I was in New Orleans last week for a couple of days. Amazing city, absolutely loved it. Such a breeze to move around the downtown area and so much to see. Didn't get a chance to do any plantation or swamp tour, sadly.

I did have a chance to snap some pics one day when going for a walk.

Can't wait to go back there in the future.

Smattering of new shots:

The beach and pier shots there are really beautiful!

I remember standing on the Parthenon grounds there back in 98 and looking out at the low lying city of Athens that stretches forever through the pollution haze that day and thinking it looked like a crazy unreal Hollywood matte painting.

Here are 5 from Kotor

a few from this afternoon, update this post later in dota match atm

EDIT: am taking an intro level photography class, our assignment was to take pictures of flowers. I don't like flowers so I figured I would take pictures of people taking pictures of flowers, trying to be a little candid.

Also was able to try out photoshop for the first time, first image is something I did really quick in cameraRAW.

Things haven't changed in the slightest since then.

So, about 2 years ago I got myself a budget DSLR for pretty cheap. I got a Sony A65 along with a couple lenses. I've never really been able to travel much out of my city (Miami) and can barely travel around my city (and I really don't feel like taking pictures of buildings and whatever other shit you find in this city).

I'm just wondering what some of you guys that can't travel much take pictures of. It gets frustrating sometimes because I walk out of my house with my camera and it's just mostly houses.

Maybe I should start shopping my photos to add a little bit of something to them.

It would be really great if anyone can look at some of my photos on my Flickr and talk shit about them.

Just remember I am a total amateur.

ever tried geocaching? you can find awesome places near you to take pictures

Your pictures are nice, you do a pretty good job with your camera

Traveling to New York city for a 4 day vacation next month, I'm going to go crazy taking pictures. First time traveling anywhere in 11 years. I am excited.

Looking through the interwebs. Came across someone's IG video where he used this to scan a full roll of 35mm in one go.

Seems like these were being used at one-hour photo developing places and are now being found online for about 300 bucks.

Also saw this on youtube. It's a tank where you can develop your film without a darkroom.

A Guy I chat to on twitter has one of those pakon scanners, very good by all accounts. juts wish there was a cheap 120 option. The jobo drums are good but a dark bag and a patterson tank is good enough to get you processing in daylight.

First batch of photos from me having an ACTUAL camera, and I must say they do look nicer as a result. Unfortunately it was a cloudy day (As it will be for some time :/) so lighting wasn't super great, but I still like the shots.

I'm still very much new to this, and would love if anyone has any tips they could give me.
Ugh please don't tell me those are all broken images. One sec.

I was in NOLA for 4 days and outside of the constant moist-vomit smell emanating from Bourbon street, I had a great time walking around and taking pictures. That Andrew Jackson statue seems to attract photobugs, haha.
