I hope Uncharted 4 doesn't blur out his face when you get the camera closer, which seems to be the trend with modern games. Back in PS2/Xbox games, I would love just panning the camera to get a close-up of the protagonist.Yeah, that makes more sense. But man, LOD transitions happening on the face...seems really tricky. Don't know if it would create weird data streaming issues if you pan the camera around really fast.
Am I the only one seeing quite a bit of

The thread title is a bunch of bullshit...
Nathan Drake isn't a murderer, it's the player that chooses to kill them.
If you dont wanna kill then dont kill.
But don't come here and call him a murdering asshole.
What do you call the character in GTA? Ghandi?
I wish this game is 60fps for everyone to stop spreading the "30fps is more cinematic" bullshit that many developers use as an excuse because they are less talented/lazier. Plus, it will also look great, leaving no excuse for the low standard that 30fps is these days.
he looks like Tobey Maguire.
Nathan Drake is the most casually sexy murderous asshole in gaming (Uncharted 4)
he looks like Tobey Maguire.
Great. Can't wait for the "30fps cinematic" crowd to try and convince everyone that somehow, the smooth frame rate makes it worse in any way. Time for this thing to find its way to the silly PR phrases hell and hang out with his friend, blast processing.Well your wish has been granted. ND confirmed 60fps during e3
Poor guy. That's exactly what happened to me when I tried to crack a smile for a photo with Akira Yamaoka.Haha there you go fellow gaffer http://youtu.be/FkcJ2Qv3Nwc
Are you sure you're not thinking of Claire Redfield?
Have you seen Tobey Maguire?he looks like Tobey Maguire.
Uncharted and GAF don't seem to mix well anymore, shame

I dont understand how the thread title relates to the thread.
On topic this game looks gorgeous and I want to play it.

He essentially looks how you'd expect him to if he was plucked from out of his Uncharted universe and inserted into the TLoU one. Aged Nate does look great, but everything surrounding this game including his appearance is gloom and grit thus far, even if ND assure us that's not the case. I need that Indiana Jones matinee vibe to shine through, and soon. All it takes is a few explosions and some wisecracks.
Was it ever mentioned in the 3 games about him being a murderer?
Anyone called him out on it?
I think Lazarovich in UC2 says something to that effect. Was it ever mentioned in the 3 games about him being a murderer?

The main game mechanic is fighting people in third person. They could make stealth and sneaking past people a more viable option but other than that I don't know. I don't remember Indiana jones ever dwelling on killing.wut?
The problem stems from many combat encounters not allowing evasion. Even when you stealth you tend to have to kill everyone in the combat arena. By that standard even Joel is less of a murderous psychopath.
And to the GTA point, particularly in GTA 4 and 5, the characters are considered (and often self-identify as) sociopaths and psychopaths. GTA 5 was the most interesting in this regard, with the primary protagonist identifying as a psychopath based on the actions of the player (ranging from "I'm doing what I need to do. I'm a good guy, it's just a shitty situation" To "I ran over a guy a few minutes ago and I don't think I give a fuck").
Uncharted 4 has to address it. And hopefully better than that "You're hurting people, Nate" weaksauce of Uncharted 3.

Didn't U2 and U3 both release dark wreck footage of a beat up serious Nate as the first trailers too?
The only winning move is not to playWat? how is that possible? you have to kill in those games, no matter what.
Edit: Hello? strafer? pls respond, i want to learn how to NOT kill people in Uncharted games.
Uncharted is too light-hearted a romp to seriously tackle the moral fibre of Nate's character and conduct. You don't watch the Indiana Jones films and concern yourself with how many henchmen Indy has put out of commission during his search for some ancient relic. Not unless you're some kind of weirdo.
They did, but they didn't quite run with it to the extent that 4 has. Two trailers, both pretty dark in tone, an aged and weary looking Nate and an ominous subheading in "A Thief's End." It doesn't exactly spell FUN so far does it?
