Yeah, relic iron is a pain. Thankfully I just finished the rest I needed for my boots. Now I need to level my helmet and get some helium.

Relic Iron is actually the fastest IMO. Look on youtube for the chest farming route in the scablands.

Relics are easy, if you're running in the Cabal vs. Vex circle at the start of the Patrol area.
It takes a while for those chests to spawn. Helium is a lot faster, IMO. The only way it would be faster is if you use the crossing the zone border trick.

Great, now I have 3 exotic bounties taking space in my damn inventory.
-Been working on Pocket Infinity for almost 2 weeks probably. Just need one fusion rifle to dismantle and I'm not getting any blue ones anymore. Don't want to dismantle a legendary either. I hate this.
-Have to kill Xyor for Thorn. That void kill step was bad enough. Tried this last night with two friends and we got fucked up.
-Just got the bounty for Super Good Advice and I can't even finish it until Xur is here so I have to wait for days. :/
The worst part is I'm not even going to use any of these ever. But after I complete these I'll have done all the exotic bounties in the game, I believe. I've got too many exotics as is, and none of them are what I really want. Give me the Last Word/Hawkmoon!

If you slowly pull the trigger with a handcannon, the hammer and the cylinder slowly pull back and rotate. Kinda cool. Hadn't noticed before.

That's the area I stay in to farm relics. The chest spawn time varies for me. Sometimes they spawn quite fast. Other times, they take their sweet time spawning.

It is an absolute beast of a weapon. I use it over my vex mythoclast for the majority of the raid on hardmode. The reason that it is good is due to it's range compared to any other primary. I stay very far back for all phases of the templar fight and it is the best weapon to use at range besides a sniper rifle. Like you said, it is also pretty decent at killing oracles... with the added bonus of actually having ammo left over to damage the boss.
It is also great for solar burn queen's missions and nightfall strikes. It deals with wizards and shielded shanks with a handful of bullets.
Edit: I also chose to go with the bigger 27 bullet clip over stability as I found that it's fairly manageable already.

There are some pretty good tips of dealing with Xyor a few pages back in this thread. I have the Thorn bounty but still am on the 500 kils part (which is poop), but I'll likely solo the Xyor requirement from that Strike's cheese spot in the room before where the Shrieker spawns. If you've got more than one person to do that bit with all the better since it'll go faster.

I usually farm a chest the respawns pretty quickly in the cave thats to the right. But its not collected anywhere near at the same rate as the others.
What about getting to first loot box?IMO there's no way a 28 should do it. It would just prevent the group from completing it
This game... just can not belive it. Not only since the patch i got 2 purple engrams for rewards in vanguard tiger strike, but i just did a strike in wich one of the guys had his stick wedged for backward movement and probobly left the room so me and my friend completed the strike just for the lolz. Time comes for the rewards and guess what both of us get some shit and the guy that got 0 kills 1 death got a purple primary engram. No comment.

I've never even seen the gunsmith sell rare guns. Its usually green crap.
