Equip an Arc element FR and get those Nightfall kills. Pretty easy even if it takes a little of your time to get 200.
I did the dust palace and somebody else got Monte Carlo .

9 strange coins is roughly 3/4 of an exotic? And you get to choose which one (out of a limited set!)
The guaranteed armour pieces are 13 Strange Coins. There's one for each class a week, the Exotic weapons range from 17-23 Strange coins, and then there's an Exotic Engram for 23 Motes of Light that can become a piece for any of the 3 classes.

I want the Last Word sooooo bad. Not even 30 minutes ago I got out of a crucible match and someone on my team managed to get one, lucky bastard. Of course I was the only person not to get anything, even though I was the top player and the only one to break even on the team -_-

Ah ok thanks - didn't realise the weapons were more expensive, but I guess that fits the rest of the game. e.g. Vanguard weapons are roughly twice the price of Vanguard armour.
The game seems set up so that (apart from lucky drops) your weapons always seem to be trailing your level/armour...

Was just asking because the patch is going to turn them all blue anyway. It's also going to decrease the rate of legendary drops in the now common "for whatever bungie giveth bungie taketh away in measure unequal" fashion to 'balance' the definitive decryption change
That's what I got from reading the patch notes anyway. So I took a turn to decrypt my 10 legendaries I had stored and got blues, shards, energies, coins and motes. The 14 I decrypted in one go before at least gave me 6 legendary items

Is it possible to do the raid on Hard mode for someone who hasn't finished it on normal yet? If they are invited by a fireteam leader who has Hard unlocked, for example?

how do you get faction weapons that are not listed ? Like the snipers or else ? luck drop when leveling their reputation past 3 ?

I'll just have to keep going, all 3 snipers I have are fully upraded rares for each damage type so I really want a Legendary.
I decrypted the Legendary engram and it was a Rare rocket launcher.
Yea thought they might lower the drops now. :/
Works fine here. But they are doing some updates so that might be causing trouble for some.

Ok I tried the weekly strike with a couple of friends and it was so hard it's not fun at all.

I actually do need shards but it feels bad when I know it could have been a lot more and I have to wait a week to roll the dice again.
That's one reason. Another is maybe lack of Defender/Sunsinger/Bladedancer specs to make revives/survival easier.
It shouldn't be that bad though. I'm 27 and got through it relatively easily. Is it just the boss that's giving you trouble? If so, when you go in the final room, go to the far left corner and just over the boxes on the lower level. There's an area where all three of you can stand and take potshots at the boss.
Make sure you're using Arc weapons.
Yeah i figured. 25 kills took me about 30 mins since i some scrub lvl 16 blue fusion rifle. I was wondering/hoping that there was a cheese method like with last week's mission. Alas. 3 more hours of tedious farming then. meeeeeeeeeh!
How did you do Nightfall with 12 kills?
He probably disconnected and had to rejoin or he joined in late.
OR he just really really doesn't like shooting people.

I think that's correct. I wouldn't even take friends to hard VoG if they have no experience tbh.
It's possible... but highly unlikely.
The biggest problem is that the raid essentially comes down to trial and error. But with hard, there's no room for that because there is no respawning. So if you haven't done it before then you're just going to be a burden to people who have done it and know what they're doing

Have we got confirmation that packages at the postmaster will stay "legendary" after the patch? I.E guaranteed legendary engrams if we stockpile them there?
i would work on the assumption that their contents are decided the moment they are given, and sit patiently just under a level up and level up once patch is confirmed live

We'll have confirmation after someone's tried it. The reasoning is that until you claim the coupon or whatever they don't actually exist yet. It randomly rolls a few legendary or blue engrams.
