Use the mobile app. Tons of people posting in the clan thread always lfg. I ran the raid twice yesterday. The 2nd time bc the first group stopped at the final boss.

My last 4 public events and dailies I got only ascendant energy, or nothing at all. (I've got 15 in my inventory right now which I'm saving up to upgrade that sweet pocket infinity)

You can get ascendant energy in weeklies too.

Some people can't raid very often or at all.

So really the only sure way to get some is by dismantling Xur's gear, once a week, if you get enough coins (easy) or motes (less easy).

So I really wouldn't say they're everywhere.
 
Quick question for those who've done the raid. Is it possible to go back in and do it again with another group just to help them? My group has too many people and may run it a second time for those who can't make it into the first group.
 
Went with Toland's legacy for now since it'll be awhile since I'm Nightfall ready.

Would someone be kind enough to run me through the level 26 weekly heroic strike so I can get this first bounty done and 6 strange coins :) I'm only level 24

Yes you can do it again you just wont receive rewards again until the weekly reset.

Got a doctor nope as reward from nightfall. Rof is crazy.
Honestly i'm tired of suros regime. Having a high rof AR is a nice change.

Pocket Infinity is insanely good once you get the full auto upgrade. It's incredible in PVE and great in PVP too. Bad Juju is just okay.

I have both and I use my Pocket Infinity for almost every PVE thing I do. I rarely ever put on my Bad Juju. Maybe when it's buffed it'll be more useful but Pocket Infinity is the safer bet.

If you really want Bad Juju though then by all means go for it. It isn't an outright terrible weapon and if the buff ends up being considerable than Bad Juju could be a really, really good weapon.

Edit: Ah you went with Bad Juju already. Good luck with your bounty. The 25 strikes is a bit of a drag but otherwise it's pretty simple.

Thanks for the advice! I'll pick up the pocket infinity bounty next if I'm high enough level to do Nightfall reasonably.

Xyor.... I don't know what we were supposed to do/what we did wrong but after what feels like 20+ mins of killing I finished. Thats 4 exotic bounties done.
 
Question for the experienced folks here: How much of your blue/purple/gold equipment would you say you picked up in the less time-intensive activities, i.e. story missions, strikes, casual crucible play?

I'm level 17 at the moment, and I've got a couple of blues (armor mostly, one or two weapons) and nothing in purple or gold. Basically I'm jealous as hell of all the people with crazy purple and gold gear, and I'm wondering if I'll ever be able to get any without having to be play raids or sink dozens of hours into the crucible.
 
GAF, I need help! My PS4 controller broke this afternoon (fell off my chair and broke the R2 trigger.)

I'm on my way to buy a replacement. What colour should I get?!

You also get them from dismanteling bought legendaries with marks. I got 4 today just from the daily and a public event. Sure you get energy too. I have 2 weapons at 300 and one almost there.

Hit that slump where I can't really advance till I get Raid Gear or Ascendant Energy. Annoying because I've done the Raid twice, and also got 41 Ascendant Shards, just no Energy. Le sigh...

Be wary of the blue ones. I picked one up a while back, and while the colour is super cool, the triggers are kinda loose and slide about a little.

Keep your receipt.
 
My main weapon is a near fully upgraded Bad JuJu and it is good once you get String of Curses. The default clip needs to be large and it could do with some adjustments to the sound and feel of it shooting because right now it just sounds like a pea shooter.

That sounds like it could be an issue with yours alone, instead of a problem with the blue controllers in general..
 
Would anyone be willing to run a lowbie through one of the lower level weekly heroics? I'm lvl 24.. want to get it done for my exotic bounty, but strange coins are nice too :)
 
It took me hours. It's 6am where I live and I just finished. Jesus this has been crazy but that Exotic bounty is finally done. Invective is mine.

I'll wait until it's fully upgraded and I get used to it in the Crucible before passing judgment, but so far Invective seems great. My previous Crucible shotty, Final Verdict, remains a decent contender though:

FV also has a perk that boosts damage to Oracles (though I don't know shotguns would be very useful against them anyways).

1 person on the left on top of a pillar to see the back left pocket
3 people on the starting area that looks like an upside down T. (one left side, one mid, one right, but really most can wander up here and attack as needed)
2 people on right side on the sniper pillars

last person is a wild card. Put that person where you are having the most trouble (probably left side somewhere)

Basically just shoot oracles. If any are missed jump off and wipe. Should get through without much trouble since you don't have to deal with the ads.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, it is VITAL to have weapons with good range here. Damage is reduced by half or more when out of effective range. Scout rifles like Vision of Confluence with Oracle damage are a godsend here.
