Looks like a man whose a bit weary of murdering hundreds of men and women
Was it ever mentioned in the 3 games about him being a murderer?
Anyone called him out on it?

Oh lawd. Noto thiso sh*t again. Yeah he kills a bunch of people - so what? Nobody needs to mention anything about it because we all have eyes to see the killing. And he loves it too. So what??? I also like the killing. That's why I play a third-person shooter.
Wat? how is that possible? you have to kill in those games, no matter what.
Edit: Hello? strafer? pls respond, i want to learn how to NOT kill people in Uncharted games.
I actually thought this was a new thread at first.Yesterday, this thread was a little... different.
It isn't the killing. I'd be happy with Elena just calling him, outright, a sociopath. The character needs to be made aware that he isn't a good person. That would be enough.
Yes, from the reveal trailer it would appear he is older and married (likely to Elena if I had to guess).Drake looks great!
But for real, is he supposed to be older in this game? He looks like he's aved 10-12 years from U3
Now drake officially looks like mass murderer

What about sam fisher or snake?
Did we have these mass murderer discussions before?

Those ghosts don't count.Don't get me started on that bastard Pacman.
It's amazing how many people don't know the difference between murder and self-defense/survival.
As far as I remember, Drake never killed any unarmed people in any of the games.
How do you look like a murderer? Is there some unspoken profile nobody else knows about?

Yeah, he has that sociopath look. It's good. He looks like the kind of person to step on others to get what he wants, now. I think him being more muscular adds to that.

We can't ever have a nice Uncharted thread in this place. If it's not the why-is-Drake-killing-everybody crew it's the Uncharted-3-is-worse-than-Satan contingent.
Why? What is this "character needs to be made aware" thing? Is that so moralist gamers can be satisfied? So that people can feel comfortable liking Nat even though he kills many people? Even setting aside the fact that he does get regularly called out for his lifestyle by people ranging from villains to friends, all those people he associates with also participate in shooting everybody up (including Elena).
You're talking about someone from a troubled background who grew up on the streets and now associates heavily with the criminal underclass. He's a liar, a thief, a fraud and a murderer and he knows it. But somehow because he's also a charming and likeable guy people seem to have difficulty resolving this in their minds. They want the game to take a nice moral high ground for them and shake a big moralist finger at Drake so that he can hang his head in shame and we can all feel better about everything. It does my head in.
Snake is not a mass murdered
Not really comparable given both the companies historiea of in game and cg.As much as of in-game as the drake one is (aka, you don't know until you actually play it). Both those images are renders made and presented by the companies that make the game and you will only be able to verify if they are true or not upon finally playing it.

A short scene like this would be fittingIt isn't the killing. I'd be happy with Elena just calling him, outright, a sociopath. The character needs to be made aware that he isn't a good person. That would be enough.
Naughty Dog always used pre-rendered cutscenes. Just that they were rendered in the game's engine. The character models did always have a noticeable buff though. Not really comparable given both the companies historiea of in game and cg.
This is by far the most turned on I've ever seen anyone in an interview. And honestly, and I hate to admit it, but I rarely see any girls react that way to me.
Wow, just, wow...My problem with all the killing in Uncharted is that they build this supposedly relatable character that stumbles upon his way and always barely gets out of a rough spot (aka Indiana Jones), but they completely destroy that characterization by having him kill thousands of enemies.
Worse than that is that the platforming is very poor so the games don`t take advantage of traversing through beautiful places and the action they focus on is very mediocre. These things combined turn Uncharted into something much, much less than it could be and what it does mechanically, it doesn`t do very well. They`re enjoyable games, Uncharted 2 is mostly a very fun adventure with great setpieces, but I think it loses a lot in quality when it tries to appeal to the shootbanger crowd.
Considering they`re having critical and commercial success, I doubt it will change, but hey, just my two cents.
Well, it's not like "Drake's deception" and a trailer of Nate lost in the desert taking the gun from the hand of a dead corpse buried by sand sound like a lot of fun either
I agree on the first part.
Typical vague trollish responses that never get into specifics.. I love GAF!!
What about them? Its possible and encouraged in those games to finish without killing anyone. Without even making contact at times.
Drake is a mass murderer, its not even debatable. But in his case, its kinda acceptable since he isnt really ever pitched as the good guy. Just the lesser asshole. Not that different from CoD or any other shooter.
The new Tomb Raider is where shit gets truly hilarious. Especially considering how hard they pitch the whole thing as a vulnerable kid that needs protecting.
