What do you guys think is a better name for a solitaire game for Wii U: "Solitaire", "Solitaire U", or "Solitaire U!"?

I know the whole "U" thing is overdone to death, but figure might get it more attention/recognition as a Wii U game. Anyways, thoughts?

You should call it "bro U even solitaire?"

I suck at naming things. ;_;

According to the new issue of Nintendo Force, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is as long as Shantae for GBC and Risky's Revenge for DSi combined.

Sounds like it's gonna' be worth the $20 asking price. Can't wait for the sweet Jake Kaufman (virt) soundtrack.

Considering the Wii U Gamepad DOES have a gyroscope (or the equivalent) built in, it seems possible, but I imagine they might run into some issues getting it to run on the controller. Plus I don't know how well some of the mini-games which require spinning the device 360 degrees would work with such a huge controller.

Still amazed me that the copy I lost for months (I still want to know how my dad managed to do that, yet not my actual GBA) was found in our backyard garden, with the label pretty much gone & the cartridge full of dirt, yet STILL WORKED.

Ultra Solitarie and play a bit with the logo on the U of Ultra to resemble the Wii U logo/gamepad

Still waiting on this and the promised off-tv patches for both X-Type+ and 1001 Spikes. I don't understand why devs don't include off-tv play immediately or why these patches are taking so ridiculously long, wasn't it quoted as being like minutes of work to implement?

I can't speak for X-Type but 1001 Spikes is just Nicalis bein' Nicalis.

Wait, 1001 Spikes still hasn't been patched to include off-TV play?

Yeah....at this point, I wouldn't expect that to ever happen then. I've also given up all hope in ever playing The 90's Arcade Racer. I'm glad I didn't support that KS, even though I was very tempted to.

The 3DS version still flickers/shimmers like crazy for no reason, right?

Bear in mind that Nicalis originally announced that game for release in holiday 2012.

I am indeed doing a Solitaire game for Wii U. Think "Solitaire U" or perhaps "Forever Solitaire" is best choice. $0.99 game, submitting it next Sunday, if not sooner (mostly complete, just tying it all together cleaning up loose ends.) Doing simple/smaller games in between bigger projects to help support them.

Speaking of which, ZaciSa sales download number just reached it's 1st major milestone! :)

"Solitaire Unlimited", maybe? Just trying to think of something that matched with Forever Solitaire while still keeping some semblance of the "U" theme.

Maybe you could add decks with characters from other eShop games at some point--not at launch, necessarily, but later on, just to drum up a little more interest if you feel like sales are starting to plateau. A lot of eShop indies seem pretty open to those sorts of cameos, as you'd well know.

EDIT: Congrats on your sales milestone, by the way.

I bought it. I think I still need to rate it though.

Congrats, that's awesome!

What are the chances we could see WarioWare: Twisted on VC? Used copies aren't as cheap as I would like.
I think there was a GBA emulator for Wii that got the game running perfectly using the gyro in the Wiimote, and the Gamepad has gyro too, so I don't really know what would be stopping them if they wanted to release it.

I'd definitely buy it again though. It's one of my favorite games of all time and second favorite on GBA after Mother 3. Which should also get a VC release at some point.

The namedrop in the Digital Event still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth! :(

I know, I was thinking about that last night, really hope it doesn't slip :( did spot that it's listed for 2015 on the spanish ninty site but who knows if that's wrong, a placeholder, specifically to do with europe/translation or whatever.

It's a 2015 game. Appeared as such since the latest Ninty release schedule from their most recent Investor Meeting.

Ah, drats! Ever since the E3 trailer, I was looking forward to developing my artistic side with nintendo's touch this fall/winter. Thank you both.

Ah, still nothing? Have you tweeted the studio?

No. The EU version includes the off-TV fix, but that hasn't even been released yet. Think it was submitted back in July. They said they were porting the to U.S. to release as a patch, but they probably want to get the EU version out first. Maybe it'll be a Christmas miracle? :lol

I bought Zacisa last week, and I just started playing today. Probably put in a few hours. Good game! If you ever want detailed feedback, let me know.

Seriously though, probably just "Solitaire U." That way if/when other solitaire games come out, your name will seem like the main one.

I'm still waiting for the PR, but according to NintenDaan, Donkey Kong Country is this week on Wii U and Donkey Kong Land on 3DS. Reports also say that all three, plus all three Donkey Kong Land are coming soon.

Did they ever fix those constant game breaking/system crashing bugs? I'm never buying a Nicalis product again thanks to the shit of a game that 1001 Spikes is. Not even The '90s Arcade Racer, if it ever comes out.

And out of nowhere are coming the DKCs and Lands. But I would rather have other games first like the castlevanias and the rest of the MegaMans.

Wow, and I was just about to revive that thread regarding their pull out of Wii eshop the other day.

Nice to see them, may actually bite since Tropical Freeze re-made me a big DK fan :D

Also the restore point should be enough to allow me past the most hardcore points. Never finished the GB color version.

If you're planning to do a bunch of smaller games going forward, maybe think of a word that links them all and creates a loose, recoginisable series. For example:

Super Solitaire
Super Brickblast
Super Shootout

But maybe something less obvious than 'super'. And, for .99 games, avoid the likes of 'ultimate' and 'mega' unless your versions really do stand head and shoulders above the competition in terms of features.

Congrats on your ZaciSa milestone. When can we expect to see it in the UK?

I know Donkey Kong Country/Land is the real megaton here, but I am surprised to see Lone Survivor come to Wii U, considering it must have been out on everything else already for at least a year, maybe more.

Regardless, I might buy it if it goes on sale
despite already owning it on Steam having never played it properly
.
