I would run the strikes that had bounties first and then switch between earth and moon raids on easy and sometimes mix it up with the vanguard playlists. It took me about 3 days with 2-3 hours each day to complete it but I was doing other things like bounties, patrols and public events for a change of pace.
That does sound like a better system. But it also sounds complicated.
Destiny hasn't shy'd away from complicated (i.e. factions) but RNG is the juvenile way of dealing with loot.
Loot should be scaled to the enemy, not the character killing the enemy. In Borderlands 2, you beat the game at level 50. Restart in new mode... first level in the game the enemies are level 50 and you do it all over again.
Destiny could allow you to select difficulties for EVERYTHING. You want to farm the loot cave? Okay, fire up the level 28 cosmodrone patrol and get to it.
This? Can someone repost that Oracle map for the templar boss fight on hard?
Our fireteam made it to that stage but keep on missing one oracle and can't figure out where exactly. Thanks.
Hitting up patrols and public events is a perfect opportunity to get some chests and material nodes too- great for downtime. If you started doing bounties as soon as you could (level 4 I think), there's a pretty reasonable chance you'll be about to hit rank 2 around the early 20-levels: exactly when you need your first legendary piece to progress.Yep, when you think of it as grinding rep it sucks. I enjoyed this process more by mixing bounties, patrols and public events together. The public events help with marks and you get at least one ass mat plus all 3 build rep too (I think public events do at least) so you can be doing a variety of things at once. Maybe you'll even get a random drop with something nice while you are doing it.
Clan is full fyi, can't join in as a clan mate.
Can you still get the trophies if you are just a "member" of the RaidGAF?
Lololol He's the sniper King.
The Devil You Know is solid.
I have special and heavy weapons that need upgrades... http://www.bungie.net/en/Legend/2/4611686018429255378/2305843009215488711#gearIf you see ?? XP that means I don't have the data yet, quote this post with a link to your bungie profile if you have one of those types equipped so I can pull it.
PvP is also fantastic XP if you don't mind the handicap. Maybe level 8+.Thinking about creating a warlock alt. How are you guys leveling up alt characters quickly? I already sink a lot of time into my hunter, but I want that sunsinger for self resurrecting. I can't imagine putting time into both evenly. I do have legendary and exotic gear in the vault for the alt to help once I get to twenty. Just burn thru bounties and do the minimum story mode?
If the group isn't going well "most of the time" maybe the problem isn't with your group members...The problem is I don't have real friends playing the game but I've been playing with gaffers most of the time and most of them are very good.
Yeah I know what you're talking about. Someone (crudely) made that in paint here though I believe. Not sure how to find it.No the one in the previous ot that had the red and green dots to show positions. Same map but with dots.
Time once again to pray to Xur. Please sir, The Last Word, Red Death or Ice Breaker would be a lovely use of my coins.

on another note... combined arms sure is seriously awful. let's phase that one out boys.

The map I posted has the oracle spawns though. Isn't that what you need?
25000 XP/slot for that exotic special. Do you have an exotic heavy you can equip?
No the one in the previous ot that had the red and green dots to show positions. Same map but with dots.
Exotic heavy if you still need it. http://www.bungie.net/en/Legend/1/4611686018435455316/2305843009220565620#gear
Unfortuantely, no. Gotta have the clan tag ingame for the whole fireteam.
Thanks, although fyi that map is incorrect, only 7 oracles, bottom left and right on that map don't exist

This is about the time where you're at work and realize it wasn't the smartest idea to stay up till 3am playing Destiny.
Sure- let me remote in and I'll equip thunderlord.... holy bejesus what the fuck you can equip weapons from the Companion site. sorcery. why do they even allow you to do that? you can decide at work what build to run when you get home? just what. brain.25000 XP/slot for that exotic special. Do you have an exotic heavy you can equip?
Mark acquisition really accelerates when you can do the Tiger Strike playlist/Daily Heroic Story/Weekly Heroic/Weekly Nightfall without too much trouble. In other words, it's much tougher to afford your first piece than your third. That's exactly what I did, and exactly what happened, yep.
Was a bit low on the vanguard marks, though, but that proved lucky, as one of Rahool's packages got me the legendary armor I was about to buy...
Not sure it's been mentioned, but make sure you try to get to the ~2500 kill limit on each planet, in order to unlock the extra resources from chests. I just realized I need another 100 kills on Mars to unlock that one. It really helps. I get a purple out of an Old Russian chest at least once a week. Well, pre-patch anyway. Also, motes are like once a day from chests for me. PEACE.
No the one in the previous ot that had the red and green dots to show positions. Same map but with dots.
Where do I check that?
Keep grinding rep, that is the most efficient way to get legendaries. I was in the same boat. However, through just focusing on rep, I have gone from 20 to almost 24 through the random drops and am nearly closing in on Rank 2. Lvl 24 is the peak before you need legendaries to progress. Overall, I think the progression path works well and if you follow the intended method of progression you will not get stuck at a Light level for an extended period of time (at least until you need Raid gear).
I was lucky enough to have 1 blue engram turn into a Legendary Primary Scout Rifle, but even without that, I would get there soon enough.
GrimorieWhere do I check that?
I know that feel broLove getting matched with afk people in the strike playlist.

This is just fantastic. Fine work gentlemen and/or ladies. Can I put it in the tips and tricks post (with credit of course)?Flo_Evans and I have done some research:

Honestly,I am looking at it like this: The amount of people who are/will be lvl 30 is a tiny tiny subsection of players. Most players will be 28 or 29, which are levels that allow you to do all content in the game.
With the first DLC we are getting a second raid at least, which has lvl 28 as it's base level. This already means that if you aren't 30 when it comes out,you now have two raids every week (technically 4 raids for normal+hard mode each) that give you the chance of drops. But not being 30 never skips you out of any content. i see it as less of a normal "max level" and more of a "special" level cause it's literally the only level in the entire game you can only reach via drop luck. every level from 1-29 can be reached without needing any drop luck at all.
Where do I check that?
It did seem like too many, but I can tell you the left side is accurate as I always play the left in our raid runs. There's one by the stairs top left (next to Templar spawn), one on the base level on the left where the conflux spawns, and one back a little on the opposite stairs. So 3 on the left. And I know the one in the center is accurate as well. Thanks, although fyi that map is incorrect, only 7 oracles, bottom left and right on that map don't exist
