Speaking of which... there really is plenty I'd like to do tonight... but it's time. Let's raid. Tonight after work and a couple errands, the Vault awaits.

Sign up now guardians! This will be my first serious raid attempt. I know very little about the encounters, but I am a good listener and have a very solid, adaptable arsenal. First-timers are completely welcome and anyone with experience who can take point would we welcome as well.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I've not had much luck getting people to join in the Raid thread but Guardians will flock to the Hawkian banner! this is perfect too since I will be out of town tomorrow evening. I did the beginning to the final actual chest you can open once and have also done the final phase of the final boss separately as a team had someone drop one night. So there's a portion I haven't seen but should have advice and direction for much of it though not a seasoned Raid running pro, obviously! (yet!) I'm excited that I have exponentially better weapon options than the one time I did it.

With what happened with my hands today (I shut off Destiny about an hour ago and they hurt for a half hour after), I'm not sure I'll be doing the raid now. Like, ever.

Hopefully it's just something today.

No Dax, no! Use icy hot or something... You can't say ever either, even if you can't make it tonight, we'll drag you in with us next time! I know that I'll keep running them at minimum until I get full Raid gear but it's also by far the most team work/coordination heavy content in the game and is therefore the most satisfying and fun. Same here. I disabled it a week ago, never turning it on again. My nerves were being slowly melted away.

yeah, any exotic armors stay the same. they aren't effected by shaders.

i don't think so, i have a future war cult gun and i've been leveling up my vanguard rep lately. it only matters what class item you have on. if you're wearing a factions sash/arm band/hood it'll lvl up rep for them specifically. if you just have on a regular class item it'll just lvl vanguard.

D: I have heard it suggested that you turn off rumble to assist with hand pain- try this before you play another second! And definitely take breaks during multi-hour sessions.

i turned off rumble 4 years ago and never looked back. bungie's always been good about subtle vibrations in their games and they feel great, but my aim grew so much better when i made the switch. you're also spared hand numbing pain after a long play session and you save battery life.

Probably better to just upgrade to 29 as it will allow you to do the raid twice per week and double your chances at raid gear. Once on normal and again on hard.

This is one of the few games I've played where I feel the game gives enough visual feedback as to the state of your health and where enemies are. You get smacked and the camera jerks pretty dramatically and you KNOW you got hit. Rumble is slightly superfluous due to how notable visual feedback is unlike a lot of other games where it's borderline necessary IMO.

I do kind of miss it for firing fusion rifles though. You get a lot of response from the gun through the controller and I kind of miss being able to feel exactly when it was finished charging and about to fire.

Well I do have enough vanguard vouchers/crucible coins/strange donuts/motes of might to get to 29 as soon as Xur shows up.

We did poke our heads in after clearing normal last night, I could take down the goblins in the 1st stage but it took a long time.

The Goblins are fair to deal with, but the problem arises when they get to close or swarm, or when you're being attacked by Praetorians/Minotaurs.

The worst to deal with has to be the Axis Minotaurs and the Hobgoblins.
