How is Endless mode of Montezuma Arena?
Not liking the Puzzle Quest combat system they're going for in this game >_>;

Is 5pb. USA even an actual company? I was under the impression that it was just a PR front through the company (Strangely Compelling) that localized PB:BG. That company had nothing to do with the Corpse Party iOS release other than posting about it. I think PB:BG as well as Corpse Party iOS were both published by 5pb. Games (from Japan).

Your guess is as good as mine. I always thought they were just the localization branch of the company that did stuff like the overseas S;G release.

Back in 2011 in my country, Chile, we didn't have a PSN Store. The big PSN hack thing happened, and eventually the service was up again. Sony offered the "Welcome Back" program, giving games for all of the affected users.

The thing is, LatAM didn't have a store, so we have nutin' (except for those of us who had some accounts in other region). At this point, 2014, we thought we would never see the program in our region.

However, Sony finally gave us the games! I just recieved an email with a Code for five games - inFAMOUS, Datura, Starhawk, Unit 13 and Modnation Racers.

Yup, oldies, and all of those critics, but it isnt two of them or any like the 2011 welcome back thing, is the five of them. And like we say here, "You don't look the teeth of a gifted horse".


Sony really must be still ashamed by the security breach if 3 years later they do this. Thank you very much.

Nope, the overseas S;G release was localized and published by JAST USA, and the PSP Corpse Party games were localized and published by XSEED. More recently, it seems 5pb. has been venturing into publishing overseas digitally themselves (like with Constant C, PB:BG, and Corpse Party iOS). I wish they had their own localization branch, though... not enough of their games get localized.
 
Warriors Orochi Vita is mine for $5. Not bad.

I have a EU psn account but don't even know if it's worth the effort to get minecraft. If it would work on my vita, sure, I guess, but there's no way I'm changing cards for it.

For all the shit some people give Sony, at least they take their mistakes on the chin and don't ban people for them.

Nice story. Thought you would get the games from the original Welcome Back program but you actually got "newer" ones.

Unrelated, but since I got my account recently I wanted to say thanks for your OTs/Impressions. They're always really useful and you have good opinions :D

Which leads me to the question... has there been any news on Stranger of Sword City localization? (not necessarily asking you in particular, just in general as I haven't heard about it for a month or two it seems)
 
Hmm....trying out Minecraft on Vita. It looks interesting, but all the wonders people shown off on the internet really scares the heck out of me. I don't think I'd ever have time for something that grand. The only thing you're doing in this game is building, right?

It's not really just building. The game is a sandbox in the truest sense of the word. That is to say, the game is whatever you make of it. It can be a base building PvP game with friends online/adhoc/splitscreen (not on vita, obvs.), it can be a survival game, it can be a farming simulator, an exploration game, a mining dungeon crawler with lots of resource management... The possibilities are pretty extensive, which is a huge reason the game is so popular. Don't let "Video game lego" completely scare you off.
 
Though honestly it gets boring. The combat is definitely an after thought. I have poured hours into the pc version both modded and vanilla.

Happy I bought this in alpha for like five bucks.

assuming you're talking minecraft. Yeah, I agree the combat is garbage. Most of the games that jumped on the sandbox bagwagon have better combat. That said, it can still be fun muckin' around with friends.

I don't know which Alpha you bought, but the Alpha I bought was about the equivalent of $15
 
Yeah I am talking about minecraft. Great with friends, I can't play solo anymore to zzzz.

Dunno either but the alpha was the first time I ever used pp to buy something and it wasn't fifteen for me. Way less than that.
 
Tried out Unit 13. Seems fun. Too bad the forced touchscreen usage kinda ruins it for me. It adds nothing to the game to force the player to use the touchscreen for menus and in-game actions that could easily be achieved with a button press.
 
anyone mind sharing their audio setup for the PS4/Vita here?
kinda thinking of abandoning my ASTRO Mixamp... - thinking what would be a good alternative
 
Deleted several games to get Orochi on my 64g card in case it disappeared from my download list. And... it's still on the list, which is awesome.

Sony, we're gonna need a bigger card.
