I got a Dead Orbit HC from a drop. Don't even care about joining a faction for gear anymore. Just drop it on me.

Sorry Xur, but I think I'm gonna pass on you this week. Red Death is cool and all, but I'm holding out for a hand cannon. I may buy the Vangaurd one when I get enough marks.
I'm really liking The Devil You Know, no upgrades yet. It's just a very well-crafted, balanced all-around hand cannon. Does the job it is entrusted without issue. It basically doesn't excel in any area but is good in every area, which makes for a great legendary primary.

Best way to level an alt is just to do bounties and quit. When you have to push to higher level areas just do the heroic story missions. Takes about 3ish days using this method and it isn't a huge headache.

Hey, Gaf, I have a idea for a trading system that wouldn't suck
The only limitation for trading between different people(not characters on the same account) is pretty simple but effective
You both have to be friends through PSN/XBL for at least 1 month
While it won't be anything close to trading in an MMO-environment, it would allow true friends to swap gear while blocking the "selling exotic for $50 on ebay" mess

But... it takes a month for PSN to send my friend request..

Yea we definitely need a leveling guide for alt guardians. What gives the most exp in game? Is it bounties? I noticed you can only select bounties on one account which is pretty lame.

Some kind of method for PvE-only players to get Faction gear, at the least, is needed. Crucible marks can literally only be obtained in PvP at the moment and that's a shame

Actually, faction vendors should just accept either Vanguard or Crucible marks for their wares, just like they get all sources of reputation.

I agree, they should accept either mark. It's silly that they don't given the quality of equipment they have (and the amount of equipment). That being said....

At this point, it's fairly trivial to farm materials and do the turn-ins. I am sitting on 200+ spinmetal at the moment, that's a quick 20 Crucible Marks if I wanted.

God dammit in two coins off of getting that Titan Helmet, any suggestions on how to grab some coins this weekend?

Two coins? There's a story mission on Venus that guarantees one strange coin if you haven't completed it yet. It'll give you a mission item to give to rahool and he'll give you the coin. Only can do this once.

Apparently you get a strange coin from doing the gold chest quest on Mars I think. Not sure.

Also, you could do the strike tiger playlist. you have the chance at getting 4 random blue or higher prizes. I get a lot of coins and motes there.

Meehhhhhh rather than going all complicated like a Friend list timegate, if they implement trading, it should just be within the rewards screen after an activity, before continuing on. While on that screen you can offer a swap of what you rolled for with what a fireteam member got and they can accept or decline. Then when you get rewards that you don't want and they do after completing something together, you can just switch immediately.

I forget about the material exchange all the time but... that's 700 spinmetal for one armor piece, seems.... steep.

Yeah, or do like Diablo and only allow trades for up to X hours after acquiring the item and only to people who were in your fireteam when you got the item.

Is the Xur titan helm worth getting or should i risk the engram?

I bought the titan helm and the engram. You can probably guess what I got out of the engram :/ I swear to god Rahool is such a troll. I even got a legendary engram from leveling my cryptarch rank, but Rahool has to turn it into boots for the hunter. Not all bad since I got 3 shards from dismantle.

Anyone else like the pre-patch system better? I was finding way more legendaries and it seemed like I would always get at least 2 legendary engrams per day. Hell, last Saturday I got 5 legendary engrams as drops and idk how many from ranking up crypt level.

what i'd really, really like, is ability to assign consumables to either voice activation (xbox one) or swipe gestures (PS4).
something like "Ghost use three" where slot 3 is an ammo synth or on ps4 heavy ammo synth is assigned to swipe left on touchpad.
Then add an cooldown timer on the ui while the timers active.

Fantasic idea. Making drops tradeable keeps it random so people can't exploit it.

Ugh...that's the Titan helmet I want, but I couldn't be bothered to do the heroic weekly strike this week. No matchmaking is really killing me. (And before you say use Gaf....I can't be bothered to set up a time with other people and take their time)

It is, but it's still not hard. I can show anyone here a ridiculously easy loop on Earth (NOT the Rocketyard) that'll net you 50 spinmetal in no time, plus allow you to do Public Events / bounties.

Thanks for the rundown. I think I'll pick it up as I'm not a fan of the A.F1Whatever Scout Rifle I have currently.

People would still game that system for sure

Thanks buddy, I'll get onto the strikes then.

So when you finish 2nd and have more captures, assists and a better K/D than the guy in 1st he gets better loot than you? And if you're having a rough game you can just quit because the top ranked people will get the loot.

Nah, keep it random. Bungie got this one right. Only thing they could do is increase the number of rewards given out on average. Maybe include materials in the rewards so there are less games where no one gets anything.

I never said the number 1 guy is guaranteed to get better loot than anyone else, I just said they should be guaranteed or have a higher chance of getting something.

I wish the Xbox had a screenshot function. Sometimes I want to post a picture, but getting out my phone and snapping one is a pain.
