Feels good to be playing my first Wii U game on the telly and stuff. ;)

(It's not the crate sliding one, that's going to take a lot longer)

This might not be useful, but I love love love the look of the menu.

Coulda sworn they hinted at an Animal Crossing theme when first introducing themes with the update, but I didn't see one on the shop.

Eh, Japan got a bunch of AC themes so I'm sure they're coming. Gotta leave some for future shop updates.

Who needs AC themes with the Hanafuda goodness out there?

Working on some new maps in my game (ZaciSa's Last Stand). This time it's 2 maps featuring cross-overs from PING 1.5+ (game next week launch) and BLOK DROP U. Anyways, RCMADIAX did a preview of my game's new map and several other colabs (PING 1.5+, MAZE, U Host, Twisted Fusion X BLOK DROP U)

I got a little creative, so I made it so you can play BLOK DROP U while playing ZaciSa's Last Stand. :P

Do we already know how big Smash Bros. WiiU will be size wise ? I wanna download it from the eShop - but if its +10GB i will pass on it.

Nope. We won't know until either the JP website updates with the product details or press gets review copies and breaks their NDA by leaking it (*waves at Tilmen*)

Nope, it hasnt gone gold yet, unlike Bayo 2 and Hyrule Warriors which were both done long before release in the west, Smash Bros WiiU isnt finish just yet

Dakko just announced on Twitter that the Scram Kitty update is out. I don't have access to my Wii U right now to check it out. Can anyone confirm if it is available in Europe? As per maxcriden's advice I've been holding off playing it until the improvements were made, so I can't wait to dive back in.

I think it even downloaded itself this morning already. Hadn't turned it on since then.

Yep, evidently it's out everywhere now. It came out about a week ago in NA, but per The Moon above (haha), it's available in EU as well now. I did email dakko dakko to ask about some more specifics about the patch, but as you saw in the tweet it's more about general game balancing. I'm really eager to see what you think of it, I was just playing some of the game earlier today and I really do love it.

Shantae's $20 price wouldn't be so bad if it was cross buy with the Wii U vers.

If both is $20, that's kind of a lot!

If the game was 15hrs long it might be okay. If its like 6hrs long, than I'm sad to say it's overpriced!

I don't suppose anyone knows anything about the release of Art Academy for the Wii U? I thought it was supposed to be this month.

I would say quite a few publishers/developers overpriced their games on the eShop. $20 is a piss take especially when you know they will release an iOS version for a tenth of the price.

I know, I was thinking about that last night, really hope it doesn't slip :( did spot that it's listed for 2015 on the spanish ninty site but who knows if that's wrong, a placeholder, specifically to do with europe/translation or whatever.

Where did you get that info from?

Are you reviewing the game?

"Pirate’s Curse should keep speed runners busy for the next several years. Risky’s Revenge still contains ways to in increase play time that have yet to be discovered (yep!), and Pirate’s Curse contains a vast many more shortcuts. It is possible to beat Pirate’s Curse to some extent without any major backtracking, but it requires mad skills. Initial playthroughs should take players around 7-10 hours, and several more to unlock all content. Speedruns have been clocking in at around 3 hours, and that’s testers who have had several months with the game."

It's a 2015 game. Appeared as such since the latest Ninty release schedule from their most recent Investor Meeting.

I think it's 2015 in one region, 2014 in the other.

It doesn't really matter either way--it's an eShop game, so they're just gonna spring it on us with minimal lead-in.

Anyone try out Pop'n Twinbee: Rainbow Bell Adventures? Hoping to get this in NA soon.

I wouldn't count on it. The SNES version never came out in the US and 3rd parties don't seem too keen on doing import releases on the Virtual Console. Even if it came out for VC they would probably give us the inferior European version, which runs at 50hz and had some content cut out of the Japanese release.

But we're getting quite a lot of them...

Still waiting for the off-TV fix for ittle Dew. Will buy it once can play it off-TV. :P
Still waiting on this and the promised off-tv patches for both X-Type+ and 1001 Spikes. I don't understand why devs don't include off-tv play immediately or why these patches are taking so ridiculously long, wasn't it quoted as being like minutes of work to implement?

Man I want to rebuy the Castlevania GBA games, but I just can't justify it.

I already bought Smash, and I'm buying Bayo this month. Don't have the budget for a bunch more since we just bought a house.

I bought The LETTER for 49 cents...had to.

Got out of the initial room..a.nd then I got to the dark field where I had to find that shit and I found three of them, but the controls are so brutal I couldn't do anymore :(

Best 49 cents I ever spent.

Looking at Nintendo's last financial report it's 2014 in both Japan and Europe but not even scheduled yet for America.

What do you guys think is a better name for a solitaire game for Wii U: "Solitaire", "Solitaire U", or "Solitaire U!"?

I know the whole "U" thing is overdone to death, but figure might get it more attention/recognition as a Wii U game. Anyways, thoughts?

How about "U Solitaire?"
Although that wouldn't really work well for sorting/categorizing, but "You Solitaire" makes more sense than "Solitaire You"

But, anyway, probably Solitaire U.

U, Me and the Solitaire

As we're nearing December...really hope SEGA will release the 3DS classics Japan go this year =(
I tweeted them to request getting them released some months ago.

Also decided to get Tetris GB, sucka cost $6 but it'll be well spent.
It's Tetris after all :V

I like the "U" thing a lot! It reminds me of the "Super" thing, or the "64" thing

Sadly the GC never had a "thing". The Wii had a "Wii" thing

Forever Solitaire.

I vote for this one. I like the U thing better, but this could get MIiverse talking (and buying :)) if you play it right (meaning banner and icon)

So are you making a Solitaire game? I suggest you add several randomized "endings" to keep it interesting.

Simple screens or animations, quick but cute and following a theme maybe

Like the "endings" on game boy tetris!!!

7 hrs isn't bad but $20 still kind of steep considering RR was $12.

If it's cross buy, I'd bite.

No no no, don't do the U thing!
