Nope. That would irk some developers who possibly couldn't get their games to that level on the system without major compromises and ruin the relationship some have with Sony.
You're currently posting on an internet forum for video games. Did you know? You act like NeoGaf is an actual representation of the real world. Yeah, all 10 million PS4 owners the world over are just fuming mad... fuming! lol you guys need to step out of the basement.
Speak for yourself. Why are you even here than? You act like NeoGaf is an actual representation of the real world. Yeah, all 10 million PS4 owners the world over are just fuming mad... fuming! lol you guys need to step out of the basement.
Something on r/XboxOne that I thought was interesting:
"We decided to lock them at the same specs to avoid all the debates and stuff."
What I'm saying is that it's easier if both versions look the same for Ubisoft. This way, both versions look and play great.
The PS4 guys who actually care about this are in a very small minority.
Watch Dogs - Disrupt
Assassin's Creed - Anvil Next
Done.

This is one of the dumbest false equivalencies I've read in a while.

This is the same dumb argument people had when the whole "NoDRM" and earlier issues with resolution were going on. Those issues went "mainstream" very quickly.
How does it look fun?
Serious question since I read the previews and saw the gameplay...am I missing something?

But the PS4 version can look and play better. Why let the Xbox One hold it back? What I'm saying is that it's easier if both versions look the same for Ubisoft. This way, both versions look and play great.

I seriously don't understand this. Why not be the voice for Gamers, and the industry in a positive way, instead of thrashing them?
You don't think their engines share tech? It's a incredible coincidence that both games happen to the only two games that are 900p and 30fps on PS4.

If you don't think there are plenty of gamers who chose PS4 this gen because it is the stronger of the three current gen consoles, I don't know what to tell you. If developers are going to negate a reason a lot of gamers moved from 360 to PS4 and their whole reason is just so there wouldn't be a debate, isn't that kinda shitty?
And a debate has definitely happened.
Seeing as how the hashtag is rapidly declining in popularity, it seems those who are upset about this have already had their say. This in no way is going to be as "mainstream" as the PS4NoDRM event.

The PS4 was $100 cheaper then the X1. That is the reason people have chose the console. Power means nothing, as we saw with the Wii.
This is off topic though.

Hmm... Something tells me that didn't quite play out as planned...

I call BS on some of those:
It bugs me that more games don't use the integrated 1080p camera because it's an expensive option on PS4. Yeah. Like titanfall, Sunset overdrive, Halo MCC, Forza horizon ....Wait.
It bugs me that more games don't have snappable companion apps because PS4 doesn't have snap. And exactly how many Xbox exclusives have companion apps?[
It bugs me that more games don't use dedicated servers because the cross-platform costs would be too high. How many multiplatform games use dedicated servers period?
But no, I didn't go nuts.
But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
They just showed a tendency to diminish the value of the PS4 I bought a year ago by paying developers to make, not Xbox's console/gaming experience better, but mine worse. It's happened at least twice (that I'm upset about) in the previous few months, and I strongly suspect this is it happening for a third time.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
You're currently posting on an internet forum for video games. Did you know?
I don't whine because my GTX 660 won't make a game look as good as someone's GTX 780 or whatever. I accept it and enjoy whatever I'm playing on whatever setting I have to settle for
Something on r/XboxOne that I thought was interesting:
Because not all gamers care about frame rate and resolution.
I use IGN for my news mostly. Almost none of those editors give a fuck about FPS unless its absolutely broken like Borderlands 2 vita.
Their readers also do not care. Their top comments are mostly, "who the fuck cares, this is only flamebait" whenever IGN posts a framerate/resolution article.
Neogaf is the first place I have ever seen it being a big deal.
If the framerate is not broken like Skyrim PS3, I don't care if it is 60 or 30.
Resolution doesn't matter to me either. I am a university student. I didn't buy a monitor for "crisp lush visuals". I bought a monitor so I can see my god damn video games. I didn't buy a PS4 for 60FPS only gaming or 1080p standard resolution. I bought one because thats where all the games are going to be.

If only MS could keep their shit in the direction of those who bought their console I would be very pleased. Instead, their focus seems to be on gimping the other console.

lol, somebody even made a French version.
Good for you. But to many of us here on Neogaf do care.Because not all gamers care about frame rate and resolution.

After a lot of complaining there will be a patch that enables 1080p on PS4 no doubt.

There's a general commonality in regards to the people that seem to be OK with this. I'll give you one guess as to what that is...

Right on cue.
Ign doing damage control as well, jesus.
