The legendary sniper that drops can be very good.
Chance that a legendary ship drops too.
Plus the xp is nice.
For me, it was useless.
not sure if it feels much better but i assume you have to grind less in diablo since i have a lot of legendaries from higher difficulty rifts
tbh i totally feel like the $70 i paid bungie is not enough since they obviously want me to buy the season pass

The xp is never useless if you're levelling gear.
5000 exp for lvling armor and weapons by doing the bounties.
There is a legendary queen sniper rifle u can get from the missions but its a very rare drop it seems.
I wasn't interested in leveling gear.

Just wanted to say that the patch has made the grind a tad more bearable, particularly Tiger Strikes and Dailies/Weeklies. I dig it.

getting a exotic is more satisfying that diablo because in diablo it drowns you in the fucking things.

And in Destiny it's the opposite effect, you're so starved for loot that when you get an exotic you put it on a pedestal.
That's how I felt when I got my Universal Remote. And then I never got an exotic again.
Just finished the lvl28 weekly with my hunter. Besides my 9 coins, I landed two rares and a purple. They turned into a Comedian and a Light/Beware. Finally, a legendary fusion. I have Pocket Infinity, but it limits my versatility...and ammo count. I think I'm going to start breaking down rare weapons like I do rare armor. Between my hunter and warlock, I have 7 legendary weapons (none heavy), 10 legendary armors, 6 exotics weapons and 4 exotic armors. No raid gear yet. 
I have enough coins to buy armor from Xur already, but I plan on completing the lvl28 weekly with my warlock tomorrow. I did the nightfall with the hunter, but might have to do it with the warlock this weekend. The xp boost isn't a big deal for me, it's more for the reward. I got 12 energies from it last night.
Using 2 characters is really paying off right now. PEACE.

Holding off on upgrading my current legendary gear further - saving the mats for raid gear.

You can get weapon drops. I've done about 20 missions though and only got the same chest and helmet nothing else.

So aside from the legendary sniper which I would LOVE to have, it's not really that exciting for me.
I already have 2 exotic , and 2 legendaries (used to be 3) primary weapons.
I just need SHIT SHARDS to level up so I can do Nightfall and VoG. Beside that I don't think there's any incentive for me to play the game except for helping lower level friends which could be fun.
The balance in the game is not so good. I think Bungie should've hired some MMO consultants to advise them on the right formulas to use to keep people interested in the game.
At this state of mind and if the game remains as it is, I would not buy the expansion pack, no way

Alright, finally dismantled the ten rare or better Fusion Rifles towards the Pocket Infinity exotic bounty. Now all I have to do is farm easy Hive Thralls on the Weekly Nightfall Strike.

The ironic thing is that the Vault basically showers you with shards. They're not that hard to come by, you just need to be patient because outside of the daily heroic and daily public event there's not much you can do .

Dismantle it for Ascendant shards or energy. I had 2 legendary and 1 exotic item for Hunter but I have no interest in that class so I got rid of them.
I ranked up the Cryptarch. I was given a legendary engram. I finally got a legendary. It was for a hunter.

It took us forever but we finally did it. We got on top of the canopy in the tower. We found a few other spots to climb but nothing as interesting.

I've tried Nightfall and had to quit at the final Boss after almost an hour of trying. It was ridiculous. My weapon (pictured above) did no damage whatsoever, I tried the Fusion rifle which I HATE just to get past few areas.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Maybe I should use weapons from a specific element?

Only 'strike' kills count - you can't just take out easy mobs on the way to the instance.
There's an easy place to do it. As soon as you get inside the iron line there are some 'strike' Cabal there and it's not a darkness zone, so you can take your time. Gets you about 20 ish kills. I'm trying to do it once or twice a day, it's pretty boring though!

Took me less than two hours to get those kills with a level 18 arc Fusion Rifle. Just 5 separate Nightfall runs with 20-30 kills during the first 3 and 60+ during the last two (I usually died when the tank boss came).

I got into the first no spawn area, took about 3 down with a fusion rifle then got tired of being peppered with constant rocket fire until dead so beat it back to space.
Might just leave the Pocket Infinity on the back burner and see what shows up next week.
But but its the last thing you need to do!!!!
Ahh thank god, I thought it was just me having issues.
Someone check out the Lizard Squad twitter account and see if those fuckknuckles have been at it again...
