What's the best handcannon out of these:

• The Devil You Know (Vanguard)
• Lord High Fixer (Crucible Quartermaster)

Those are both great choices, especially the vendor version you can't really go wrong, for both PvE and PvP (the Lord High Fixer having a slight PvP advantage). I'd instead make the decision based on what you want to spend the other marks on- let me know if you need me to clarify that.

Sunbreakers. AV's main special is restoring your health when activating your super which is pretty useless to a Sunsinger 90% of the time. Sunbreakers makes your solar grenades better, faster reload for ANY special weapon, and lowers your grenade cooldown for causing melee damage.

Still need to level it before I'll start using it. Equiping it now, puts me from 28 to 27 which is a large dmg/ surviability decrease.

Do bounties and then equip the helm before you turn them in. Levels it up pretty quickly. I just got it this morning and am 2 upgrades away from maxing it out. Already have the blinding when coming in ward of dawn upgrade.

I get what you're saying but I know people who've spent 200hrs playing the game and haven't found more than 1 or 2 exotics that they could use so I think Xur is kind of necessary in a game like this.

That describes myself. 198 hours, 60k kills, Vanguard rank 7, Cryptarch rank 35. It feels like I've had a fireteams worth of exotics for Hunter (I'm Warlock). Only had a single Warlock exotic drop afair (skull) bought one from Xur (another helmet last week). Had quite a few weapons, though, and got decent raid items from first run through.

So after weeks of gambling with exotic engrams and getting nothing for my hunter, i decided to spend this week leveling my lock and titan alts. My warlock is sitting at 25 now and my titan is about to hit 20 and jump straight to 24/25. I am now excited to buy another engram not caring which class it ends up for. I am really enjoying playing all 3 classes!

So decided to pass on the Achlyophage Symbiote Hunter Helm and hold out my Strange Coins for the Knucklehead Radar helmet whenever that comes around again.

I figure Inverse Shadow Ability -> An extra Golden Gun shot. Also it looks ugggllyyyy.

Got both, Symbiote is good for raids, knucklehead for pvp.

Hell yeah! Saint-14 is mine this evening! I also grabbed that bounty a while back and should have the Juju tonight. I'm looking forward to it. I'm going to pick up the Red Death and I'll let you know what I think of the two.

I've used the bubble offensively before. I actually jumped in the middle of three enemies, dropped it, and wrestled them all to death.

I shall be a Spartan tonight.

Besides, I hear it's very useful in the raid. Use it to block off Confluxeseseses.

I do that all the time. It's usually when I play control and there's a bunch of enemies on the B point. I run up there and drop the bubble shield and wreck them. It's easy too as I've got the Armor of Light perk on which gives me a significant damage resistance increase.

Raid helms can only drop when you beat Atheon on hard mode it seems, that's the only time I've ever seen them drop for me or other people. I already had the Helm of Inmost Light so it was useless to me.

Oh, is this confirmed? This would be good news to me... I haven't done the raid yet, but have been holding off upgrading anything because I knew if I did, I'd immediately replace the item with raid gear. Would be good to know I can safely upgrade a helm.

Guaranteed a legendary chest and helmet if you play the Queen's Wrath missions. Plus, all good advice will tell you to no rely on RNG for legendary items. You earn marks to easily buy what you want and dismantle what you don't for upgrade materials.

Xur stock is great for me. Since I already have the Red Death I can use the coins on both the Titan and Hunter helm. That gives me all 3 hunter exotic helms and an exotic for my alt. Sweeeet!

Thanks for this- I was thinking I'd pass altogether this week, as I don't need the Symbiote for my builds- but I know I will want that Titan helm for a Defender build on my one day Titan alt. I think I'll buy that so that I've got a "level 20 starter kit" for both my Warlock and Titan when the time comes.

Both can be built around for both, easily. Very good exotics.

My only issue with the raid is the Atheon fight can be very glitchy.

Aside from that it's a very well designed set of encounters. They did a very good job transposing raids to an fps setting.

Can't wait for the new ones (not grasping for hard mode yet, don't want to bang my head agains the RNG raid gear wall - if it happens, it happens).
