I always get a couple of blues every rank with the Cryptarch, so nothing has changed. I rarely got legendary engrams and I'm like rank 28.

Just solo'd the daily heroic on tier 3 and all i got was a blue engram. At least I got 2 shards out of it.

well that's a blue engram more than you got before. "blue or legendary engram" is exactly what they stated to have added to the rewards, I hope you weren't expecting anything else.

No kidding. I didn't realize the mail package having a chance to be blue was breaking news for some. Must have been real nice.

haha yeah I usually predict meta complaints like this but given my prior odds of blue vs. legendary from the mail I had figured everyone would have had a similar impression. RNG works in mysterious ways

Quit? Well thanks for the handy advice buddy. Seriously, I was under the impression purples will now be purple. I opened purple packages and got a ton of blues which confused me. Did I misunderstand the patch a bit? Yeah, but quit? Sorry if my confusion offended you, but quitting seems like a bit of a childish reaction.

Pretty sure the patch only affected engrams and not packages.

yeah I had the sword and everything being on level 27 these guys were easy to punch out but held the sword and the 3 dudes never showed until I got disconnected

Based on your post you are not enjopying the game. If you're not enjoying a game my advice will forever and always be to quit and find a game you do enjoy. That is absolutely not childish.

Then I should probably have clarified that. I'm pretty hooked on the game and the loot system isn't even much to do with that. I'm in it for the gameplay but for a brief while I thought the game screwed me out of what was supposed to be 8 legendaries through some error. I should probably retract my complaint and so I do, seeing that strikes now have some decent rewards is definitely a plus.

Yeah that's the bit that caught me off guard. Thinking about it that would botch the system hard unless they added other lower rarity packages than can be earned.

Rewards for Tiger strike - perfect. But will this lead to people AKFing, that seems to happen a lot when just a plain old bounty has you do something trivial like take down Sepiks... hope there's something in there to catch this, in fact I think I'll put together a team to test it out.

Why lower the rate of certain maps? I understand the time limit, but the maps-- they are not that bad.

IMO, folks saying they want to quit because of this patch probably haven't hit the frustration of doing the raid and getting ass shards, a gun you already have, and the ship you already have, and then being locked out of doing that mode for a week.

Personally I am happy with the 1 week lock out, with that and the weekly heroic/nightfall.

That means I don't have to touch this game for a whole. I probably will anyway to do a daily or maybe level an alt. But no pressure to try and grind anything or progress or whatever, forget it.

This is the one thing that this game doesn't have compared to MMOs. A reason to log on and just screw around doing nothing and acting like an idiot in a public chat room.

I hate both of those maps so I gotta disagree about the not that bad part... it is weird that they would lower the rate of them though. Everyone has maps they don't like and I would imagine opinions on them vary quite a bit. I know a couple of my friends absolutely love Bastion.

I think the game should kick people in strike for not moving for a specific time and kicking them if they are not within a certain distance from their party members. Kicking based on not doing damage for a set period of time could be flakey, but I want that as well.

Doing a mission for the queen, get to the boss room, sniping some of the adds on the doorway to clear the room out, door slams down on me, I died, I res, door won't open anymore and then I get DCed.

I call this "getting codefucked." it happens in games every once in a while, you probably broke a developer's heart in a past life or something. just have a drink and try to shake it off

Engrams are guaranteed to decrypt to the approppriate color now. Everything having to do with the benefits of leveling up the Cryptarch and getting mail rewards to get more legendaries was just speculation on the parts of the playerbase and while some people are getting purples and some are getting blues from their mail rewards, this is just equivalent or even possibly identical to the way it was before- the purples will just turn into actual purples now.

It would really dissapoint me if they lowered the purple drop rate, it's not like blues continue to serve any function of value to a large portion of the playerbase. If it does really become just a sea of blues I might end up dissapointed again. But I will hold off a while before rendering a verdict.

Personally I think Bastion is the worst map in the game, so I'm fine with it. A shame too, because Destiny needs more varied map sizes...the bigger ones just don't work very well right now. Moon map is okay.
