It's make for a seriously special moment tho when you drop in and are heading to a raid or something and you end up running with a group of like 9 or 10 people tho. It's rare enough that im never bothered about there not being stuff to kill or whatever but watching a wave of Guardian death sweep through the entire public space of mars or whatever is amazing.

Shadows of Mordor can't keep my attention away from this game. Just not enjoying it at all.
Disappointing about matchmaking. Doesn't look like it's coming to the other modes anytime soon.

Yeah one of my friends has it too. He already amazing at the PVP, so giving him that is just making it even worse. Most of the time when we play, the other players just quit before the match is over haha.
Whhaaatt how far are you? I've put like 20 hours into that game already...

It has always bugged me how people expect to be rewarded for being good at pvp, with items that make them better at pvp. So essentially those that are already at an advantage get an even bigger advantage. It makes no sense at all.
If people were really concerned about showing off their skill wouldn't they want to do well with lesser weapons than other people? If they really were serious about their skill being rewarded they would be fine with getting skins that have no effect on gameplay, while people with less skill had better weapons.
Oh that's right, they don't want to be rewarded for their skill, they want bullying tools.

Unless I'm reading it incorrectly, he did. You can gain rep from other factions if you have their gear equipped, even in SP.
I must be a glutton for punishment. Shelved my 26 Titan and made a hunter and warlock. Got the warlock to 24 since I had gear waiting for him. Enjoying him but keep going back to my Titan and trying to enjoy him. Now I'm thinking of spending all my coins for the defender helm while I don't like defender much. I need help.

I got some decent sessions in last night and this morning. Did the weekly heroic on 28 with friends, daily on 28 with a friend last night and solo today and finally had enough strange coins to get my first exotic with the Sunbreakers.
Also got a legendary shotgun (Invisible Hand M7) and machine gun (The Swarm). One came from a blue engram drop and the other from a care package for hitting vanguard level 4. So I finally got the trophy for having legendary or better in all slots. Also picked up the exotic bounty for the fusion rifle and got my Shadow Price fully leveled.

However you can't buy the items without CRUCIBLE MARKS. Vanguard Marks don't mean anything for factions which is what upsets people.
You already have your verdict it seems, but I will still say my take on it anyway:
I am someone who doesn't like pulse rifles yet the game gave me Red Death and three legendary pulse rifles off legendary engrams very early. I also made Bad Juju because someone said it was solar damage and I didn't bother looking it up.
Red Death hands down the best one between them all. The healing effect saved me so many times already and with the upgrades, you can actually do a good amount of damage with it. It always felt like it had a heavier kick to it than any other pulse rifles due to the mid-high impact and high caliber bullets. Trying it in PvP right now, and the healing effect is so good, but you have to aim for heads most of the time to down people in two clicks.
The only issue is the firing rate, which makes Suros more reliable for the VOG. Still, I'm going back to my RD now that it is fully upgraded to see how the damage compares.
Bad Juju in comparison is fun for farming trash mobs, but I don't think that it is usable on heavy stuff for me at all... The impact is so low right now. At least not with how many other options I got.
Obviously, if you hate pulse rifles, think twice before spending that much coins. I didn't think it was worth it because I had no idea that the utility is so useful until I got it off an engram.

Cryptarch may have been taken out back and shot and replaced by a kinder doppelganger, but the new guy is still pissing me off. I've only found one legendary engram since the patch, and he turned it into shards. Then I bought the helmet engram from Xur again this week and got the same one I got last week, which is for a Hunter which I don't like playing as. So more shards.

By opened up, I thought the person asking the question was asking why PvE players can't buy anything from the factions with Vanguard marks even though factions take vanguard rep.

You need crucible marks to buy anything from factions, which can only be earned in PvP.
