I'm afraid to even try the raid. Not because I'll fail, but because I'm too scared of communication with other humans. Haha, thanks crippling social anxiety!

Then don't use a mic. Just listen to your teammate's call-outs, research the strategy ahead of time, and adjust as needed to work with your team.

Not too bad when one person isn't on mic now that strategies are known.

So cheese time.

Did you know that if you're the leader of a fireteam in Nightfall, you can have one of the other team members, if they die, quit the game then join again, bringing them back to life? The game doesn't know if you joined after death, or just hopping in. So if you can't get to the guy who's dead, they should quit and return.

Fireteam leader should be a sunsinger and safely squirreled away while the other two do all the heavy fighting and sweating. Just have to put this plan to mastery vs this weeks Nightfall...
Yeah.
I've been wondering if that also works for Hard Raid.
Hopefully you spawn into a checkpoint dead.

When a new person joins in the middle of a raid battle, they have to wait until everybody dies or the battle is finished before they can spawn in.

So no, it doesn't work.

If it makes you feel better, about 90% of the people I've raided with so far are pretty friendly people. I'd say shockingly, Destiny has a very nice community. Usually in raid settings in other games, I find people get a little more hostile easily. I'd say just go over the strategies beforehand generally and make sure you have the right weapons for various situations. If you do get matched with a jerk with a short fuse, it says more about them than you. Just leave the fireteam. It's never worth having a horrible time for several hours. Raids are the most successful imo with patient people.

It's going to be funny when Bungie gets rid of this without telling anyone.

This may be a really silly question, but I'll ask anyway.

Does the Vanguard Quartermaster reset? I could have sworn the bonuses on this Shadow Price were different last time I checked but I was late and I was exhausted. If so, how often?

I've a feeling I'll be looking for four people to do a raid with me and my lazy friend tomorrow/Thursday once I've finished the current run with BritGaf. Running on UK times, preferably ending session at or near 11pm as otherwise I'll have to turn my mic off anyway.

Gimme a PM if you want to run it with us. I imagine BritGaf'll want a break from raid til weekend after tomorrow.

Shame there's no reward for being a good guy and dragging your lazy friends through the raid so they can get the loot too.

Add me to the list also dude. EU gaffer looking for raiding party. work 9-5 so I'm down with playing at night. PSNID: AST2008

I have a choice between Pocket Infinity, Bad Juju and Super Good Advice. What do I pick?

Personally, I'd go with Pocket Infinity. The bounty isn't that hard, and it's a fantastic secondary exotic once fully upgraded. (It also makes those bounties of getting 20 double fusion kills extremely easy.)

Damn, I just got a Legendary Shotgun from a rare engram, followed by an Exotic armpiece from a Legendary Engram.

Praise RNGesus

Does anyone have Vision of Confluence (or other Raid weapons)? Is it worth upgrading solely because of more damage to Oracles, or is the damage boost not that significant?

Wandered around Venus today and found a transporter that looks like it will eventually take you up too a massive structure in the clouds. I'm almost starting to look forward to the DLC if there are more things like that. Really made me wish they had left some spots out of story mode so you could wander off the beaten path and run into a new encounter.

Exotic elm maxed, rest of the legendary stays as it is until i geat the Raid gear

Should also max out my Shadow Prince if tomorrow's daily will give me the right materials

Yes. Especially if you plan on doing hard mode raids.

I have the LMG upgraded and can tell a pretty big difference.

I have the VoC fully upgraded. I did a little testing last night and I'll do a little more tonight but no this gun, even with that bonus damage to oracles, is out shined in the raid by some other guns so it's not worth it for that ability alone. Taking out adds is and always wil be your biggest problem in the raid so that should be your main focus.

Gun is god-tier in strikes and other PvE stuff though so you should upgrade it for that.. The solar damage on a primary is amazing.

anyway, now that the raid's outta the way, i can post some screens. been a while so here's some from the week.

Are you emote pointing to get the third person shot view?

Will be able to tell you tonight. I upgraded it just bc it's a sick gun. But yeah, hoping the oracle bonus is good.

Having the solar damage alone as the damage type makes it worth it. You want to be able to juggle as many of the damage types as you can in this game for different situations.

I am probably going to have to wait until next weekend before I have the gear required to raid - so I am trying to collect strange coins to make sure I am covered. I have no luck with drops so expect that I will have to pay for everything. This has led to me trying to solo the weekly strikes.

I was able to make it through last weeks solo without any real issue (actually got the trophy for completing a strike without any team members dying). So for a (sad, lonely) laugh I attempted this weeks solo. Level 26 Sunsinger with the revive perk on and decided that I wanted 9 coins instead of 6 so squared off against level 28s.

It took about an hour and a half, but I was able to finish off Valus Ta'aurc. Juggler made things difficult. Last week I was able to just camp and wait for ammo to replenish, but I guess that is turned off when juggler is enabled. Fortunately a suicide and revive gives full primary ammo - so in total I died 4 times, but never had to restart. I hate that perk in MP, but in the campaign it is pretty handy.

Just completed the Nightfall with my two favorite Gaf counterparts... my loot? A legendary ENGRAM.

Turned into A BLUE ROCKET LAUNCHER... which would be terrible on it's own except for the fact I was rocking a fully-upgraded version of the same weapon during the Nightfall...

Yikes...

This. When they nerf the auto rifle the scout may become more dangerous in PvP too and having any elemental damage is a huge plus as that carries over like a perk does.

Well what my friends and I do is run through nightfall twice on our mains. Second time when the boss is about to die we switch out to our alts.

Huh, so I just completed 2 strikes from the Tiger strike list, but my Strikes Introduction bonus still counts only 26 instead of 28.

Anyone know which strikes count for Strikes Introduction?

Seems like one person always gets fucked over on nightfall rewards.

What did they get?
