Guys, off topic here, but is there anyway i can set my psn status to offline when playing a game?

I have a mate that is always busting my balls to play FF realm reborn with him and i fucking hate it. Just want to play destiny or any other game in peace instead of getting bombarded with msgs.
 
When does the Engram patch go in? I thought it was already out and did a strike and got a purple engram and was like BAD ASS then I go to Rahool the glorious fucknugget and of course get a blue.

Only my second legendary weapon out of 20 or so purples. I thought the patch may have been live but apparently not.

Also I played the Dust Palace strike 6 times last night in the hope of getting any PS exclusive gear and got nothing at all. Anyone had any luck with drops from this?

I have never seen anyone with the ps exclusive gear, only the weapons
 
I honestly find it unfathomable what went through Bungie's collective head when they set up that drop system. I don't think I've heard of a game that created a sense of dread in players when they get an item like these goddamn engrams do. Like what the actual fuck. :/

Completely agree. I dont feel happy when I see a purple engram, I know I'm about to get royally fucked over lol

I wanted to love this weapon but the recoil, even with the stability upgrade, is ridiculous. Awesome burst though and relatively useful in pvp where the aim lock seems to be tighter and thus decreases the recoil somewhat

Are PS exclusive drops only IN Dust Palace, or everywhere?

Why would you replace your exotic if you like it? It has the same max lvl of light as raid gear.

I misremembered - they talked about effective range of the pulse rifles rather than fusion.

Balance

Our goal when balancing Destiny is to never have one player choice-- for example a choice of class or weapon-- either be so much better than the alternatives that it is the only valid choice or to be so much worse that it would always be a mistake to choose. Exotic Weapons
Exotic Weapons are designed to look, feel and sound overpowered, but to not actually break the game. We hope these weapons challenge the way players think about their loadouts and expect their idiosyncrasies to sometimes be a little frustrating. We find ourselves wanting to collect them all and hope players feel the same way.

Not all our Exotic Weapons currently live up to this promise. In particular those weapons received from completing exotic bounties including Thorn and Bad Juju have disappointed many of us who have gone through the great effort to obtain them because, despite looking and sounding amazing, they feel underpowered. We're here to offer some advice: don't shard those guns. Their time will come.

Auto Rifles
The Auto Rifle archetype is designed to appeal to players who like to throw up a wall of bullets and not worry if a few miss their target. It is intended to inflict sustained damage at close to medium range, but to lose effectiveness at longer ranges.

Today the Auto Rifle is too effective at long range, even beating Scout and Pulse Rifles in some circumstances. Expect stability and/or damage adjustments to the Auto Rifle to address this in the weeks ahead.

Scout Rifles
Scout Rifles are for players who like to keep their enemies at medium range and hate to miss. They are intended to be an awkward weapon to use at close range but to be dominant-- as long as you land your shots-- at medium and longer ranges.

Scouts just aren't hitting hard enough today when compared to other precision weapons. We'll be addressing this soon.

Shotguns
Shotguns are for those situations where you need to deliver a massive spike of damage, right now, to the thing standing next to you about to do you harm.

Today shotguns are effective beyond their intended range, especially when upgraded with that intention. Expect changes soon to address shotguns which push the envelope of what it means to be close quarters.

Agreed. I played a few matches with it and went straight back to my shingen-e. I may try again once fully upgraded but in the meantime it'll be a PVE weapon only.

That doesn't look good for PVP or PvE unless it has a good stability upgrade.

I believe people have had the Monte Carlo weapon drop in numerous places but I think the PS armor set is exclusive to the Dust Palace.

Not as bad as I though in PVE and has 2 stability upgrades so may be OK in PVP. The lack of impact is the real problem though.

The only legendary primary I have is an SR, so I'm happy if they're buffing it!

I'm actually really happy with it, but I'm nowhere near endgame content and don't PvP often. Rack up precision kills with it when I'm playing.

Impact doesn't matter for PvP outside of Iron Banner though. That is why so many rock Shingens.

I have the Multi Tool scout rifle, love the radar while ADS perk personally, but it just doesnt hit hard enough.

I dont think they should be handcannon levels of damage, but a bit more would be entirely welcome.

Did a pick up group on reddit for my alt Titan. Got legendary arms, legendary rocket and ICE BREAKER. I don't even care that we didn't kill the Last boss. I was so pissed my friend got it earlier from our previous raid. Now to just level the shit out of this. The only other exotic I want is the last word.
