Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Demo | Code Share | Bring on the Trumpets!

Pretty bare bones demo really, but better than nothing. Definitely would have preferred Mega Steelix. That said Ruby and Sapphire were the only generation of Pokemon I outright skipped at the time they came out, so I'm genuinely looking forward to playing through the remakes.

Apparently if not already known:
The Johto Guardians, Sinnoh Dragons and Unova Dragons are split between the games. I didn't get much sleep due to work but I didn't see any specifics, but Lugia/Palkia/Zekrom and the Hooh/Dialga/Reshiram.

I think you are wrong. The german Pokemon site said you can either go to participating McDonalds restaurants or sign up for the newsletter.

Edit: Looks like Austria and Switzerland are getting special treatment and can get a code on request. I'll try to set up a proxy to test this tomorrow.

This is way more complicated than it should be. Just put it out on the e-Shop next time...
 
Is there only one demo or are there two demos? Like, one for each game?

I only ask because I have both Ruby and Sapphire pre-ordered at Nintendo Store UK (one will be cancelled once we know what exclusives are in what)

Curious my fake German Nintendo Zone (SSIOD: NZ@McD1) was working yesterday, showed a white page after 00:00 CST while now after several attempts I reached the page with the Pokemon logos but:
"Fehler! Tut uns leid! Dieser Inhalt ist in dieser Region leider nicht verfugbar"
If you translate that, google translate sucks. Bing translator gives the correct meaning.
Yes, I did set the system language to German and my region settings to Germany so it is an IP address lockout. Well, it was worth a try.

All these were horrendously slow and the many attempts it took make me think the Nintendo Zone is getting badly hammered thanks to this.

So in Nintendolife, Amazon pre-order I did yesterday I trust. I suppose I can try guessing what the SSID is for the GAME UK distributions as that won't fall into the IP address problems for me. It is just the setup for my spare router makes it somewhat a hassle to change...
 
oh. This topic reminded me that I grabbed a code at the Suisse Toy fair 2 weeks ago...but I completely forgot where I put it. Aw.
 
So I'm all signed up for the Pokémon Trainer Club thing with e-mails on, so I should get the demo tomorrow/later on today, right? (I live in Canada.)
 
Holy crap, is this thing just infinite? I've played it eleven times now and Stephen still has new adventures for me. I don't seem to be getting any more transferable rewards, though, so I guess it just gets randomised after the tenth playthrough?

For fucks sake! Yes its good that they give everyone a chance (though you chances might drop the longer it goes on for) but what is to stop some people winning multiple times by moving on to a different e-mail.
 
Nintendo Life demo code distribution is up. 30k codes, 250 codes randomly distributed every hour between 10 a.m - 9 p.m for 10 days. Although they said it's only working for UK, probably their system only accept submission from UK IP I think.

I think you'll only need to register once and it will put you into all the draws. They probably check IP though to determine whether a multiple entries have been submitted.
 
Ha ha yeah, not getting a code any time soon, it seems. Oh well, not like I haven't tons of stuff to play :p
 
I've just received a code from Nintendo Life, I used a VPN to register, now I have to wait one hour until I get back home to try it.

If it does not work with my French 3DS I'll post it here.

Goddamn, not the best time to be on vacation at Europe.

My console is US and didn't get a code from Club Nintendo since I wasn't platinum last year, and stores in Chile didn't give any code. Great...

Does anyone have a spare demo key? please?

From Tomodachi Life, to Smash Bros. and now Pokemon - its like they cant release a demo to all their fans in a proper manner. I get that with limited marketing budgets the goal is to create as much word of mouth as possible from gamers looking and searching for codes....but i cant bother with it for every mayor release.
