Could someone tell me the current grinding spots? I just need a bunch of Platsteel plating so easy greens/blues are what I need.

Go farm a material

You will kill 4 birds with one stone
Do the loop/route of said material you are farming, pop as many chests, you will earn enough green weapons/gear to dismantle
In a hour you gain at least +50 to each
Also you get materials out of chests + glimmer + engrams + ship blueprints
Also pick up patrol missions and do the kill in area or kill grab said material they drop or assassination, you don't want to go do the scouting missions (grab them, then cancel them, so the mission marker can refresh to something else next time it spawns)

So Materials from weapons/gear + Materials from Planet (of Choice) + Glimmer + Engrams + Kill Counter+ for Grimorie (which also has bonuses once you reach certain thresholds)

I think Hunters are just as useful, but maybe I just haven't seen a Hunter used well. Strikers seem pretty useless, and Defender's shields are handy for revives, but so are Bladedancer's invisibility abilities. I'd rank Bladedancers significantly above Defender's, personally.
the bubble shield isn't even best used for revives... weapons of light is pretty invaluable in the raid, and the respawn delays make it quite a bit tougher to use the stealth revive as frequently. bladedancers are incredibly helpful in nightfalls though.

Being at that level, while successfully completing the raid at least once, along with having the buff given by Nightfall.

Some folks and myself received a trophy for completing VoG on hard. Only 0.1% of PS4 players it seems got it.

I've been so wrapped up in my own things, I often thought folks were on the same page as myself or doing way better. But then I stopped and realized that my perception was wrong.

I thought we were playing hard mode again tonight. You already beat it?

This dude knows what's up.

Bladedancer Hunters are also the best thing for the hard raid phase before fighting Atheon where you need to get the two relics. You go in pop fully upgraded Gjallahorns on that motherfucking gatekeeper and pop the bladedancer super with invisibility and pick up the relic and leave. You are done in like a minute with each portal.

I still love you Croft that you thought of this idea.

I was using golden gun on the gatekeepers but that's brilliant.

The exotic weapons are often OP in PvP. This much is unquestionable. I'm fine with it though.
I guess it would be hard to question that exotics are "often" OP until we define "often"... most exotics are trash in PVP. There are a few that stand out over guns in their class like Hawkmoon and Suros, can't argue with that, at least it gives value to the process of obtaining them.

My dispute is with people who think fusion rifles are broken, exotic or otherwise. Unless you guys are playing top flight competition all the time, you really can't argue that something is broken just because you can't deal with it.

Looks like I need to work on my invisibility skills. I tried it a few times and it felt like the baddies could still see me. I'd shoot, and pop right out of invisibility. After that, I kind of gave up on in and switched to something else in the tree.

This is what my hunter thinks of titan supers

A strategy that let's me go Bladedancer? This is an incredible idea.

Yeah, I haven't seen Weapons of Light used effectively yet. I've heard it's good, though!

Haha, that sounds amazing.

I actually feel pretty bad that so many people won't experience what is essentially the best part of the game. The raid completion percentages are pretty shocking.

Im on Gaf and i still haven't done the raid just because it's so hard to get mself and 5 other on the same schedule

Just wondering if my lvl 25 character is able to do the raid or nightfall strikes?
VoG is rated as lvl26 but from what i've read it seems nails. do i need to gear up some more? or will it be a good experience to run it?

Soooo has any group beaten the raid without dying yet? Even on normal? This is the hardest platinum/1000 gamerscore I think I've ever seen.

Someone on Twitter was saying you have to use different elements against different types of shields? a) how would you learn that anyway as there's no real manual or tutorial and b) how do you know what weapons to use against what shields?

Well, I figured this not long ago but shields have different color : orange, blue, purple.
Same as the "elements" on some weapon, so, when you shoot a shield, you watch its color and then switch to the approriate weapon.
You'll notice that when you shoot with the appropriate element the damage is in the damage done (numbers) is the same color as the shield.
The shield wears of pretty fast this way.

I'm almost lvl 29. Just got my first exotic bounty.
A light in the dark
Toland's legacy
Dubious Task

which one, neogaf ?

Invective is the best of the three, at the moment.

I've got Bad Juju as well as Invective and once you get String of Curses on Juju it's pretty awesome.

Not a fan of Thorn though.

We should have but we didn't. In the end, we beat that phase and that's all that matters.

Note to self:
Befriend some Bladedanicng Hunters.

Can you and fig play tonight? I thought up a new strategy for being Atheon. We won't have to worry about the bubble that we have to break through anymore. Well we won't have to worry about getting blown up by the squidwards in the bubble anyways.

Yup. Took a few good tries though. The normal raid is easy as shit with a good group though. The only parts you can fuck up are the jumping and gorgon stealth sections.

This is kind of Video Games 101. See shield color, use elemental weapon of that color. Though I'll admit that it took me a bit to realize what was going on too, and Bungie should have made mention of it at SOME point in the game.

Yeah, I'm up for it. Bunta beat it too but he said he could help out. I'm not sure if Zoba (Twilight) is joining us. I hope he does.

You get purples for every level of vanguard rep just like factions, correct?

Yeah, but it can be anything of Legendary tier.

Rank 3 I had a Legendary Pulse Rifle, Rank 4 some ass mats and Rank 5 I had two Legendary armor prices, a strange coin and some ass shards.
