If you quit too early too often, you are punished. Only first person that quits gets it counted against them. Quitting too often could put a timer locking you out of MM raids for a while. Quitting even more could lock you out for the week. Constantly quitting every week could ban you from MM raids.

How early is too early?

Only first person that quits? :lol

So I'm a level 6, tried the Crucible for the first time and I'm matched up against all players 27-29? So there isn't any balancing?

Yes. The raid is generally not completable if you are missing a person. One person leaving basically kills the raid unless somebody is subbed in. That would be unfair to punish those only quitting because the first quitter made it impossible.

Just did 10 straight level 24 Vanguard strikes and got about 30 blue engrams which the Cryptarch decrypted all of them into Blue garbage.

Then for ranking him up, the gracious Cryptarch gifts to me in the Postmaster...
more Blue garbage

One of my fireteam members got a Legendary Sniper, and the other got some Strange Coins.

Am cry

Just ran the raid again, got nothing but shards and energies until Atheon and then I only got a ship and rocket launcher. Now the wait until reset to see if I can actually get some gear...

You know how long the raid takes, right? Why should someone be punished because they didn't have time to complete it?

uh? No.

people won't "call nerfs", and even if they do I'm not sure why bungie is going to listen to them. ?? Are they nerfering the stuff that should be nerfed? No, so why would they nerf something that shouldn't even be nerfed.

strike bosses ARE bullet sponges. they have 2 moves and they use only that, in every fight there is no strategy. you're just hiding, shooting, hiding again, shooting minions that come out and then repeat until the boss is dead.
awful mechanichs, 0 variety and inventive, lazy development. might be fun the first time but since you're supposed to do the same strikes 20 times each if you want better gear, marks, rep etc. then yeah, it's not fun at all.

People definitely would call for nerfs. It happens all the time. And we've already seen Bungie change the way engrams work due to complaints and they have plans for adjust incoming and outgoing damage to Strike bosses.

Are you insinuating the complaints about the amount of content and story are misplaced?

I'm not insinuating anything but I love how you're trying to attribute a controversial opinion to me as if that's somehow relevant to the conversation. The point is that when people don't like something, they tend to voice their opinions quite loudly and they can and do influence changes whether or not those changes are necessary. This happens all the time in games, especially MMOs, and has in the past resulted in hastening if not causing the death of games.

I got a raid chest piece, Vision of Confluence and Ice Breaker the first time I did the raid, and that was just the final two parts in the final room. I've done 3 bosses individually and a separate full raid run with chests and have only gotten materials.

Bungie making changes to complains doesn't mean they will change things over every complaint. This is slippery slope logic at its worst.

It teaches you not to join MM if you don't have time. Perhaps build MM options for "only playing up to X area" and players won't be punished for quitting after that and can do another MM session to start from there later.

If enough people complain, you'd better believe they'd make changes. The survival of their IP and profitability overall trump creative decisions. It's a business and they have obligations.

The raid has been available long enough that anyone who wanted to do it by now has. If anyone is going to complain, they would be an extreme minority, not even worth listening to. If anything, the raid is too easy.

My exotic/legendary weapons, still can't believe I managed to get my 3 most wanted guns.

If Bungie addresses X problem, Y problem may occur.

Bungie will for some reason be obligated to address Y problem, which will create Z problem.

For some reason, Bungie won't do anything about Z problem.

This is your logic. It's silly. If Bungie can say no to fixing X problem, they can choose to fix X problem and say no to fixing Y problem.

Cleared normal raid on Tuesday. Nothing but shards and energy. Cleared everything on hard mode except final boss so far. Nothing but shards and energy.
You're not alone . That's all I have gotten. Hopefully we get something good from Athean. Who am I kidding, we so gonna get Ass Shards/Energy.
