I have just enough marks that I could buy the purple vanguard helm which would bump me to lvl 24 and then I could do the queens missions. But I'm not sure I should buy the helm since it's a queens mission reward. I could buy the vanguard arms and legs but wouldn't get nearly the light level boost that the helm would give. What would you do?

I've gotten 4 of those helms already, I'd say do a couple queen bounties then missions and get your helm for free!
 
Just got a nice cryptic dragon, tempted to change gear if the buff comes heh.

The DoT plus the fact that you can basically snipe across the map with it great for PvP if you can aim.

My Hunter just hit 27 and Chain of WOOOOOAH is game changing! I'm leveling up Dead Orbit so I can get the hand cannon reload speed gloves. If they stack with Chain, then I will never unequip Thorn in PvP.

PvE on the other hand is terrible with Thorn. Avoid like the plague.

If you can land precision kills with CoW in Pve it could be viable though. Not ideal, but fun and different.

Nope, the Daily Heroic Story at level 28 gives you 2 materials.

Maybe, but they could just do that instance reset while I'm in hyperspace to the tower. I'm sure people would rather a slightly longer load screen instead of two long load screens. Would let me get up and refresh my drink too without waiting for the first load to finish just for me to pick the tower, and then launch.

Buy a new one, swap good for bad, then return the bad one. Might take a bit of time, but well worth it.

And yes, I know that it's gaming the system to an extent, but it will just get back to Sony like it would under warranty, just saves you on the shipping and time without a controller. If you threw it at the wall because you were mad, that's unethical, but if it's an obvious defect, it shouldn't be your problem.

Yes that is the sole problem I have with the game. Amongst the myriad of flaws, the storytelling, linear environments and missions, shit boss design, RNGesus, lack of crucible variety, jack squat endgame content, the insane grind to 30 with nothing to do after, loads of useless abilities....

Yeah the only thing that stands out to me is the fact that the enemy behavior in a public event is a bit buggy and I can't solo it. Everything else is just fine though.

Maybe after the DLC and some patches we can just press square to complete the public event.

lol are you my brother? He just did this with a chainsaw he abused the hell out of.

Bought a new one and returned the old busted one the next day.

For me personally, I carry around a set for each ( Praxic fire for sunbro and skull of Dire Ahamkara for my void walker). Being able to switch on the fly and have special buff for each is very useful, but it's probably the reason I haven't hit lvl. 28 yet. 1 light away with my sunsinger build and 4 away in my voidwalker.
 
So, do we know if Bungie was talking bout Xur in that tweet about strange coins for this weekend or is it something new?

Or does nobody know and this question is redundant?

Checked all over the internet for that...
No one found this chest, except the guys who were in the video.
Someone posted that he has a friend who watched the stream of those guys and they were apparently talking about photoshopping the chest in.
As long as there are no other players confirming this and there is no video evidence this can be considred fake.

ugh, I'm terrible at this. My void shotgun only has 3 rounds in it and I never seem to get one shot kills sometimes it takes all 3 shots and they still don't die. My void fusion rifle has like the slowest charge time possible so I'm always dead before I can even get a shot off.

I'm currently sitting at 20/500. :/
and that's just from my heavy machine gun kills.

I really need one of those primary weapons from the raid that has void damage because I suck at using secondaries.
 
Anyone up for Nightfall or Heroic weekly strike in an hour ish? 3:30 pacific. I'd rather crush these than slog through them solo.

I am having fun with this game. Everything you might say may might be true. But I have a friend's list full of real life friends and gaffers that play.

I enjoy Crucible like no tomorrow. Control and Rumble being my favorites
I enjoy the dailies missions (Heroic difficulty all the way)

Starting up an alt too. So whenever I get a class piece for another Class its' all good. It will either be sharded and given to an alt

Yeah that public event is buggy. But I use destinypublicevents.com to help. Granted, I usually avoid public events. I prefer the Daily heroics, Nightfall, & Heroic weeklies
 
And I spent my coins on some armour which I then dismantled for shards. >_>

Could there be another member from the Agent of the Nine?
 
Alright, Athean's Epilogue is fully upgraded. I'm ready to do this shit.

It's like Hunger Games (you know when you first enter an arena). Running for that thing is like begging to be backstabbed. I make sure I have a solid plan when I go after it or just ambush the poor guy that got it
