Why are you even farming for engrams? Why not just purchase the gear that you want using marks?
Still have to farm for marks, besides what's the point there is no content other than the raid to do, and pvp has devolved into a fusion rifle battleground, I've kinda reached the point where the game is significantly boring

To be clear I'm pretty close to 27 now just need crucible marks for a dead orbit helmet and level it up could probably get almost to 28, but as I said the only new content would be the raid, and that's it.

There simply isn't enough here to keep me playing and chasing the loot when your gear has little or no effect in pvp and other than running a raid once a week it's the same story missions over and over again

Do we have any idea when the patch is coming?

I am really struggling to enjoy the game at the moment.
Even though the core gameplay is really fucking good, I am already getting burnt out on doing the same missions with new modifiers. And I haven't even played that much!

I refuse to buy into the "You are playing it wrong if you expect loot drops" angle that some sites and members here are spreading. I have no problem with faction rep being a way to gear up, but in my opinion it should always be an alternate route for character progression. Hell, I don't even count it is as true loot in my mind as the other 3 people waiting in line behind me are going to buy the same thing. I have the exact same problem with how the myth/soldiery system works in FF14, but there is at least other comparable loot that can be acquired without much hassle. There should be more though!

I think adding matchmaking to daily and weekly strikes would help me enjoy the game more. I have an infant now so my gaming time has been greatly reduced. So I am very picky about games when I don't feel like I am progressing very much in the time I play.
I can't even imagine how they came up with the exact opposite design philosophy for weeklies/dailies when compared to other modern MMOs. Isn't the entire point of these to give casual players a quick way to progress after logging on?

I hope the loot fix in this new patch helps me enjoy the game, but I am really wondering if it is something I will play long term especially as DLC starts splintering the userbase.

Have you done the raid yet? Guessing not by your comments just wasn't sure.

I think I'm done with this game.

Sick of farming for a slight chance to get a legendary engram and then rolling for a slight chance it will decode into a legendary, pvp is a fucking mess with fusion rifles one shotting me from range.

And then I have to ask myself why am I grinding light levels it's pointless.

I was super hyped for this game but it's dissolved into a pile of crap for me.

Time to move on I guess

Why are you farming? Increase your rep and use marks to get legendary stuff

So is it worth waiting for raid gear to use my shards or just sink the 38 I have into my legendary gear I have had since I hit 20?

Anyone wanna be my best friend forever? Need help killing queens mission boss on earth on my alt. at boss. Just need someone to help kill! Ps4 :)

Fuck I've only ever got two legendary engrams in my entire time playing this game and both times they rolled an exotic for the wrong class!!

I figured as much :/
In which case I may be done with this game.

Believe me, I'm in the same boat.

I'm not up for it tonight, but I'll add you on PSN if you want to try something later. I've got at least 2 other people, which means we'd just need to fill in the last 2 gaps.

Just wanted to say that playing with Gaffers has been the most pleasant experience I've had with Destiny. I love you all.

I hate the randomness in crucible :/

Basically carried my team to a win with a score of ~5k with 2nd place being ~2k... Got nothing from it. ㅠ_ㅠ

Cool man, feel free to add me: Stratosphere03. I could always use some more gaffers to play with regardless.

Oh thanks! I got the "gloves of the hezen lords" from the RAID.

EDIT: I just equipped these RAID gloves using the Destiny iOS app. I didn't realize you could change your equipment in the iOS app...

Hey deku...glad to hear you came out the other side with some raid gear!

I got the same pair of boots that I was wearing (raid level) and The Hawkmoon. Plus enough shards to fully upgrade the boots.

Was good having you on the team.

Ok hunters are the most useless in raids in strikes I guess?

Shields and reviving seem way more important than Golden Gun or Bladedancer

Got Skull of Dire Ahamkara for doing Nightfall, but VoG just rained shards on me. I think I'll level it despite having the lid Xur sold last time, recharging super with grenade kills seems tempting.

My Mida Multi Tool is good and all but missed using Hand cannon so bought myself one from the Vanguards yesterday.

12 bullets in clip
Damage increases stability
Larger clip unlockable. No idea how many more bullets I get.
Killing something increases damage

This thing is a beast! Reload could be faster but with so many bullets it is not really a problem.

You got hawkmoon during that? I didn't even notice. Grats! Was good raiding with you guys and hope we can finish it this week.

Someone come give me tips on pvp on how to be good :( having a horrible night

Step 1: Acquire shotgun with the attribute that reduces spread when aiming
Step 2: Level up that shotgun until you have that attribute
Step 3: Slide right up to people and... bam.

There's also a more serious thread on reddit that has some good tips: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyThe...guide_to_pvp_from_a_7_year_online_fps_player/

Taking things slowly and being methodical will help. The biggest takeaways are never to engage your enemy when they have the advantage and knowing the maps. If you have a shotgun, and they have a fusion rifle, make them get close to you. Be patient and don't rush out. Make the enemy play on your terms. This goes hand in hand with knowing the maps. You need to know the maps to know where you will have the advantage and where you won't.

What you know about my Tony Hawk skills tho

This is my first time making a gif. I don't know why there is letter-boxing. :<

Just finished the raid and a bit confused. I thought you got "raid" gear for completing it but I got a legendary heavy and lots of shards. Did I miss something? The raid gear is supposed to help us get to level 30 right?
