did it with a sniper rifle and lots of first light in the map rotation, i got lucky.

Attempting to play the VOG with only one person with a mic was a waste of time. Sheesh. It annoys me that I can't play several hours worth of content I paid for because it's designed to be played with mics and with people with mics.

I would argue that mics are necessary to make the experience worth playing to begin with. A "raid" simple enough to not require mics is a raid that shouldn't have ever been made. Destiny has enough bland content as it is, I'd hate for the one semi interesting and promising aspect to be gutted just so people without mics can play it.

Congratulations, I got it too and I believe 2 other ppl too who I did fireteam with. Upgrading it will be a bitch though.

I actually finished that mission myself late last night, and am enjoying the Thorn so far. It's obviously not as good as my previous Hand Cannon yet, but I'm trying to upgrade it ASAP!

I have tried this before giving 7-9 blues to the cryptarch at once around 2 or 3 times. I noticed that if you give them all together the rating drops from blue to green around the 4th or 5th engram you encode. I am not sure if this is going to be adressed in the next patch.

The reason I hoarded engrams was because I just used them to increase my cryptarch ranking hoping that I would get a purple engram in the mail.

If you plan on mass encoding be careful. This could also be RNGesus bending me over and fucking me, but I'd be safe and encode one at a time if you are actually planning on using the gear from engrams instead of scrapping it like I usually do.

This is a tiny sample size, so I'm just betting RNG wasn't in your favor. We're going to need more evidence to see whether mass decrypting actually results in blues being more likely to become greens.

Hmm, I also did this and it worked.
Though, I guess we fought through the first wave like normal.
We were getting tired of wiping, so someone stayed safe after they fell off the side and landed on a small spot and couldn't get back unless he killed himself, so the other 2 of us killed the waves and just kept respawning.
He was eventually killed by splash damage from 3 wizards so we switched to the door strategy to take down the last wave.
Ended up killing every last minion there to get to Xyor and ended up killing Phogoth from 80% health down to 0% in like 15 seconds without having to deal with those guys.

Everything should, even the Raid. Enough people fail they can either forgo that content and enjoy the rest of the game solo or learn to mic up and do what needs to be done.

I'll try getting on soon for Nightfall Strike, though mic will have to likely be on mute on my end since the wife will be asleep.

As far as the Blessing of the Gifted rumour mill going around, I equipped it and went off to the moon for some back and forth running. In 45 minutes I had 8 greens and 1 blue. Not bad, and better than what I normally get. Almost double actually.

Didn't give me better drops though and I'll need more time with it, but there could be some truth in it, or the best placebo effect ever.

Making SUROS available to everyone this past weekend was a mistake. I enjoy using it but it's for all intents and purposes perfect in PvP. the kill times were already ridiculously quick due to AR dominance. SUROS makes them almost CoD quick.

Does one weapon fit your play style over others?

Otherwise, it doesn't really matter. A Light in the Dark and Toland's Legacy's rewards will be getting a buff in the future, though details on that aren't specific.

Personally I'd go for Invective (Shotgun), but that's because I don't have a Legendary/Exotic Special Weapon.

Venus, head left from where you land in patrol. Just outside the cave where you start the Winter Run mission (assassinate that one Kell), there's a Fallen Major that respawns very frequently. That area is great for chest/spirit bloom runs as well.

The patrol missions where you have to assassinate a particular target is +25 rep. Its beacon icon is a star.

Stack some bounties with patrol (especially vip) missions and chase events between the divide and rocket yard (I think, whatever the :15 and :30 events on earth are).

Don't forget to do the weekly nightfall if you can as well. That gives you a 20% bonus to rep gains.
