Looks like Driveclub PS+ Edition might not be coming today

I'm on the phone currently with PlayStation. They've put me on hold, but I am pretty determined to get my pissy attitude heard, even if the person on the other line rolls their eyes and neglects everything I say.

I'm going to rant about how I've been a Plus member since day one and that Sony themselves stated all the games would be available the first Tuesday of every month-- anyone else have anything else for me to complain about (if it's at least faintly rational)?

Why do people keep saying this? What if you paid for PS+ this month specifically so you could get Driveclub? How does that make it 'free?'

Consumers need to be smarter about what it is they actually are and aren't paying for.

That would literally be the only scenario where someone could have a valid complaint here. How many people do you think fall in this category?

Id call them an idiot. The second part makes it even more so because the "consumer" should be smart enough to know its cheaper to catch the psn deals that popup every year near this time.

I'd love to read where it says you're entitled to the free version of Driveclub the day it releases.
Well Sony specifically said that it would, as has been pointed out repeatedly in this thread (with links and everything). Don't let that stop your little crusade though.

Does DriveClub PS+ edition not work after your subscription expires?

Not the free version, obviously. It's like every "free" PS+ game. But if you upgrade it to the full version, that's yours to keep even if you stop subscribing.

EDIT: Saw you edited your post to say demo. Well, this is more than an ordinary demo. You get 1 full location (11 tracks), 10 cars, and all the features of the game. You can even get all the trophies with just the PS+ version. Feature-wise it's the full game, just with less content.

Is it not Tuesday where you live?

And so you can play it tomorrow. You're not owed anything here.
I wouldn't put it like that, but I think it's remember that sometimes shit happens and we have to roll with it. This is hardly on the same level as, say, hardware failing afterall, more like a UPS delivery not coming because the plane didn't take off that day for whatever reason.

Versus a lazy delivery man, which is just bullshit.

.

At least sony isnt just tossing the box on your doorstep breaking the item inside =\. Thats some shit that has made me rage hard before.

Please be nice to the person who takes your call. None of this is their fault and they answer support calls for a living, which has to suck. I'm sure they deal with people being mean to them all day. Be polite. Not only is it the right thing to do, it usually gets you better results.

They've only been promoting this for a FUCKING YEAR.

I really hope this goes up tonight.

There are 6 other free games this month. Additionally, the day is not over yet. This thread is some next level complaining shit, wow.
I pay for a service. This isn't some free community charity program. I expect my service to deliver in a timely and consistent manner. If you don't have such standards, that's your problem, not mine. If we pay for a service, we're perfectly entitled to complain when we feel it doesn't deliver.

umm...no. sony specifically said we'd get driveclub today. if they fail to provide driveclub ps+ edition on october 7th, then there is a valid complaint to be made by ANY ps+ subscriber.

now is it a huge, burn-the-house-down kind of deal? not to me it isn't. but saying it's not worthy of any kind of complaint is just being silly.

when you are a business who provides a service to a customer, you have a responsibility to provide said service, espeically if it was promised to you. driveclub ps+ edition coming out tomorrow is like your pizza you ordered coming to your house 30 minutes later than you were told. you certainly have the right to complain about it, and the service provider should certainly apologize for the issue.

Ok, how about this...Who here paid for PS+ SOLELY BECAUSE of getting Driveclub PS+ Edition?

No one? Ok, then this game in a bonus for you and you can be patient. Plus the last time I checked its still October 7, 2014. So promises technically aren't broken yet.

Sincerely,

A PS+ subscriber that has an unpopular opinion but has patience because its a game.

Haha this seems waaaaaay more your problem than mine. Try pix the cat while you wait, my man. It's amazing!!! Driveclub will be available soon :)

Yeah, he's the one with the problem. Right.

Cancel your subscription if you aren't satisfied with the service. Don't call and tear into some random schmuck who has zero control over what is uploaded to PSN.

"It is just a game" is a pretty useless contribution on a gaming forum, on the gaming side, in a thread about a game.

this exactly plus this game is the only ps4 + game i actually want to play on day 1 so far..

It is! It's also apparent that the store has updated and that every Plus game for the month is now available, yet I don't even have the option to buy Driveclub, let alone play the "Plus" Edition."

I realize that I'm acting like an entitled asshole, but I'm honestly kind of pissed about this. I opted out of a work-related $10 purchase of this game so I could try the demo out first, but that window closes in a matter of hours for me, so getting my hands on it is pretty crucial-- nevermind the fact that it's been widely advertised as a "bonus" Plus game for the month, which, by what I can see, has already been published.

There IS an option to buy Driveclub if you are a PS+ member. Look at a post of mine on the last page or two. You just have to go the option to buy it for $49.99 not the normal price for non plus members.
