If enough people complain, you'd better believe they'd make changes. The survival of their IP and profitability overall trump creative decisions. It's a business and they have obligations.

You're assuming that everyone would flock to the raid, do horribly and call foul for a nerf for what has been described... time and again ... as the hardest end game challenge in the entire world.

No they would not nerf it. And i might actually get a chance to experience the content in the game that i spent 60 bucks on.

I get it that you can get on gaf or reddit or lfg or whatever and hunt for a group but .. guess what.. some of the best strikes groups i've had so far in this game have been with two people that i couldn't talk to and didn't know. The no chat part of that would be broken in the raid BUT one of the guys i work with who is also playing destiny had an idea that i had to face palm about it was so simple and obvious.

Make it so a full 3 man strike team and match make to another 3 man strike team in queue to do the raid. Problem solved.

To say that "well bungie bent over from all the complainers about the cryptarch and engrams so of course they would ruin the raid too" is kind of ridickeydonkey. The RNG loot cryptarch ass pounding NEEDED fixing. The raid, obviously, does not.

I still see no positive of the Raids having no matchmaking. If people go in and are running all over the place not talking and not helping each other and not playing the objective and wipe... they aren't gonna blame the raid. They are gonna blame each other... and that's fine.

Yeah, ok. I play with randoms every week and complete it.

Yah no shit. this right here... what in the hell is the difference between spending and hour trying to find 5 complete strangers to play with on reddit and just getting a match making setup>?

zero sense.

Again, from where. NeoGAF randoms are not the same as a true random from a matchmaking situation. Same with DestinyLFG.

Random as in, I was randomly invited by someone to a group and accepted, than completed the raid on hard with no trouble with a bunch of people I don't know at all.

It's the same. You can try to rationalize how matchmaking is inherently inferior compared to other methods of grouping, but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter, because randoms will come together and succeed or fail regardless. I'm not going to argue all night about matchmaking, the only reason to be against matchmaking is if you have a vendetta against "filthy casuals" daring to even attempt content not specifically aimed for them because they don't have time to form groups at a reasonable hour, or commit to long sessions of gameplay.

"What's the difference between hand selecting a card vs randomly choosing one from a deck?"

Did the 4 people that invited you know each other?

It's not fine. Bungie has no customer support / GM's to assist or deal with complaints. It's an added cost for them.

People on Reddit or NeoGAF are far more motivated and skilled, on average, than the normal person who has no idea these sites exist. It's not a fair comparison.

BTW, I do think matchmaking for Raids will come....when we outgear them. I don't think it'll be for current content.

If matchmaking is added for Vault, which I think it should, there should be a disclaimer added. Something that says, "please set aside a couple hours of your time for this content" or something like that. Also, need to be min. light lvl 26 to enter matchmaking IMO.

Bungie needs to ensure chat is enabled for all matchmaking first before implementing this though. I couldn't imagine how things like, relic holder/portals etc. would be worked out without chat since no text option is available like standard MMO's.

Matchmaking for dailies/weeklies/nightfall should be a given though. Give the option to MM with randoms or play solo if desired, would make things so much easier and social. Isn't that what you want Bungie?

Xur's stuff is completely shit.

There is nothing left to do for a non-Raider like myself. I don't like PvP either. All of my shit is maxed and besides doing the off quick bounty or Daily, there is nothing left now. 90 hours and I can finally say... this game is the same shit on the way to 20 past 20. Baring the Raid of course, which is not available to everyone.

You consider throwing a "27 hunter lfg West coast PS4" post up on LFG" hand picking ?

You don't know these people. Never played with them before. Never talked to them before. It's just as random.

LoL "gaffers are totally better than other gamers. It's science, meng" ... k.

And just because someones wants to caller 420hunterkiller a pile of garbage online doesn't mean they are gonna flock to report a player. Yes, it is fine. You matchmake, you understand that it's not your best friends your playing with. You roll the dice... fuck... Destiny should be all about it.

I don't have an agenda against "filthy casuals" and to even suggest it is an amusing way to counter. Also, you just got a random invite? In the Tower?

Where did THEY meet? Did some guy round up 5 other randoms in the tower?

The people who can do the raid are people who spent hours playing this game. THey farm marks, brought stuff from xur and played a bunch of pvp. They are the same as the people one reddit and neogaf. Just because they dont have the time to set up a time to play or have no friend dosent mean they should miss out on a huge part of the game.

Unless you're the one picking and choosing, it's probably someone else inviting you and 4 other random people. It's basically the same as randomly choosing 5 cards in deck. You don't know those people.

2 of them knew each other. What's the point? Still random. How about 2 people group up and go into matchmaking together? Chance of success DOUBLED!

But you are still playing with random people.

That's true, but at least here you know not everyone can make an account, and we all have relatively similar interests and whatnot. Plus there is at least a small degree of accountability in that if I play with someone here and they are a jerk I can post and warn others or reccomend people that are more enjoyable to play with.

Not true. I have several real life friends who are 26 and 28 and a third who's 24 and rising. They have no clue about half the stuff people here, do. One tried to solo Vault without understanding how to open the place.

And wouldn't it have been nice if a random level 28 could have explained it to him and spread some knowledge.

I did after I found out (and I'm 29, thanks ;D ).

What's your point? Random matchmaking doesn't fix that, random matchmaking has people yelling at him for being an idiot.

Just received my 8th Exotic Bounty, literally all 8 times it has been the same 3 options of Invective, Bad Juju and Thorn. Holy shit game fucking please give me anything else for goddamn's sake.

Says you. I can't tell you how many games i've played in the past with random people who have been exceptional teachers and really fantastic teamates.

Shit... half the friends I have on my friends list are people that i played against in the crucible or in a strike or something and they randomly added me because we were able to come together so well without even having voice chat enabled...

I dunno. I can feel your hatred for humanity through the screen!!

I wasn't saying you specifically had a vendetta, but more that any reason to exclude it basically boils down to nonsense. I have no idea how they met. I asked if it was for a raid, and one guy said hard mode.

I've raided for 7 years. Average everyday people aren't inept.

And how did those 2 find the others? Yes I'm asking exactly how the group formed.

I don't know, I don't probe others. I really didn't care enough to ask.

My daughter calls the gear distributed at the end of a match "prizes", instead of "rewards". Given that the loot is distributed at random, that seems more apt. "I won a prize, woo!"

Gunsmith is selling a rare fusion rifle, in case anyone needs them for the bounty.

Also has Shingen-E.

Edit: Beaten on previous page. Lol

What I said is true, in order to get to those level you must play hour of the game. SO what If your friend didn't know how to open the vault he would look it open like most people do.

I will cry tears of joy the day I finally get an Ice Breaker. My best friend got one the first time we did a nightfall, I was pretty jealous but I got nice exotic armor so I couldn't complain too much. Congrats on getting it twice though, might as well stick it in your Vault if you plan on making an alt.
