My thanks goes out to Nick_or_Dawood who gave me a boost last night with a couple of missions. That was fun, but for some reason I could not get my headset to work properly. So I could not hear him and I suspect he could not hear me.

Oh, and by "giving a boost" I mean he killed all the bad guys and I was dead.
 
Rare Shingen-E is available at the gunsmith for 2170 Glimmer.

The Speaker has some new emblems which look pretty cool.
 
Destiny giving me that "you might be signed in elsewhere" bullshit again. The game itself is frustrating enough, I don't need connection issues on top of it all.

The enemy encounter design is just horrid. "Let's not challenge your critical thinking, we're going to throw a bunch of enemies your way, while the boss throws one shots at you." Whoever designed the raid needs to take over for designing the rest of the goddamn game, holy shit. If I only played the raid, I would have rated Destiny an 8.5-9, but the whole package has so many odd (read: bad) design decisions.

I'm less playing it out of fun, moreso out of OCD for trophies and completion.

There no way I'm going to farm the raid just to get raid gear, which again means farming for more Ass Shards which I'm dead tired of farming.

Fits perfectly though as Shadow of Mordor comes out in two days (Europe).

I'm 26+(28 atm) for 2 weeks now too and I haven't even done the Raid. Why? Cause got no1 to do it with + I'm playing on xbone so most of GAF ppl are out of reach.

You complain cause you're stuck @ 29... rlly, I'd love to be in your shoes, cause the fun content is out of my reach cause of group lock.

ps. srry, but it's really annoying. I'd love to do it at least once per week, but I can't, yet people are doing it and they complain - pisses me off.
 
Meh the PvP is starting to feel worse every time I play it. Everyone has the same AR that makes this weird sound and seldom do you get balanced teams. Also the lag has been increasing for a week now. I didn't any lag during the first weeks at all and now it's starting to creep in almost every match.

I want to care about how my team does in PvP but the game makes a great effort in not rewarding teamplay.

What time zone are you in? We usually do Xbox One raid each Tuesday on "mains" and Saturdays on alts if we feel like it, usually we have 4-5 regulars and 1-2 randoms that most of the time end up being dead weight to carry. Takes us 60-90 mins to do full clear. But most of us are from Asia (JP/KR) and Australia, with random late night players from US mostly.

I have only played Crucible when Exotic bounties make me. I do fine and finish at the top. But I can't take it seriously. To much lag and bullshit.
 
Managed to download a pdf of the grimoire before heading to the beach and I have been reading bits of it throughout the day. Sweet lord jesus, it is so bloody great! The universe they have crafted is incredible and layered like a super space cake. It has made me hunger for the dlc. If you haven't read it yet do yourself a favour. :)

I would of rathered some raid gear instead, but atleast it's better than what I got yesterday. Is the Thunderlord exotic any good? That's the name of the machine gun I got.

Edit: How do I still not have the raid achievement after beating it twice? Has this happened to anyone else as well?

It's the best machine gun I've come across yet. Very good for this weeks Nightfall since it has arc damage.
 
It's getting pretty tiring farming for ascendant shards at this point. I'm halfway to reaching level 28. Don't know if I'll make it, quite frankly. Might just wait until the DLC hits. Doubt I'll ever do the raid anyhow without matchmaking. I only have three friends that play. I feel uncomfortable and I choke when I play with people that I have to ask to play with most of the time (or maybe I just suck). I love this game but I think this farming for shards thing has killed it for me for now.

Just the heroic story to do each day and a public event. Plus crucible.

It's good to have a good backup. If you get an exotic heavy you want to use when ammo spawns in PVP you can switch.

I have Suros for my main and then when heavy ammo spawns I use thunderlord and basically destroy with that the rest of the match. aqve to switch to Shingen to equip that.

I've been giving Suros users that work with the Khvostov (starting weapon). That should tell you enough about the skill level associated with Suros users.

Did Bungie say they were going to buff scout rifles? They did that already right?

IIRC, shotguns, fusion rifles, ARs getting nerfed. Bad Juju and Thorn getting buffed. I don't think scout rifles were mentioned.

EDIT: forget fusion rifles, and scout rifles are getting buffed.
 
I'm quite good with JuJu in PVP, first time I've used pulse rifles in it.

Not having to reload after a kill is amazing.
