Not sure what's he's talking about. I literally accepted the free trial 4 hours ago. Make a JP PSN and you'll see the "14" and PS+ pop up. If you skip that section when making the account just go the PS Store > PS+ and look for the "14".

You have to use a different e-mail. If you're using gmail, you can replace @gmail with @googlemail.

Ah fuck I'm getting an error message when I try to get the free 14 days that went up. I think it's cause I used a PS+ free trial from a while back to get Steins;Gate and it won't let me use another free trial.

Guess I'll make another Japanese account

It looks like it will auto-renew once the 14 days are up, so you'll have to turn auto-renew off.

Here's a video on how to turn it off. This is done on a US account, but it's done the same way on your JP account. Just follow the steps and you'll be good.
