Hey awp! Hey Hoggy, and hey Bronxsta. I'm finally here!

Have you heard about that game M3CH that's coming? I think Chillingo is publishing it, and it's free to play as well. Seems pretty good though
It's More_Badass here. Who's this Bronxsta guy you speak of? :p

Great to finally see you on GAF, Jcho! Welcome to the forums and the IOS threads

For those of us with Brazilian accounts:

Rejoice! We finally have access to the "violent" games. Not all of them are available yet (Hitman Go is, the GTAs aren't, etc) but it's a matter of time. Article above does a good job explaining what happened, it's in Portuguese though.

I still have a separate USA account along with my Brazilian one, but it will be nice to not have to go through the hassle of acquiring iTunes credit from other sources due to the CC restrictions (I never could be assed to do that and only used the USA account for free games). Anyway, good news and I'm glad there were people somewhere trying to fix this silliness, even if it took years.

Wow, Hitman Go was banned in Brazil? That's pretty crazy. Other than plastic snipers that game is no more violet than fruit ninja, haha

Anyhoo, it's a great game. You'll have a blast for sure

Yeah, it was all pretty silly. Although I got that one for free on my USA account through the IGN free game of the month promo, so it all worked out in the end haha.

I believe South Korea and a couple other countries face stuff like this too, with certain games not being available on the local app stores for random reasons. I'm not aware of the details though.

Holy shit, stay away from WWE Supercard.

I just spent the past 48 hours pretty much either playing Supercard or thinking about my wrestlers in the King of the Ring and whether they need a boost or an energy shot.

Literally sapped my 6+'s battery twice in a day.

Final straw was that I was in the "Get Cards" screen and I was WAY to close to just dropping $25 to get some ultra rares or epics...

...for what?! FOR WHAT?!?!

Deleted that shit before my wife divorces me for forgetting to pick up my daughter from daycare or some other crazy shit.

I'm uh, yeah... Star Wars Force Collection did the same to me, only I didn't delete it.

Castaway Paradise is still interesting to me after the "new game appeal" has gone away. Just unlocked a new island (the one with the museum on it), which immediately fueled my compulsions to fish more often and catch more bugs.

Hey JCho, good to have you here! Been a while.

Yeah, don't go cheating on us with the 3DS folk. More_Badass has his name for a reason. LOL.

Think I do remember hearing about M3CH at a while ago. Have to keep an eye out for it too. Mech shooters are few and far between on iOS.

Gah! I've been spotted! *hides behind cape*

Also, I have Hitman Go installed right now, I can confirm lack of violnce in game...I assume it'd be because of other games in the series, but it's a weird decision either way

This was pretty much me with that Love Live: School Idol game. The songs were a nice distraction but I wanted those fancy cards. Deleted the game and never looked back after not getting any ultra rare cards when spending 50 of the premium currency. It was like a massive weight was lifted from my shoulders.

I must confess that Card Dungeon is growing on me.
While at first you had one nice run out of 4-5 boring ones...now (third world) things are always interesting (even in first ones, due to unlocked cards)....and bosses are damn hard.
I wish it would sync between devices and let you start from last visited dungeon tough, instead of having you redo the whole thing from the start....expecially because the game doesn't save the state.

New Words With Friends is pretty dope. Very clean. I like it a lot. All your games transfer right over to the new one. It's a separate app not just an update to the old one.

So im looking to get a version of phoenix wright for ios, but which is the best/newest version? since there are so many.

I was thinking that this was the best version: Itunes

That's game 5 in the series. If you're just starting out, it probably wouldn't be as good as starting from the beginning.

This is the first three games (with updated art to look nice on iOS): https://itunes.apple.com/nl/app/ace-attorney-phoenix-wright/id365681816?mt=8

The only other Ace Attorney game on there is the original port of the first game, which should be avoided now that the HD version is out ^.

About time! :D

I have Auro on Android. And, yes, I know there's an Android gaming thread. But I know more people over here and also thought there's a better chance of getting a response.

Anyway, the last update dramatically changed the narrative and the starting levels. They basically went from being far too easy and a cake walk to very difficult and almost impossible IMO for someone starting the game.

Anyone playing it (on iOS) and feel the same? I enjoyed the mechanics of it but just got around to diving back in --- only to find my progress gone and an insane difficulty change. The new narrative seems good. But I'm not surviving long enough to enjoy it unless I'm not playing it correctly. Too many enemies swarming around all at once.

As far as I know Auro is not out on iOS yet, just submitted.
Will be out in 1-2 weeks.

Wow. That was quick. Sorry, for some reason I thought it was out on iOS.

....walks away with his head down in shame...

I kind of wonder if the Android version has almost been like a big beta test. Because like I mentioned, the mechanics stayed the same but the story and difficulty changed in a flash.

Just copied my post over to the Android thread. Hopefully, I can get some advice so I can give a better impression when the iOS version does come out.

EDIT: The game was updated again over the weekend and fixes the issue. Evidentially was starting the game in the wrong place in Story mode.

...hangs head even lower and walks away in disgrace..

Someone posted something that looked like a combination of flower, frogger, and jumping flash. i know at the time i looked it up, there was no release date. does antyone know the game?

like the art style. Is the gameplay basically paper toss, with some other stuff?

The above example snippet of the game is actually only a minor part of the overall experience which brings in more team management and strategy aspects.

But even in this corner of the gameplay, there is more than just shooting for the basket.

We should have more video snippets released in the next week which will give a rounder picture of the title.

If I recall correctly the iOS version was submitted at the same time as the Android version, but got rejected, and that's why it's coming later.

I sent them a message the other day but no answer... last time they told me they were porting it to a better engine and could take a while. At least it isnt dead.

hmmm that sounds a bit like new star soccer, which i loved.

So the next big thing has arrived for me. How this thing flew under the radar, I don't know, because it checks so many boxes and does so many things right. It's the ultimate addictive F2P game for me. This game, Faraway Kingdom, is basically a combination of Tiny Tower, Happy Street, Welcome to the Dungeon, and Puzzle & Dragons. You build your city sideways while also building down in dungeons and sending your heroes out on raids for loot. The heroes you collect are awesome, themed characters with loot that drops according to their type -Mage, Priest, or Warrior. For example, my Priest called Gabo, I've been collecting the Robin Hood set of gear for him and I'm a hat away from having a complete set. This game has all the compulsions of RPG gear collecting, Tiny Tower money earning, Puzzle and Dragons hero collecting and leveling, and just so many little touches that make it such a fantastic game for me. It looks daunting at first - I actually started it, played the first battle, then deleted it after I saw multiple currencies. The thread at TouchArcade convinced me that I should revisit it. Multiple currencies be damned, it's really generous with gems and I drew an Epic hero, Zack the Zombie Hunter, with my first pull with crystals. And it's fun to grind, as you get loot at a good rate. I'm constantly hoping I'll get that next piece of gear to outfit my Rare Priest to finish out his set. This game just hits so many chords for me. I can't stop playing.

If you think this sounds awesome, you can download it here:

Faraway Kingdom - Dragon Raiders by Smilegate West, Inc. and Dinocooler
https://appsto.re/us/kmq80.i

This game has a referral system, and if you would like to help us both out (you get 10 friendship coins which will get you a loot pull in the shop, I get 5 crystals), my referral code is: Flunkie44

Also add me as a friend with the same name, as I have an epic hero as my leader! (This goes a long way in raids, trust me)

Sounds good, but so far it's apparently only been released in New Zealand.

I been playing a great game -been out for a year now- that plays with gravity, solving puzzles to advance to the next level. Its great, fun and has a great art style and charm. Its called Zuki´s Quest and its a dollar. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/zukis-quest-turn-based-puzzle/id687112608 Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dad6rBRQTQQ

And better yet, the developers announced an incoming update that reworks the scoring system -making it a competitive GameCenter affair- and the graphics, updating it to Unity standards. This is the kind of thing I love the most, app support. Keep your apps updated to current times, not abandon them after they are successful with your customers with it. So many awesome games lost due to this... Kudos to TinyTouchables for this. I think they deserve a shoutout.

Faraway Kingdoms is one of the best games I've played on iOS. Tiny Towers + RPG = amaze. The raiding gameplay is surprisingly fun.. very ambitious of them for even incorporating this style of gameplay into a game that already has a defined formula.

Anyone getting glitches with the Tiny Tower Vegas ads? They're crashing the app whenever I try to watch them. Kind of feeling like dropping the game though, had a fun time with it but after 34 floors I'm not feeling the drive to build all of them. Wish they would update with GC achievements, it's all pointless but it's still an incentive. :P
I have the same issue now. Funny thing is, it started happening the same day I bought a chips IAP. I doubt there's a connection between the two, but it still felt crappy. I built everything in TT and TDS, so I'll probably keep plugging away at this one too until I get all the floors.

I just started playing Terra Battle, and it's fun so far. With the bonus energy (lightning bolts) they give you after the tutorial, I pulled and SS class mage. The rest of my team is B, C, and D class, but I've made it about halfway through chapter 3 already without any real problems. It could change sooner or later, but I also haven't run out of stamina. That's a good sign since that's often what gets me to drop a game. Another thing I've noticed already is that you don't get a lot of coins, so it's probably a bummer to wait so long to hire more team members if you don't get a good pull at the beginning.

I dropped Adventure Xpress because it was the same thing over and over with very little depth. Fun concept, but there are just too many other games like it that are a lot better.

I'm still having fun with Spider-Man Unlimited. The energy mechanic in that is basically a non-issue for me now because you get sent energy from people in the game often enough that by the time you run out, you are usually ready to stop for a while. I've pulled some 6-star cards in the game, but leveling them up is a huge pain. It also sucks that there's absolutely no difference in gameplay no matter which Spider-Man you play as. I play a lot of behind-the-back runners, and this one ranks high on my list of good ones.

Another game I've been playing (still) is P&D. The thing is, I don't think I'm getting any better, so it's losing its appeal. I just don't want to delete the game because I have some cool Batman and Evangelion cards in my collection.

just leaving a plug to a little game i've developed, the name is Rolling Dillo

Little trailer i've put together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_wIrqYvzEY

I hope you guys enjoy it :D

Are there any sim city or roller coast tycoon-esque games that are worth looking at?

Just getting into iOS gaming (5s) looking to get an iPad by year's end.
