It had the "buy" option for $49.99 enabled.

And when I tried to do the "Volskwagon Challenge" or whatever it said "prioritizing DLC download" or some nonsense.. and then did nothing.

I paid for it.

But.. it turns out.. I had already paid for it.

Sony goofed and charged me twice; and my "pre-load" was the PS+ version w/o the full game unlocked. WTF?

edit: Getting a refund on this took a total of about 20 minutes, most of which was spent posting here lol.. Sony support was quick and seem aware there is some sort of issue with this, or maybe with pre-orders in general where double charges are possible.

All 3 are up on the plus section of the store, bundle/ps3/vita. But right now only the bundle one is unlocked, the others will too, eventually/hopefully for you.

I'm sure they'll delete the second charge; I'm waiting on their online "chat" web form.

But yeah; fairly messed up obviously.

In this case: it is all being done on the console that isn't marked my "primary." Might be why I see this bug of sorts. And yes, I double checked.. the charges are both under the same PSN ID. I thought at first maybe I was seeing my wife's purchased content as "the PS+ demo version" but the charges are both to the same PSN ID.

No biggie as long as they delete the charge without too much hassle.

Yeah I'm sure I hit a weird combo of circumstances bug, and not the "norm" for such pre-orders.

edit: So yeah, they are going to have to refund me the whole $98. Person was smart enough to know that which means they may be running into this already. That will kill my license and then I can re-buy.

I think it's as simple as pre-ordering and pre-loadinng from your non primary console. This created a situation where I had a "bad license" that enabled the 49.99 buy button. The usual protection against buying the same license twice might have broken due to the fact that my initial purchase was for a "pre-order" and the new one is missing that.. might be 2 different SKU's or just "not unique enough" to get past Sony's "double purchase protection." Just a guess.

Weirdly, I already own Spelunky on Vita (and I assume the other platforms, but I'm not sure). The PSN store just let me "buy" all three again. Wonder if this has to do with Spelunky being marked as $0.00, not $14.99 with PS+ discount to $0.00.

I pre-ordered the $49.99 edition last week or so, did my pre-load on Sunday and have been playing the full game all day today, near as I can tell anyway. I'm not limited to just India at least.

I've unlocked some of the "dlc?" trophies also.

This is speculation, but I believe they delayed the digital launch because of server problems caused by NBA 2k15. They don't want to melt the servers and are holding off on Driveclub till the smoke clears.
