Kuvira takeover :D

Not bad first episode at all.

Nice seeing Korra at the end and not having the whole episode of her dealing with her past crap.

Lol Mako, poor guy, and what a douche of a prince. I wonder what happened between Opel´s brother and his family. If by betrayal they mean he joined Kuvira, i don´t see how is that betraying the family.

about Kuvira:
i just hope she isn't another 100% evil antagonist who wants world domination. her metalbending is amazing though. i could see a weakened korra getting her shit beaten out of her.

Oh man Kuvira, she kicks ass. Zelda doing a good job so far. Looks like her betrayal to Suyin seem to happen not long after the events of Book 3. And uggggh that prince lol, sucks that Mako has to deal with him. XD Also Korra.D: Three years later and still a wreck. Overall a good start.

We still going with this? Mako is fine now. People may shit on season 2, but I'm pretty happy they made him a cop. Made him far more interesting to watch, especially in season 3.

I mean, it is too bad making him more useful came at the expense of character assassinating everyone around him, but such was season 2.
lol, i dont hate him ( anymore after book 2 ) but it was funny.

A prediction which I think is very likely to happen but I really hope it doesn't:
Kuvira's army is funding some of the bandits, so to make the states subjugate easier and make the citizens like them. If not all of the bandits that attacked the town, then at least that sword guy which attacked Kai and Opal on the bison (he's got a freakin' plane)

Don't lose your waaaaaaay

Well since they have to top the scale of the Unavaatu fight somehow...

Kuvira: Heh...not bad.

Korra: I'm just getting started!

So what exactly was Korra doing?

Trying to learn some fighting skills or has she had enough of the pressures of being the Avatar and wanted to slink back unto Republic City and do her own thing?

Good season opener. Kuvira is a goddamn beast, can't wait to see her really cut loose against someone who poses more of a challenge.

Will Bolin's involvement with Kuvira
cause Opal to lash out and become evil?

She's
in the Earth Kingdom somewhere. Kind of like an underground fighting / bending ring for some extra cash.
She's trying to find enlightenment but feeling lost about it.

Kuvira is the baddest. Her voice seems different, is she still being voiced by Zelda Williams?

And she snagged one of Opals brothers. Chick is playing the long game.

I feel bad for Korra. Looks like shes traveling and fighting to get her skills back.

Kuvira´s bending reminds a bit of Toph´s. The rest of the earth benders look like scrub in comparison. Very good. Dat high speed movement that pulled all the bandits together.

But she
hasn't been missing for the entire three years, right?

I just....I just look at her and I feel so sad. My baby ;_;

Yeah she's only being missing or gone for six months according to her father.
Suppose we'll find out Future Spoilers
in the next episode as
Future Spoiler
as it focuses on Korra and her struggles and journey.

Korra lost her mojo. She simply isn't as capable of a bender anymore. That's why she not only got her ass kicked in that match but she has taken a bigger external beating than she ever received from her big bads.

Korra feels totally useless. She can't bend like she used to, the Air Nation and Kuvira are doing her job and her friends abandoned her to pursue better opportunities.

I feel like it makes makes Korra look more realistic than Aang. Aang was a bit too perfect when it mattered.

:(

No, she was in the water tribe, probably received treatment from healers every day.

Can you imagine her living alone, sobbing on a wheelchair ;_;?

I'm sure Katara was there to comfort her as she's got experience in dealing with sad avatars.
I feel really bad for Korra.

I really hope this isn't happening and Kuvira isn't a corrupt leader. The show needs some more morally grey characters.

Is Kuvira Secretly Korra's Sister? Find out on the next Korra La Kill!

The Season Premiere was good.
Well, we all remember the gaze Kuvira gave Korras father...!
lol

It's the last season, I hope they really go ham with the fights. And if they have a kickass song as support, all the better.

This is very clearly what's happening.

This... Is probably what's happening.
That would be really weak.
The earth kingdom is in shatters thanks to the incompetence of the ruling monarchy, organized bandits existed already when the queen was ruling. I think it would be a good point if the bandits were there anyway and Kuvira really trying to get them under control. If they go the setup route, we're again at Amon. I wouldn't like that.

I think she's already morally gray. Think what you will about the
bandits
, but the Earth Kingdom really is in a lot of trouble. I mean, it wasn't that well off to begin with. I think Kuvira is just using this turmoil to her advantage, and truly does believe that she's doing the right thing.

And her methods are actually working and make sense.

Of course they're going to turn out to be totally twisted but we'll see.

I think Kuvira is grey not black. I also think Korra bought into
the red lotus concept of the world not needing the Avatar anymore and has subsequently removed herself from the world.

Hopefully Kuvira will stay grey, unlike Amon.

I feel like it makes makes Korra look more realistic than Aang. Aang was a bit too perfect when it mattered.

TLA showed that the Avatars are Gods, splitting the earth, destroying leaders with no effort, creating masses of water that could destroy entire armies. So I think it makes Korra a bit of a shitty Avatar. The show is bound by TLA but it feels like it doesn't really want to be. The show seriously messed up when they showed that Korra could enter the avatar state at will because it now means that every time she desperately needs it and she doesn't use it she looks dumb. TLA managed the avatar state rather well and took it away from Aang when it would make the show trivial. Korra does the opposite but instead gives her the idiot ball so she never uses it. This is emphasised at the end of the last season when she thinks her father is dead and yet she still doesn't use it nor does it auto trigger from the grief like it did for Aang in early TLA. And she find herself locked up and really needs it but again nothing until the enemy has already poisoned her.

You're right. You can see it in the trailer (spoilers at the link obviously).
She should be a good mentor for Korra now that she's lost her connection to past avatars. Tell stories about the struggles Aang dealt with after the Book 2 finale.

Well, we all remember the gaze Kuvira gave Korras father...!

Going by the music in the first episode I'm expecting it to sound like this.
Which would be awesome.

Avatar State was a big problem, writing wise. Book One was supposed to solve that problem by questioning the power imbalance of a bender, but we all know how that went.

Damn the new episode of Korra seems to be taking a jab at the United State's 'world police' shtick.
Especially with that line about the ore.
