PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | October 2014

In the accessory section :(

That's how Wal-Mart rolls - they jam consoles and accessories into the bottom row (stock storage, not even supposed to be for display) of their glass cabinets to both protect them and make sure nobody sees them.

Edit; TOTP

Buy OlliOlli and get good at it so you're ready for OlliOlli 2 next year. =)

That was already said around time of the PS4 release. They lost the middleware and I'm not sure they have any sort of sane exit strategy for the codebase. Not sure what, if anything, has happened since.

This really saddens me. I really enjoyed Road Not Taken on ps4 but vita is such a better fit for it imho. Need to get back to it either way... I'll probably just remote play it.

Once Natural Doctrine is finished, obviously... which won't be for quite awhile I think. Man I love this game. I'm not sure I ever spent this much time/energy planning each move and developing new strategies.

So I want to transfer all the stuff on my current card onto my pc so I can put it on my new card when it arrives. What's the best way to preserve the na locked games that I have on there? Is back up the proper option to use?

Actually no, all the other consoles (including 3DS) are in another cabinet, only the Vita is in the accessories.

And yes now that I think about it, that's sad as hell. I was too happy about seeing Vitas in stock to notice their location (sob)

Anything already downloaded to your account is safe to transfer to and from PC.

As for the backup options, the full backup method seems to be a bit more glitchy than the manual package backup option.

Thanks for the info. Would the full back up allow me to use the ps1 crash and spyro games that sony allowed in na for a limited time on the new card?

Damnit..cause I am trying to decide between a 1K or a 2K (don't have a vita)..I found a 2K I would get which requires buying a memory card.

https://www.nippon-yasan.com/playst...ht-pink-white-wi-fi-version-pch-2000za19.html

Just need to find a 1K to try to decide....

If you're going to import, you can check superufo.com too as they have better prices.
Here's the black/pink: http://superufo.com/products/psvita...Fi__PCH_2000__Pink_Black___Japan_Version.html

Site's ugly but they're legit.

edit: oh you want the white/pink, my bad. superufo doesn't have then yet it seems.

Every time I listen to (early tracks of) the DR soundtrack I feel guilty that I haven't finished the game, yet. Though to be fair, it's all due to six great games coming out at once, who wouldn't get distracted? Anyway, I should power through the rest this weekend. We'll see..

Yea its a preorder thing..november. I don't plan to buy til December anyways. I live in Taiwan but I will consider superufo..any good 1K deals?

I don't really think you can find a new OLED model for a decent price.
And they don't have pretty colors c:

Talking about maybe a console + card type thing..

Cause sure the light pink is awesome but that bundle which I thought was a 1K has a 16GB card.

if any one in Southeast Asia GAF is reading this, wanna go for GameStart Asia together?
apparently there are playable demos for Bloodborne, The Order, Until Dawn, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and many Vita titles too (Freedom Wars, God Eater 2, Hatsune Miku – Project DIVA F 2nd, THE LEGEND OF HEROES SEN NO KISEKI I, and more)

created an OT but no one cares

Hay guys, I have a question about Sony Rewards :). I used my credit cart to get me 140-ish points to get a 10 PSN code....but when it was checked out, it only said my order was in review :l. I never had this happen to me before when using SR (as every time I ordered something, I got the PSN code right away).

I want to get Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill and Sudiken before the sale ends (which would be Tuesday afternoon) so I would appreciate is anyone how uses SR to tell me if this type of thing is new or how long the order will really come :(. Any advice would be nice :D.

Did get Castlevannia though (figured sending five dollars extra would be good; in total if the order does go through before the sale ends, I would be getting....four games for 6+ dollars instead of 15 bucks :D) and I can't wait to try it out. Everyone calls SotN a classic for a reason after all XD!

Talk about being paranoid.

This is a very special case. It's not like sudenly people will start to cancel their games on Vita, specially if the game is made on Unity.

Maybe, and I hope that you are right but to my knowledge we still haven't seen any Vita footage for games like Helldivers, Galak-z and Hand of Fate and these are games that have had playable ps4 builds on several gaming conventions(?).

Just got Demon Gaze. For anyone that's played it does it have a decent story? Or is it just dungeon crawling?

It has a supporting cast who will have story related events every now and then when you complete a dungeon and such, so it is story driven more than other titles anyways. But dont expect something along a more mainstream JRPG though.

Am sure the colorful cast should keep you amused lol.

For the most part that's due to small teams and a one platform focus before moving on to the next as that's the most efficient production cycle for these developers..

I asked this before, but anyone played Battle Princess of Arcadias? I might just buy because of the art style. They look all jelly and squishy!

If you can get it cheap, around $20, then sure. I got attracted to the art style, and thought I could get another Odin's Sphere experience but by NISA. Was disappointed. It's not a bad game, but I always have the feeling "it could have been better" for everything they did in the game, be it the animation, gameplay, characters. It has unique battle system, but you will feel like they could polish it a bit more throughout the game. Also around 20 - 25 hours to beat the game.

Personally, I think it's an okay game. Just don't expect something like Odin's Sphere or Dragon's Crown.

NepReb is adorable. I'm in love, years after I played the first game.

You're in for the treat.

That reminds me I should probably pick up some older stuff I meant to look at some day due to the $100 -> $15 dealy.

If you are really, really bored, by all means, but if you are not save your money. As personally its a game that you can literally say "it looks like a game made in flash"

I had the JP one paid full price for it and dear god did I regret that.

Showing off a PS4 build at a convention is far more practical than a Vita build.

Most indie games these days are made in Unity, which has a special partnership with Sony, so there is no reason to worry about it suddenly halting Vita support the way the Road Not Taken devs got screwed with their middleware.

Oh hey didn't you buy multiple copies of soul sacrifice delta? I wanted to know if you still had the art book?

I played the Vita version all the way through in the SP (pre and post patch) and had these issues:
-Horrible presentation for a modern game (menus, UI, cockpit view).
-Glitches everywhere.
-Terrible cutscenes.
-Poor graphics for a game that started development targeting Vita and PC.
-Forgettable story.
-Bad AI (even the so called "aces" just lazily floated around barely hitting me). You know your space shooter has bad AI when turrets pose more of a threat than your enemy space ships.
-Needless energy allocation (most of the time, the default set up is good enough).
-Thoughtless customization (most of the upgrades are basically their predecessors, but more powerful and expensive. I was hoping stuff like the Seige Cannons would actually be different from the plasma cannons).

And back before the patch, the customization menu was basically broken and the intro cutscene was unskippable, which really didn't help improve my initial impressions of the game.

The music and variety of ships was nice at least.

I don't disagree with any of the things in that list, but I still think that they are on to something and I would love to see them get another chance as I like the design of the game.

I think that they lack the experience in graphics, narative design and programing to match the ambition of their design. My reason for this is that the PC version don't look that much better (even the boxart have the same lighting) than the vita version and the fact that their first vita patch was so big and that the next patch will reduce the size of the game).

I hope that enough people will buy the game (across all platforms) so they can afford to hire more experienced writers and animators for their next game. :)

Edit: what I liked with the game was the sound/music, the feeling of presense in the world and the controls. I also unlike you really liked the way you could shift around power to shields, repair, engine etc. I also liked all the different equipment and weapons that you can buy to alter your ship and the variation of the missions.

With that said I wished that they had made the combat more slow and strategic though, for example I would have liked if some of the ships in the game had one shield for each side and that you had to bring them down first before you could start to break it (think of it in the way you approaches the bigger monsters in Toukiden).

If you click on the gif it'll send you to the trailer. The game just looks like another cheaply made anime tie-in visual novel. But hey, it's a Konami game on Vita that isn't baseball related. We haven't had one of those since 2012.

It's an if-story cash in VN but it's also the only way fans will get the conclusion they've been wanting (the manga has been dragging on and on). Although it doesn't even contain the latest heroine from the manga ( ´_ゝ`)
